*Thud…* A loud and heavy footstep echoed deep in the canyon, sending terrifying tremors that continued to spread outward.

One by one, Humans who had boarded helicopters stared in astonishment at the monstrous creature slowly lifting its feet in the depths of the canyon.

Monster Zero’s entire body had turned crimson, appearing as if the flames straight from Hell had ignited its body.

Every time it took a step, the entire canyon shook incessantly.

The entire scene gave the impression of a trapped beast breaking out with an unparalleled fierceness.

“Professor, is what we’re doing really right?” Witnessing the increasingly terrifying momentum of Monster Zero, a young man couldn’t help but gulp hard, cold sweat dripping down his temples.

“Do we have any other choice?” The old man who had just negotiated with Monster Zero heaved a sigh before adding, “Zero is the most genetically perfect Mutant Beast in our Mutant Beast Database. Not only that, but its physical structure has surpassed Human understanding.”

“Its body lacks any kind of skeleton. Its massive mass is entirely supported by a collection of muscle fibers that resembles metal, Its cellular structure throughout the body functions like electromagnetic coils, granting it the ability to generate powerful electromagnetic fields and absorbing electromagnetic waves. It can also use electromagnetic metamaterials to form unidirectional energy shields under the skin via electromagnetic pulses. In addition, it also possesses terrifying regeneration. Even when subjected to hundreds or thousands of nuclear explosions, even if its outer layer of skin is burnt to a crisp to the point that it turns into plasma, the lower layers of its skin can regenerate in an instant.”

“Haaa… if we had not employed extremely targeted attacks, it would have been almost impossible to defeat such an existence.”

Speaking up to this point, the old man raised his gaze and looked deeply in the direction of the sea, before speaking with resentment, “And now, the onslaught of Sea Creatures has forced us to release this terrifying creature, so they will bear the cost with their blood.”

Listening to the old man’s words, the young man fell into a brief silence.

The old man was speaking the truth. If America hadn’t been pushed to the limit, they would never have chosen to release this terrifying monstrosity.

More importantly, they even promised the mythical ‘Wyvern Egg’ to it.

There was only one such Wyvern Egg in the entire America, and it was the biggest trophy obtained by America’s expedition to Australia. Even to this date, the researchers had not been able to completely analyze the sample data.

However, in order to compensate for the consumption of Monster Zero, and even to induce a transformation in its bloodline, they had no choice but to offer it, albeit extremely reluctantly.

The true value of the Wyvern Egg lay in its connection to myths and legends. According to American researchers, the genes of the Wyvern Egg, and even others, were completely different from those of other organisms on this planet.

It was an indescribable mystery, as if it were a whole new form of life. And it was eggs like this that possessed the potential to awaken the deepest bloodlines of Mutant Creatures and even Humans.

Just the potential, nothing more.

While the possibility was slim, it did exist.

In the current era, when everything and everyone was evolving, no one knew where the end of evolution lay. However, experts had long speculated that ‘the end of science is theology, and the end of evolution is myth.’

All biological evolution was heading towards mythology. For instance, a lizard had evolved into Wyvern. Or Monster Zero, who had evolved into an Ancient Behemoth from a Sea Python.

Now, the existence of this Wyvern Egg may allow the creatures to encounter the word ‘myth’ in advance, opening up deeper levels of evolution.

In light of this, one could easily imagine how precious the Wyvern egg was. However, even if it was precious, so what?

If America failed to ward off this Sea Creature Invasion, everything would become a thing of the past. In this regard, America’s courage was praiseworthy. This was definitely the kind of courage that a world leader before the advent of the Era of Transcendence should have.

Even if there was only a slight possibility, America was willing to give up the Wyvern egg just to trigger further evolution of Monster Zero.

While Monster Zero was terrifyingly powerful, powerful enough to make people tremble, no matter how strong it was, faced with the terrifying creatures of the sea, it was still somewhat lacking.

Therefore, America had no choice; they could only pin their hopes on that elusive possibility of Monster Zero evolving further with the help of the Wyvern egg.

…

*Roooaar…*

Amidst a deafening roar reverberating through the sky , countless people witnessed a purplish-black giant egg slowly rising into, with purplish-black wisps rising continuously from it and flowing into Monster Zero.

Faintly, countless Humans even heard the mournful wail of a Dragon.

The next moment, as if unwilling to wait any longer, Monster Zero unexpectedly opened its mouth and swallowed the entire giant egg.

*Boom…*

Immediately afterward, an even more terrifying aura violently surged from Monster Zero. At the same time, its body began to undergo changes.

Dark red patterns, resembling molten lava, actually started to cover the body of Monster Zero one after another. The patterns spread continuously until they covered the entire body of Monster Zero.

At this moment, Monster Zero, who appeared as if it had just taken a walk in the depths of molten rock, suddenly fixed its gaze.

“Human…” As if it hadn’t spoken in a long time, Monster Zero’s voice carried a huskiness. Nonetheless, every Human perked up their ears, because Monster Zero chose not to roar but instead initiated a psychic communication at this moment.

In other words, Monster Zero actually chose to converse with Humans on its own initiative.

“Remember your promise…” giving a warning, the hundred-meter tall Behemoth lifted its feet.

The next moment, a deafening thump echoed as earth-shattering tremors coursed through the ground.

The next moment…

*Crack* Accompanied by loud rumbles, the ground split apart, revealing a crack dozens of meters wide.

Monster Zero, which was becoming more and more terrifying by the moment, slowly approached the crack. And by the time Humans reacted, besides the devastation and melting canyon, Monster Zero’s figure was nowhere in sight.

However, everyone knew that a battle on which the fate of the entire continent rested was about to begin.

It was a showdown that belonged exclusively to the apex predators of the food chain.

The most terrifying life forms in this world, creatures that had evolved to the pinnacle were about to engage in an ultimate battle.

It was such life forms that had surpassed Human comprehension.

One thing of particular interest was that Monster Zero had been in America’s captivity for as long as six months, yet they had not been able to completely decipher its body structure, let alone their genetic code. It could be said that they had not even finished 5% of the analysis.

This was a testament to how advanced these creatures had evolved. It was the level that the entire America had been desperately pursuing but had been unable to reach—Tier-3.

Only Transcendents of that Tier could render America helpless.

Of course, if it had been only one or two such creatures, they would have easily handled them. However, when facing creatures that were already immensely powerful and were accompanied by countless others, the situation had truly spun out of America’s favor.
