The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 622: Chapter 622: I Have No Grudge Against Her

Han Jing scoffed and laughed, ”Alright, stop performing that deep master-servant bond in front of me. I don’t have time to listen to her tragic love saga. Of course, it wasn’t easy for her; how easy could it have been for someone who could abandon her own flesh and blood? Also, don’t talk about revenge or redemption, pretending it’s all real—I might actually get moved by you.”

Han Jing’s gaze fell on Han Litong, sneering, ”Only those with grudges seek revenge. I have no grudges with her. She struggled to give birth to me; this great favor, I have no way to repay. Thankfully, she abandoned me, so we’re even, aren’t we?”

”Second Miss...she, she is your biological mother after all!” Ying Niang cried uncontrollably. She indeed had never expected this day to arrive. When she personally abandoned that child years ago, she knew it would be hard for her to survive. She had thought the Princess might one day regret it, but now she realized she was the one who regretted it more. She should have persisted, if only she had held on just a little longer, perhaps they wouldn’t be meeting like enemies today...

”Ying Niang, don’t say anymore.” Han Litong’s voice trembled slightly, with a hint of emptiness.

Why did she abandon that child?

It wasn’t because she’s ugly; she abandoned her because she couldn’t face her.

Three years in the Qin Palace ruined her entire life.

Once, she was still that cold and proud young princess of Western Qi Country, until one day, the Dong Qin army approached the borders. For the sake of Western Qi Country, she had no choice but to make a political marriage.

Brother Fengxi went to find her, saying he could take her away, saying that the world’s affairs were not something a young girl like her could control. He said he would protect her lifelong bliss and freedom from worry, he said he would take her to Spirit Cultivation Realm, personally build her a palace, she would always be the proud little princess in his heart.

But she couldn’t, her father was old and her Brother was weak and incompetent. If she didn’t get married, Western Qi Country would be trampled by Dong Qin’s iron cavalry. She, being a princess of the Imperial Family, couldn’t selfishly ignore all of this.

Brother Fengxi said he could lead troops, he could drive the Dong Qin army back.

But she didn’t trust him, neither did her father nor her Brother, Western Qi Country lacked sufficient military strength, even if Brother Fengxi was talented, he couldn’t save the situation at the border.

The only way to make Dong Qin withdraw was a political marriage.

So she bravely, for the sake of her belief in national righteousness, and her duty as a princess, rejected all of Brother Fengxi’s kindness, left Western Qi Country, and walked into Qin Palace.

She came to Qin Palace with the determination to die, but her arrival indeed changed Western Qi Country’s fate; Dong Qin withdrew, and a century-long peace treaty was signed, no longer invading Western Qi Country.

Her mission was completed; she, with herself, saved the entire Western Qi Country.

But ultimately, she still lost herself.

In the cold and lonely days of Qin Palace, thankfully she met Brother Jiu. His gentleness and talent made her fall in love and become obsessed. She broke free from worldly moral shackles, recklessly fell in love with him, and even gave birth to Qing Jue. Although every meeting was cautiously tense, those two years were the happiest time of her life.

In joy, she forgot where she was. She loved as if she were an ordinary woman, forgetting her situation and identity.
