The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 789: Chapter 789: That Place Is Forbidden

Xia Ji is missing, and this news has made everyone tense.

Because they all actually know that Xia Ji’s return to the Xia Clan this time definitely has a secret purpose, so now her every move inevitably makes people think more.

Xia Qingcheng, of course, knows their worries, and reassures them: ”You all stay here first, I will send people out to look, and also, I will go out to see.”

This is Xia Qingcheng’s territory, so Ling Yue, even if he feels uncomfortable, can only nod his head.

Because only Xia Qingcheng might know where Xia Ji has gone.

In fact, Xia Qingcheng does not know where Xia Ji has gone, but he is indeed worried.

He is very worried that Xia Ling’s hatred towards him might lead her to do something harmful to the clan, so ever since he saw Xia Ling again and heard about Su Yu, he knew that over the years, the knot in her heart had never been undone.

Therefore, he cares more than anyone about what she might do.

According to his guess, there are two places Xia Ji is most likely to go, one is Tianqing Pool, the other is her father’s grave.

The place where she buried her father is where she lived as a child, at the foot of the mountain, not far from Tianqing Pool.

So Xia Qingcheng, on the one hand, sent people to look in the city, and on the other hand, went personally to Tianqing Pool.

But there were no signs of anyone having been near Tianqing Pool, so he went to her father’s grave and saw the burned paper ashes, proving someone had been there, but the ashes were already cold, so she must have left a long time ago.

Where could she have gone?

For a moment, Xia Qingcheng had no clue.

Could it be that she already went back?

Xia Qingcheng returned to Changhuan Palace again.

And this time, Ling Yue, who had already made a round back at the Holy Maiden Palace and returned, still had no news of Xia Ji.

Now, Xia Qingcheng also frowned, where could she have gone?

Those sent to search in the city reported back several times, and no one in the city had seen Xia Ji.

Until yesterday, Guard Captain Qing Ke, who brought them here, heard they were looking for Xia Ji, and came over to tell them that early in the morning he had seen Xia Ji near the city gates, he even went over to greet her, but Xia Ji only said she was going to pay her respects at her father’s grave.

After hearing this report, Xia Qingcheng shook his head: ”She indeed went, but she left very early.”

So now, regarding where Xia Ji has gone, they have no clue at all.

After all, apart from Mengluo City, the Xia Clan is actually quite large, surrounded by mountains and forests, and with no clues whatsoever, they cannot immediately guess where Xia Ji might have gone.

Everyone momentarily felt a bit anxious.

Han Jing suddenly spoke up: ”What is the most important place of the Xia Clan?”

Han Jing’s question left everyone puzzled, not understanding why she was asking this.

But Xia Qingcheng still answered her: ”It’s the Mausoleum. In the Xia Clan’s Mausoleum, there is an Ancient Tomb that houses the remains of the Xia Clan’s ancestors, that place is a forbidden area, naturally it is the most important place.”

”Can you lead the way?” Han Jing asked.

Xia Qingcheng shook his head: ”That is a forbidden area.”

Han Jing...

”But as Clan Leader, you can go in, right?” Han Jing asked another question.

”Yes.” Although the Xia Clan has rules that no clan members may freely enter the Ancient Tomb within the Mausoleum, he has special privileges as Clan Leader.
