“Amazing…” Sighing softly, Yu Zi Yu marveled at the abilities this Void Elf Form mastered.

While it might not compare to his True Body or the Azure Dragon Form in terms of large-scale power, in terms of speed and unpredictability, the Void Elf was simply absurd.

This, of course, perfectly complemented the shortcomings of the Purple Dragon and Yu Zi Yu’s True Body.

After all, his True Body, being a Tree, naturally lacked agility.

But now, with the Void Elf Form, those situations where enemies could kite him were a thing of the past.

*Haaaaa…* Exhaling a long, deep breath, Yu Zi Yu slowly closed his eyes.

This was a time to seize every opportunity to consolidate his strength.

Such focus was necessary, especially with the Demonic Court’s Grand Ceremony only days away.

At that time, not only would the Demonic Court’s strongest gather, but even some powerful Forces from neighboring Star Domains would send emissaries to attend.

…

Time passed steadily, and three days flew by in an instant.

During these days, word spread throughout the cosmos, both overtly and covertly: the Demonic Court had birthed yet another Eternal Overlord.

And this was not just any Eternal Overlord—it was one who mastered the enigmatic Dao of Space.

“Prepare a grand gift to send to the Demonic Court…”

“As you command, my Lord.”

In the depths of the cosmos, hidden behind the stars, a Major Forces began making moves. Forces such as the Angel Star Domain and Titan Star Domain.

All of this was done with one purpose: to show goodwill.

At least, on the surface.

Of course, should any conflict of interest arise, that was a different matter entirely.

In the vast cosmos, there were no eternal alliances, only eternal interests.

For example, the temporary alliance between the Elementals, the Titans, and the Angels was driven purely by their shared fear of the Demonic Court’s growing strength.

Should the Demonic Court disappear, these Forces would likely wage war against one another the very next moment.

After all, the Elementals, Titans, and Angels had countless grudges, both old and new.

…

Not long after, deep within the grand hall of the Demonic Court, seemingly noticing something, Yu Zi Yu slowly opened his eyes.

“What’s the matter, Nine Tails?” asking casually, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze shifted to the figure of Nine Tails, who had appeared in the hall without him noticing.

“Star God, the First Tower of the World has sent a lavish gift, congratulating you on ascending to the ranks of Eternal Overlords.”

As Nine Tails reported, a hint of contemplation flickered across Yu Zi Yu’s face.

“The First Tower of the World!?” Yu ZI Yu muttered the name to himself, finding the name unfamiliar.

Noticing his confusion, Nine Tails explained, “The First Tower of the World is a mysterious organization of unknown origins. No one knows who controls it. It simply appeared across various Star Domains one day…

They are most famous for their motto: ‘Taking money to help others eliminate their problems.’

It’s even rumored that, for the right price, they could assassinate a Tier-5 True Gods…”

Hearing this, Yu Zi Yu’s understanding deepened.

“Ah, so it’s an assassin organization…”

“Exactly…” Nodding slightly, Nine Tails elaborated further, “But this assassin organization isn’t confined to a single city or nation. It spans multiple Star Domains…”

“Interesting…” Grinning, Yu Zi Yu speculated, “If that’s the case, the organization’s backing must be quite significant…”

For such a group to suddenly appear across Star Domains without any prior indication, there had to be a powerful Force behind them.

Yu Zi Yu even suspected this organization to be a legacy of a powerful Force from the previous era.

“Well…” After a moment of hesitation, Nine Tails responded, “According to Golden Monkey’s analysis, the First Tower of the World may be connected to the Immortal-Slaying Palace, the Force foremost in assassination during the previous era…”

The Immortal-Slaying Palace was one of the most terrifying Forces of the previous era.

According to the legends, it was an organization that had once even attempted to eliminate an Eternal. Though they had failed, the fact that the Eternals hadn’t obliterated them in a fit of rage spoke volumes about their fearsome reputation.

“Got it.” A smile appeared on Yu Zi Yu’s lips. He appeared totally unconcerned.

Since this Force had offered a lavish gift, their intention to express goodwill was obvious.

At least for now, it seemed they had no intention of opposing the Demonic Court.

At that moment, as if remembering something, Nine Tails added, “By the way, Star God, it seems the First Tower of the World has a policy: they won’t accept core assassination missions targeting Major Forces.”

“Is that so…” murmuring softly, Yu Zi Yu began to understand this Force’s way of operating.

They avoided provoking unnecessary enemies, and were content to perform more ordinary tasks across the Star Domains, amassing wealth bit by bit. And with this fortune, they secure resources for their cultivation.

“They are wise…” Chuckling lightly, Yu Zi Yu waved his hand and stated, “Accept their gift for now…”

As his words fell, a thought seemed to cross his mind, and his eyes narrowed slightly as he gave a new command, “Summon the Shadow Assassins to meet me.”

“Understood, Star God.” With a swift response, Nine Tails’ figure vanished from the grand hall.

Not long after, seven petite yet extraordinarily fearsome figures appeared silently in the grand hall.

Each figure was extremely quiet and unique. They exuded an icy, otherworldly aura that set them apart from mortals.

These were the Shadow Assassins of the Demonic Court.

Among them were familiar faces like Zi Lian, King Zerg, Owl, and Silvermoon—Zang Feng. However, there were two unfamiliar individuals as well.

One was Moonshadow Reaper, an assassin from the Dark Elf Clan of Elysia. Having mastered the assassination techniques passed down in her Clan, she was a paragon of the art of assassination.

The other was Seven, hailing from Earth. Rising from the slums, he was known as the ‘Master of the Killing Arts.’ He appeared refined and elegant, which bore no hint of a top-tier assassin, but his reputation as a peerless killer was undeniable.

Silavin: OMG. They took Seven from Scissor Seven! These goddamn references. BTW, if you haven’t watched the Donghua, I do recommend it. It is a true breath of fresh air in terms of the anime scenes (Watch at 1.5x speed if you find the animation too slow).
