The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 637: Chapter 637: Why Did He Go?

Han Jing stopped her actions, stayed silent for a moment, then turned to ask Lan Ling: ”Are you saying there are many magical plants in the Hanwu Forest?”

Lan Ling nodded: ”That’s right, Yun Feng has been there before. To detoxify the leader, he traveled to many places, including the Hanwu Forest. Although he used to return within one or three months at most, this time he has been gone for almost five years... It’s really... unbelievable...”

Previously, Su Yu’s body was afflicted with the Blood Flame Poison, which was incurable. To relieve his pain and delay the poison’s onset, Yun Feng visited many places, including the Hanwu Forest, known for the abundant magical plants in the entire Spirit Cultivation Realm. Despite the severely cold climate, it couldn’t deter alchemists from seeking remedies. However, many alchemists lost their way in the depths of the forest and never returned.

”No, something’s not right.” Han Jing raised her hand to interrupt Yun Feng, frowning: ”Why do I feel something’s off? Why did Yun Feng go to the Hanwu Forest? And why hasn’t he come out for so long? Since you said he has been there, he should know where to go and where not to go. If he hasn’t come out after such a long time, there are only two possibilities...”

Everyone involuntarily looked at Han Jing with tense expressions.

”First, he encountered danger and indeed couldn’t come back. Second, is the Soul Stabilizing Needle really incurable? Did Yun Feng discover something?” Han Jing voiced her doubts.

”The Soul Stabilizing Needle is indeed incurable, it’s an Ancient Secret Technique, no medicine can heal it.” Lan Ling was quite certain about this, although he didn’t understand the Soul Stabilizing Needle, the ancient secret techniques left by the Divine Clan—everyone had been told about it by their master. Even at the Divine Level, it may not be solved.

So... there’s no need to even think about solving the Soul Stabilizing Needle.

But... Lan Ling was also very puzzled: ”You’re right, knowing the Soul Stabilizing Needle is incurable, what was Yun Feng doing in the Hanwu Forest? Isn’t that very strange?”

With Yun Feng’s personality, he wouldn’t easily attempt anything unless he was sure of it, especially in such circumstances. Without an urgent reason, his first action after leaving Beihan Palace shouldn’t have been to first report to the Ghost Realm with them?

Moreover, Su Yu had already left Beihan Palace and returned to the Spirit Flame Sect, where he was undoubtedly the Sect Leader. He wouldn’t be in danger upon returning to the Spirit Flame Sect.

Even if Su Yu remembered nothing, during that healing period they built trust, Su Yu would surely trust him fully, and Yun Feng should have gone back with him to the Spirit Flame Sect. But he didn’t; Su Yu returned to the Spirit Flame Sect, while Yun Feng went to the Hanwu Forest and vanished without a trace.

No matter how you think about it, this matter doesn’t seem reasonable.

Han Jing asked An Chuxue: ”An’an, when you were in Beihan Palace, did you thoroughly search every corner of Beihan Palace to make sure you didn’t find Yun Feng?”

Han Jing’s intuition told her that Yun Feng was unlikely to be in Beihan Palace, because Han Qingjue detaining Yun Feng would be the most pointless thing, as Yun Feng wouldn’t agree to remove Su Yu’s Soul Stabilizing Needle even if she put him by Su Yu’s side. Therefore, in this matter, Han Qingjue indeed had no reason to lie.

An Chuxue shook her head: ”No.”
