Nine Dragons Saint Ancestor

Chapter 167: 167 Bring the antidote!

”Uh?”

Bi Luo, after all, was a genuine Meridian Refining Genius with rather exceptional Soul Power; she noticed something unusual at the courtyard gate in just an instant and immediately turned her head with a guarded expression.

The events of today were planned by Xuan Zhi, using the death of Guan Hu to lure Yun Xiao into a trap, then to have an Inner Sect Disciple like Bi Luo uphold justice by cleaning house and killing Yun Xiao on the spot.

It all seemed seamless, but there was a prerequisite: that there were no outsiders because the state of Guan Hu’s death was too obvious. Such an intense poison was not something that Yun Xiao, a newly initiated Outer Disciple, could have managed to deploy.

If they could swiftly dispatch Yun Xiao and pin Guan Hu’s death on this youngster, then no one would have anything to say. However, should the ruse be exposed before Yun Xiao’s death, then this play could no longer be carried on.

”Is it you?!”

When Bi Luo turned her head and saw that slightly blurred graceful figure in the dark night, she exclaimed out loud, and her heart sank simultaneously.

The fact that she could recognize the person in such circumstances meant that, at least in the eyes of Xuan Zhi on the side, Bi Luo definitely knew this person and their relationship was probably beyond mere acquaintances.

It wasn’t until Xuan Zhi saw the figure slowly moving forward that he gasped in shock; because the figure in the black dress was none other than Mo Qing – a genius girl from the Medical Pulse lineage of Jade Pot Sect’s Inner Sect!

Xuan Zhi was all too familiar with Mo Qing. Wasn’t it Mo Qing and Yin Huan who oversaw that Outer Disciple initiation test they had?

But for this icy girl from the Medical Pulse lineage, Xuan Zhi didn’t have much affection as he had already received reports from Guan Tong that in Yurong Volcano, it was Mo Qing’s appearance that allowed Yun Xiao to escape disaster, which in a sense, foiled his, Xuan Zhi’s, plan.

”Junior Sister Mo Qing, why have you come?”

Although Bi Luo felt superior in front of Outer Disciples like Xuan Zhi and Yun Xiao, his arrogance significantly dissipated when he faced this genius girl from Medical Pulse lineage of the Inner Sect.

Mo Qing was much younger than Bi Luo, but her Cultivation Talent was comparable to, if not stronger than, the Foremost Senior Brother of their Poison Vein lineage. At least, Bi Luo admitted that he would stand little chance in a one-on-one fight.

”I...”

Asked in such a manner by Bi Luo, Mo Qing who had just entered the courtyard was a bit at a loss for words, and a trace of concealed blush flashed across her face, which fortunately was not very noticeable in the night.

In truth, Mo Qing had no idea what had been happening in the courtyard. She had merely followed Yun Xiao here from a distance, and her original intention, how could she possibly disclose it to irrelevant people like Bi Luo and Xuan Zhi?

Ever since that encounter in the hot springs of Yurong Mountain, where she and Yun Xiao were naked face to face, this genius girl of Jade Pot Sect’s Inner Sect had developed some unusual feelings toward the newly initiated young man.

Before Mo Qing could understand these feelings, they manifested as murderous intent, and in Yurong Volcano, she nearly gouged out Yun Xiao’s eyes.

However, after some time to ponder, especially after returning to the Sect and seeing how dazzling Yun Xiao was in the Outer Sect competition, Mo Qing’s feelings began to change.

Yet not even Mo Qing herself knew what this implied affection really was. Guided by an unusual emotion, Mo Qing did not return to the Inner Sect after the day’s Outer Sect competition ended, but instead found herself inexplicably arriving at Yun Xiao’s courtyard.

Just as Mo Qing approached Yun Xiao’s courtyard from a distance, she saw him follow a figure, indecisive and conflicted for a long time before deciding to pursue, therefore missing the earlier drama.

It wasn’t until a powerful aura erupted within the courtyard that Mo Qing, who was afraid of being detected from afar, sensed something wrong and finally suppressed certain feelings to step into the courtyard.

But Mo Qing did not expect Bi Luo to confront her with a question, was she to say that she had followed here because of Yun Xiao? Even she had not yet sorted through these feelings herself.

However, just as a rush of complex emotions surged in Mo Qing’s heart, she suddenly turned her eyes and instantly noticed Yun Xiao sitting collapsed on the ground. Her delicate face changed, and in a few quick steps, she reached Yun Xiao’s side.

”This... this is... Green Rot Poison!”

Mo Qing, the most talented girl in the Medical Pulse lineage, often dealt with talents from the Poison Vein lineage like Yin Huan and identified the greenish hue on Yun Xiao’s face at a glance, exclaiming in shock.

Moreover, Mo Qing knew that this so-called Green Rot Poison was the most potent poison of the Number Two Brother in the Poison Vein lineage behind her; once infected, the entire body’s muscles would be corroded within a time, and the poisoned person would endure unbearable agony.

