The Sword God of the Universe

Chapter 2007: Chapter 2007: Doesn’t Care at All

Jiao Jian’s gaze swept over Gong Ding.

The question Gong Ding raised was something he naturally considered as well. Although he entered this universe relatively late, he still gathered quite a bit of information. Palace Master Jing Yan is a member of the Human Clan within this universe. In Jiao Jian’s view, as long as he didn’t go around killing those human clan powerhouses excessively, it was not a big problem.

Moreover, he’s not a Chaotic Practitioner Life without any background or reliance.

”I’ve been very restrained since I entered this universe. Tell me, how many Cosmic Creatures have I killed since I’ve been here? Killing a few Cosmic Creatures, can that be considered a big deal? That Palace Master Jing Yan, does he really care a lot about the lives within this universe?” Jiao Jian said carelessly.

”Lord Jiao Jian is right as well, a powerhouse of Palace Master Jing Yan’s level should set their sights on the entire Endless Chaos. This universe, although it is his home universe, within Endless Chaos is merely a drop in the ocean, a grain of sand in the desert.” Gong Ding nodded, following Jiao Jian’s words.

”Alright, go about your business and try to gather more information about Palace Master Jing Yan while he is still within this universe.” Jiao Jian waved his hand and said.

”Yes!” Gong Ding responded and turned to leave.

Since Jiao Jian had said so, as a subordinate, Gong Ding could only keep quiet.

...

Jing Yun, located in Sky Creation City, had been waiting for news from Duanmu Supreme.

Earlier, Duanmu Supreme had communicated with him, stating that he would soon be able to meet a high-ranking figure among the foreign invaders.

Time passed day by day.

However, Duanmu Supreme did not communicate with him again.

”Why is it being delayed for so long?”

”Whether the meeting between Duanmu Minister and the strong outsider ends good or bad, he should have communicated with me. Now, what’s going on?” Jing Yun frowned.

Under normal circumstances, Duanmu Supreme shouldn’t have been silent for such a long time without communicating back.

”No, I must contact Duanmu Minister and find out what’s going on!” Jing Yun took out his Communication Token.

Jing Yun sent Duanmu seven consecutive messages but received no response.

Gradually, an intense unease built up within Jing Yun’s heart.

If there were no changes, Duanmu Supreme would definitely not ignore him.

”Something has happened, definitely something has happened!” Jing Yun suddenly stood up and left the inner hall.

A command was issued, and the intelligence network of the Sky Creation City Alliance immediately began to operate. As the most powerful force in the universe, the intelligence network of the Sky Creation City Alliance was certainly extremely strong, touching nearly the entire universe wherever desired.

After issuing his command, Jing Yun sent messages to the Supreme beings within the universe, warning them to be mentally prepared. It seemed likely that those foreign invaders wouldn’t leave this universe easily.

Jing Yun’s reasoning was not baseless.

After Duanmu Minister went to meet an outsider beyond the universe’s limit and went missing, Jing Yun believed that Duanmu Minister’s fate was grim. If the foreign invaders had killed even a universe powerhouse like Duanmu Supreme, their next actions were unpredictable.

The Sky Creation City Alliance must brace for the worst-case scenario.

Just a day passed!

A figure dressed in a black robe appeared before Jing Yun.

”Councilman!” The black shadow lowered its head.

”Are there any updates on Duanmu Minister?” Jing Yun asked with a solemn expression.

”Confirmed news, Duanmu Supreme is dead. The one who killed Duanmu Supreme is a foreign invader named Jiao Jian, whose terrifying power exceeds the universe’s limits. The outsider that Duanmu Supreme intended to meet earlier, was this person.” The black shadow reported in a low, solemn voice.

Jiao Jian had no intention of concealing the matter of killing Duanmu Supreme, so the intelligence network of the Sky Creation City Alliance found it not too difficult to uncover the details.

”Damn it!”

”So it’s indeed like this, damned invaders, how dare they... how dare they do this!” A cold light flickered in Jing Yun’s eyes, and his anger boiled.

Since entering this universe, the actions of these foreign invaders had been relatively restrained. Not many Cosmic Creatures had died at the hands of these invaders. Most noteworthy was that no Supreme Level Cosmic Creatures had perished, which was why Jing Yun and others thought it might be possible to resolve things through diplomatic means.

With the confirmation of Duanmu Supreme’s death, Jing Yun’s last bit of hope vanished.

This foreign invader dared to kill Duanmu Minister at will, indicating that they indeed had not valued Cosmic Creatures and had little regard for killing them; whether they be Heavenly Venerate, Supreme Level, or weaker Life forms, to the foreign invaders, they seemingly were all the same, eradicated with a wave of the hand.

”Call the second chair, council members, and all Guest Elders within Sky Creation City to the Great Hall!” Jing Yun said in a deep voice.

”Yes!” The black shadow quickly turned and departed.

...

”Word has it that Jiao Jian has killed a Taoist Realm Life in this universe?”

”Yes, I heard that too! Jiao Jian indeed killed a Life named Duanmu, and this Duanmu held a very high status within this universe.”

”Jiao Jian is truly insane! Since he arrived, I’ve heard he has killed quite a few Cosmic Creatures. Now, he even killed the most powerful Taoist Realm Life in the universe? Isn’t he afraid that Palace Master Jing Yan will be enraged when he finds out?”

”Jiao Jian is different from us! Heh, he has a great background, incomparable to us Loose Cultivators!”

”True enough!”

”But what exactly is Jiao Jian trying to do? In this universe, the strongest Life is merely a regular Taoist Realm. Doesn’t he fear that by killing Taoist Realm Life, the native creatures of this universe would react aggressively? It might trigger a war then! Although we don’t care about the power of the natives in these Seed Universes, this is, after all, Palace Master Jing Yan’s home universe.”

”...”

The news of Jiao Jian killing Duanmu Supreme spread quickly, and other foreign invaders learned of the matter rapidly.

Endless Chaos is vast, but even if the Chaos Creatures entering this universe hadn’t known each other before, as soon as they entered, they essentially made contact, especially those All Things Realm Chaos Creatures, who could easily connect with one another. Some Chaos Creatures were worried about Jiao Jian’s behavior, fearing it would provoke Palace Master Jing Yan’s wrath and cause them to suffer collateral damage.

They entered this universe in search of opportunities, to see if the universe possessed special qualities, not to destroy it. If they truly dared to annihilate this universe, Palace Master Jing Yan would undoubtedly be furious. Keep in mind, Palace Master Jing Yan’s family is also within this universe. Palace Master Jing Yan might be indifferent to outsiders but would undeniably care about his own family.
