The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 532: Chapter 532: Yes, He Is

However, Xiao Xue was truly angry this time. No matter how much Han Jing followed her and tried to engage her in idle chatter, Xiao Xue resolutely ignored her as if she hadn’t seen her mother.

Han Jing followed Xiao Xue for an hour, spouting countless nonsense, but couldn’t get Xiao Xue to say a single word to her.

Han Jing couldn’t help but rub her forehead; it’s hard to fool a child!

But how could she possibly explain to her? That indeed was her father, but she just couldn’t acknowledge him?

”Xiao Xue, listen to your mother. I really don’t mean to deceive you... Everything I’ve told you is the truth. When you grow up, only then can you meet your father...” Han Jing tirelessly repeated this sentence behind Xiao Xue so many times that she had lost count.

Finally, Xiao Xue looked at her with reddened eyes: ”Then tell me, is he my father? If you’re lying to me, I’ll never speak to you again and won’t want you anymore!”

She was serious! She didn’t want a lying mother!

Han Jing...

Struggling, struggling again, but facing such a difficult daughter, Han Jing finally nodded weakly: ”Yes, he is. But...”

Before Han Jing could finish her ”but”, the little girl already broke into a smile through her tears: ”I knew it, that’s my father! The first time I saw him, I knew he was my father!”

Han Jing... So how exactly did you decide that he’s your father?

Han Jing couldn’t comprehend it; she simply couldn’t understand that so-called... feeling.

Could it be because Su Yu gave her a blood transfusion, making her feel particularly close to him, so she firmly believed upon first sight that he’s her father?

Han Jing grabbed the excited Xiao Xue and spoke to her very seriously: ”Xiao Xue, listen to your mother. I really haven’t lied to you. Even if you know he’s your father, you can’t acknowledge him yet, at least not now.”

Han Jing knew these words were too cruel for a five-year-old child. Despite her intelligence, there were many things she couldn’t understand, so Han Jing told her bluntly.

This was also why she was unwilling to tell Xiao Xue that he was her father.

Xiao Xue was dumbfounded: ”Why is that?”

Han Jing really couldn’t explain.

”Xiao Xue, do you trust me?” Han Jing asked seriously.

Xiao Xue looked at her doubtfully, not nodding for a long time.

Han Jing... Was this a case of her shooting herself in the foot?

”Xiao Xue, you’re a good child, right?” Han Jing tried a different approach.

Xiao Xue nodded and looked at Han Jing in confusion.

Even though her mother had lied to her, she was very hurt, but she was definitely a good child.

Seeing her somewhat cooperative, Han Jing finally breathed a slight sigh of relief, squatting down to look her in the eye: ”Xiao Xue, there are many things about adults that I can’t explain to you. But, Xiao Xue, if it’s possible, I don’t want to lie to you either. I hope you can live happily, and live with your father. But it’s not possible right now, so you must listen. When it becomes possible, you’ll be able to meet your father and live with him. Are you willing to listen?”

Xiao Xue bit her lip, reluctant to agree. Why couldn’t she be with her father when all the other children in Ghost Immortal Town could be with their fathers? Xiao Xue felt a bit aggrieved.
