The Sword God of the Universe

Chapter 2004: Chapter 2004: Councilman Jing Yun

Sky Creation City has become the true center of the universe.

This city, after Jing Yan left this universe, underwent two expansions.

When high-level Supremes within the universe discovered alien arrivals, they gradually came to Sky Creation City, waiting for the Sky Creation City Alliance meeting. Originally, the councilman was from the Beast Clan, but now it is held by the Human Clan. Although the Beast Clan is naturally powerful and has frightening talents, in terms of growth, the Human Clan is undeniably the universe’s number one.

Nowadays, the Human Clan can be described as having a multitude of strong individuals, with many cultivators at the Heavenly Venerate level. The Beast Clan is also willing to hand over the councilman’s position and accept leadership from the Human Clan.

Of course, the main driving force behind this is the Nine Heavens Divine Phoenix. Because of the close relationship between the Nine Heavens Divine Phoenix and Jing Yan, this also gradually influenced the entire Beast Clan to have a closer relationship with the Human Clan. Moreover, in handling various matters, the Beast Clan is not as flexible as the Human Clan, whose methods are much more sophisticated.

The Sky Creation City Alliance Council has expanded significantly compared to the past, but the number of Chief Chairmen and second chairs remains the same, though the number of council members has increased. There used to be nine council members; now there are eighteen. Both the Chief Chairman and second chair are at the high-level Supreme realm. Among the eighteen council members, the majority are also high-level Supremes, with the remainder very close to high-level Supreme combat power.

Within the council chamber of the Sky Creation City Council, on this day, the majority of the most powerful life in the entire universe gathered.

The Chief Chairman, second chair, and sixteen of the eighteen council members were present. In addition, there were some Guest Elders, including members like Lady Nu Zhen, who also held Guest Elder status in the Sky Creation City Alliance.

After all the members had arrived, the Chief Chairman, Jing Yun, stood up.

Indeed, the Chief Chairman of the Sky Creation City Alliance is Jing Yun, the son of Jing Yan and Gao Feng.

”Everyone!” Jing Yun looked around the room.

Today’s Jing Yun is not the same immature boy as before; he has not only stepped into the Supreme realm but also looks very mature and steady.

When Jing Yun stood up, the whispering stopped, and everyone turned their gaze to him.

”Today we gather here to discuss a matter that everyone might already know. Recently, a group of aliens arrived in our universe. Even if you haven’t encountered them, you must have heard about them. These aliens possess formidable strength; the weakest among them cannot be completely matched by our universe’s Supremes.”

”So far, according to the information gathered by the Sky Creation City Alliance, these aliens have been relatively restrained in their actions. Although there have been instances of plunder, it is still within the alliance’s tolerance range,” Jing Ping said slowly.

”Councilman, these aliens should all have come from outside the universe. Recently, I’ve had a feeling that the number of aliens seems to be increasing; it seems like beings from outside the universe are continuously entering ours. If we don’t formulate a countermeasure, I fear something big will happen sooner or later,” said a Guest Elder belonging to the Initial Creatures.

”That’s right! These aliens, although their actions are currently restrained, by their methods, they obviously don’t regard us as anything significant. Moreover, they are plundering resources within our universe. If we don’t fight back, it will only make them think we are easy targets,” another Initial Creature stood up angrily and said.

”...” Many people stood up, expressing their opinions on the matter.

The majority advocated for a tougher stance against the aliens. However, some felt they should remain restrained, as the enemy’s strength was formidable, and even at Supreme levels, they were not competent against the aliens. If a war were to break out, the consequences for the cosmic creatures could be dire.

Jing Yun’s face had no expression, but his heart was not calm. Although he was the Chief Chairman, he had no experience dealing with aliens. Previously, he had discussed this with his mother Gao Feng, Second Mother Bai Xue, and Aunt Nine Heavens Divine Phoenix, but none of them had a good strategy to handle the aliens.

”Simply enduring is not an option! These aliens have a huge appetite; they are taking the most precious resources from within our universe. We absolutely cannot allow this situation to continue, or the treasures of our universe will be emptied sooner or later.”

”However, our stance cannot be too aggressive at this time. These aliens indeed look down on us; they might consider us mere country bumpkins. If we are too aggressive, it might provoke them, leading to a war. Currently, our understanding of the aliens is limited; we do not know how many there are or if more are coming. The aliens are enormously powerful; if we rush into battle, I fear our universe won’t withstand it,” Jing Yun said.

”Councilman, then what do you suggest we do?” someone asked.

”My suggestion is to attempt contact with the aliens and see what they actually want. Hence, we need to determine if there is a leader among them to have a conversation. This might be greatly beneficial,” Jing Yun said.

”The Councilman’s words make sense; I agree.”

”Yes, it’s advisable to make initial contact.”

”However, who knows if these aliens are willing to come forward and talk with us.”

”...” Everyone nodded gently.

”Councilman! In that case, I’ll make the first contact with the aliens to gather some information. If all goes well, I’ll invite their leader to Sky Creation City for talks. If they refuse to talk, then we can deliberate on how to deal with them further!” Duanmu Supreme said in a serious tone.

Duanmu Supreme is one of the universe’s oldest Initial Creatures. In the past, he had some minor conflicts with Jing Yan, but those trivial matters eventually faded away with time. Now, Duanmu Supreme is also a Guest Elder of the Sky Creation City Alliance. Duanmu Supreme, being a plant life form, possesses unmatched defensive capabilities within the universe. His volunteering to communicate with the aliens was a decision the council, including Jing Yun, found appropriate.

”Duanmu Minister, we would really appreciate your efforts,” Jing Yun said politely to Duanmu.

”Alright, I’ll set off now. The aliens are not hiding, so it will be easy to track them,” Duanmu Supreme nodded and then bade farewell to Jing Yun.

”Everyone, for the time being, please do not leave Sky Creation City. We shall await good news from Duanmu Minister right here,” Jing Yun said to those present.