The previous Mo Qing, despite screaming about beating Yun Xiao, would never allow anyone to actually make a move on him. This was the reason she had intervened to stop Feng Hang back at Yurong Volcano.

For some reason, Mo Qing, who initially didn’t understand her own thoughts, felt a hint of panic upon seeing Yun Xiao’s face covered with a greenish tinge. A touch of unease flickered in her heart, and she immediately turned her angry face away.

”Bi Luo, bring the antidote!”

Mo Qing didn’t hesitate; she was well aware that the poison could erupt at any moment. If the toxin reached the brain, even her teacher at the Spiritual Rank Intermediate level would be powerless to reverse it.

Mo Qing has never had much fondness for these Poison Vein talents. This was already the second time she saw Yun Xiao poisoned, and the emotions deep in her heart were quite different each time.

”Sister Mo Qing, you don’t know that Yun Xiao brutally killed a fellow disciple. I’m just cleaning house for the sect!”

Although Bi Luo was somewhat wary of Mo Qing’s strength, in such a situation, he couldn’t just obediently hand over the antidote, so he spoke up with a tone that carried a semblance of righteousness.

”Brutally killed a fellow disciple?”

Hearing the crime Bi Luo pinned on Yun Xiao, Mo Qing was moved. She turned her head to look at Guan Hu, who was bleeding from all orifices, and pointed at him: ”The fellow disciple you mentioned, is it this guy in the Meridian Gathering Realm Late Stage?”

By this point, Xuan Zhi had no choice but to speak as well. ”Sister Mo Qing, it is true that Yun Xiao killed Guan Hu here in this courtyard. I witnessed it with my own eyes, there is no mistake!”

”Witnessed it with your own eyes?”

Hearing this, Mo Qing let out a cold laugh and retorted, ”Don’t think I don’t know what your relationship is with the Guan brothers. Can your words even be taken as testimony?”

Although Xuan Zhi postured before the Guan brothers, he was still only a cultivator at the Meridian Gathering Realm Late Stage. Challenged by Mo Qing’s glare, his heart turned cold, and he dared not say more.

”Sister Mo Qing, if Prince Xuan Zhi’s testimony isn’t enough, how about adding mine as well?” Xuan Zhi kept silent due to his Meridian Qi Cultivation, but Bi Luo didn’t have as many concerns, belonging to different factions, he didn’t need to give too much face.

At this moment, Bi Luo, feeling confident, was more than happy to drag things out. With time wasted, once the poison reached Yun Xiao’s brain, not even a Daluo Golden Immortal could save him, so he was in no hurry.

Seeing that her fellow Poison Vein disciple didn’t have any intention of producing the antidote, Mo Qing realized the issue. Not wanting to delay any further with Yun Xiao’s life on the line, she made a split-second decision and blinked to his back.

In her urgency, Mo Qing seemed to have overlooked a crucial issue; she only knew that once the severe toxin reached the brain, not even an Immortal could save him. At such a moment, she had no choice but to resort to desperate measures.

Mo Qing herself was also a Meridian Refining Master at the Mortal Rank Advanced level and primarily studied the Medical Pulse. She was already researching poison treatment and rescue and seemed to be attempting to use her Medical Pulse Technique to detoxify Yun Xiao.

”Baihui, Dazhui, Shenmen, Jiuwei,...”

Under a series of actions by Mo Qing, Yun Xiao had significant acupoints from his head to his back successively pressed, making the Meridian Qi in his channels slow down.

As a Meridian Refining Genius in the Medical Pulse, Mo Qing knew that the most important thing after being poisoned was to prevent the toxin from quickly eroding vital parts like the heart and brain. Once these key areas were compromised, it was essentially a death sentence for the poisoned individual.

With Yun Xiao deeply poisoned, Mo Qing had no confidence in saving him, but she had a single thought: she couldn’t just watch someone be mysteriously poisoned to death.

”Sister Mo Qing, it’s useless, struck by my special poison, unless you have my unique antidote, not only can you not save this boy, you’ll end up poisoned yourself!”

Watching Mo Qing’s actions, Bi Luo revealed an undisguised sneer in his eyes, his words more like a warning.

Indeed, as Bi Luo said, his poison was very different from ordinary toxins, a secret technique passed down in his family for hundreds of years. Apart from the Bi Family, it would be difficult for outsiders to counter such a toxin without a Meridian Master of a much higher realm.

As the second disciple of the Poison Vein of the Jade Pot Sect, Bi Luo had reached the Meridian Refining Level of Mortal Rank Advanced. Although lower than Mo Qing, his family’s poison was not something Mo Qing could easily neutralize.

Moreover, Bi Luo wasn’t wrong about another thing: his poison had a strong adhesive quality, and Mo Qing’s forced intervention to detoxify had a high chance of backfiring.

If she too became infected with the poison, Bi Luo might actually have to consider whether to offer the antidote to save Mo Qing.
