Chapter 985, The Marks of Space Principle

An astounding phenomenon surged through the starry skies.

The silver storm continued to expand endlessly.

At its very center, Yu Zi Yu stood with a solemn expression, a rare gravity etched across his face.

This was because, during this breakthrough, he sought not merely to advance but to tread upon the threshold of the Dao of Space, attempting to condense Dao Markings—the Marks of Space Principle.

For instance, regarding Time Principle, Yu Zi Yu had already condensed the Time Gears.

When he had gathered 129,600 Time Gears, he would be able to wield the Time Principle to attain the Realm of Hegemony.

Unfortunately, despite a decade of effort, his Main Body had only managed to create a few hundred Time Gears.

This was not Yu Zi Yu’s fault. The Dao of Time was notoriously profound. As the old saying goes, ‘Time is King, Space is the Ruler, Fate is Unspeakable, and Karma is Supreme.’

This single phrase highlights the status and complexity of the Time Principle and Space Principle among the countless Principles.

Moreover, while delving into One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones, Yu Zi Yu had neither the energy nor the capacity to condense more Time Gears.

And now… he sought to condense the Marks of Space Principle.

Among the Higher Order Principles, only a few could rival Time in their might, and Space was one of them. Condensing the Marks of Space Principle was no less arduous than condensing its counterpart—Time Principle.

But Yu Zi Yu had no choice.

To propel his Void Elf Form to greater heights, the Marks of Space Principle was a necessity.

And more importantly, among the Ten Supreme Principles, the combination of Time and Space—the Principle of Space and Time—was one of them.

In other words, Yu Zi Yu’s Main Body cultivated the Time Principle, while his Void Elf Form explored the Space Principle.

Given enough time, Yu Zi Yu might even dare to shoulder one of the Ten Supreme Principles, the Principle of Space and Time.

Such ambition revealed the vastness of his vision.

Previously, his Azure Dragon Form had entertained thoughts of mastering the Principle of Infinity, one of the Supreme Principles.

Later, his Purple Dragon Form had begun experimenting with the Principle of Good Fortune, another Supreme Principle.

And now, Yu Zi Yu’s Void Elf Form was turning its attention toward the Principle of Space and Time.

*Zeze…* A slight smirk tugged at Yu Zi Yu’s lips. Even he found his appetite astonishing.

But when opportunities arise, how could he hesitate?

Moreover, compared to other Supreme Principles, cultivating the Principle of Space and Time was both the hardest and the simplest.

The difficulty lay in the fact that both the Time Principle and the Space Principle ranked among the top five Higher Order Principles in terms of complexity.

Cultivating both simultaneously was an unimaginable feat.

The simplicity lay in the straightforwardness of the Principle of Space and Time—they required only the integration of the two Higher Order Principles: Time and Space.

Other Supreme Principles, in contrast, were far more intricate.

Take the widely known Laws of Good Fortune (Creation) for example—it demanded mastery over three Higher Order Principles, twelve Intermediate Order Principles, and thirty-six Lower Order Principles just to reach its threshold.

In this way, cultivating other Supreme Principles was akin to navigating a vast, branching tree—complex and grueling. But the Principle of Space and Time pointed directly to the root, requiring only Time and Space, making the path clear and direct.

…

At this moment—

*Hoooooo…* Yu Zi Yu exhaled deeply, his face grave.

Fixing his gaze, he spoke in a deep, resonant voice, “The Dao of Space lies in creation… Creation of space enables storage, entrapment, and even the formation of entire realms…

The Dao of Space lies in layering… Layering of space allows for teleportation and unparalleled speed…”

Each murmur brought forth an aura of profound mystery, swirling around Yu Zi Yu.

This was the state of enlightenment, achieved by consuming Evolution Points to heighten his comprehension.

It was no surprise—the process of breakthrough took time, and for Yu Zi Yu, this moment was merely the beginning of something monumental.

But this was still far from enough to allow Yu Zi Yu to directly condense the Marks of Space Principle.

However, such an opportunity only came once.

After all, only during a breakthrough would Yu Zi Yu’s essence, energy, and Soul reach their peak and resonate with the Heavens and Earth.

Thus, Yu Zi Yu could only consume Evolution Points to enter a state of enlightenment, drastically enhancing his comprehension efficiency.

“The Dao of Space lies in the replacement of space… in reversal…” Another murmur escaped him, and a deeper, more mysterious sensation began to stir within Yu Zi Yu’s heart.

At this moment, it was as if he had transformed into a transparent cube.

He spun…

Transcended…

Once, then again, like an entire space itself…

At this moment, if one observed Yu Zi Yu closely, they would notice that strange crystals began to take shape around him…

These were the Marks of Space Principles.

Much like the Time Gears that Yu Zi Yu had previously condensed.

Or like the volcanic patterns condensed by Redbeak Platypus.

These were the finest representations of Yu Zi Yu’s understanding of the Dao of Space, the sublimation of his comprehension.

…

Time passed slowly, and Yu Zi Yu’s comprehension continued.

However, after half a day, the silver storm gradually ceased expanding. Alongside this, the terrifying aura that had been rising all the while also finally stopped its increase.

Its ascent had finally reached its limit.

Even so, countless beings who felt the terrifying aura were pale with fear. They felt as though an entire world was pressing on their chests, leaving them with a feeling of suffocation.

Even beings as strong as Nine Tails had their pupils contract to the size of pinpricks. A series of illusory silver chains intertwined into a sphere, surrounding her.

[Master… you are truly becoming more terrifying,] Nine Tails, who knew Yu Zi Yu well and understood that the Void Elf Form was just one body of Yu Zi Yu, could not help but murmur to herself.

The Dao of Space was the most profound.

And now, this body of Yu Zi Yu was actually treading upon it.

Looking closely, amidst the gradually fading silver storm, one could see that Yu Zi Yu’s form was surrounded by dozens of diamond-shaped crystals.

However, these were not true crystals. Rather, they were the marks of Yu Zi Yu’s comprehension of the Space Principle, produced from its sublimation.

Now, looking from afar, one could see these diamond-shaped crystals creating ripples in space each time they passed through, like fish gliding through the water, leaving ripples behind.

It was a kind of beauty difficult to describe, but it was also unsettling, because these were not cutting through the water’s surface, but cutting through the very fabric of space.
