Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1783: Chapter 1784: She Stopped Caring About Me After Becoming a Mother

For decades, Qi Taiguo had never been as eager as tonight to use every trick in the book to coax his precious son to sleep.

Why? Because he’s itching to get some action, and being celibate for half a year is no joke.

The chance is right in front of him, but the pesky kid blocking his way is unusually wide awake, eyes wide open with no sign of sleepiness.

“Son, it’s already nine o’clock. You should close your eyes now!” Qi Taiguo sat cross-legged on the bed and said to Qi Xiaoqi, who was also sitting on the bed, “A little kid, what’s the point of staying up?”

Qi Xiaoqi blinked his eyes, looking completely innocent.

“I’m begging you, just go to sleep!” While Cheng Su was still in the bathroom showering and hadn’t come out yet, Qi Taiguo gave his son a push, directly tumbling him onto the bed.

See, this is a real dad!

Qi Xiaoqi huffed angrily, turned over on his own, and stuck out his little butt, determined to get up. Sleep just so his dad could enjoy cuddling his wife? He wasn’t having it.

Qi Taiguo wasn’t about to let him get up, pressing down on his little butt with his big hand. Qi Xiaoqi kicked his legs but couldn’t get up.

Seriously, death before dishonor, this Old Qi, going too far!

Qi Xiaoqi turned his head angrily, pursing his lips, making a face like he was about to cry.

“No crying.” Qi Taiguo pointed at him, then softened his voice and pleaded, “Just have a little pity on your dad, would you? A grown man, suffering for half a year, finally has his wife by his side and can’t even enjoy a bit of love. Son, when you grow up, you won’t want to go through this!”

Qi Xiaoqi almost couldn’t hold it in, but then Cheng Su came out drying her hair, heard this, and burst out laughing: “Qi Taiguo, I’m telling you, don’t spout any nonsense in front of our son, spoil him, and I won’t forgive you!”

Qi Taiguo sheepishly complained, “But he won’t sleep. I’ve never seen a kid this spirited at nine o’clock.”

Cheng Su pointed to the milk formula: “Get him some milk.”

Qi Taiguo gave a sound of agreement, jumped out of bed, swiftly got the bottle ready, and after a while, gave it to Qi Xiaoqi, sticking the nipple into his mouth.

With food right at his lips, not taking it wasn’t an option, so Qi Xiaoqi cooperated.

Seeing his son’s eagerness, Qi Taiguo said to Cheng Su, “Times have really changed. Back in our day, we didn’t have things like this to eat. Getting a bowl of rice soup was good enough, and going hungry was common.”

Cheng Su sat on the bedside, saying, “Nowadays, you need money to have things like these. It’s not cheap.”

Qi Taiguo laughed and said, “Our whole family relies on you. Wife, I have to hold on tightly to you.”

Cheng Su proudly puffed up her chest: “Of course.”

She had showered, and since it was summer, her nightgown was a strapless silk one, without wearing a bra, Qi Taiguo’s eyes turned red.

Seeing his wolfish look eyeing the feast, Cheng Su couldn’t help but feel both shy and amused, glaring at him and turning her back.

“Just sit like this, why turn your back? Can’t even look, is there no humanity?” Qi Taiguo reached to pull her hand.

Cheng Su said, “Qi Taiguo, if you keep talking nonsense, you’ll be sleeping with your son!”

“Fine!” Qi Taiguo sheepishly let go, muttering, “You’ve become a mom and don’t care about me anymore. No conscience!”

Qi Xiaoqi was choked by the milk in his mouth and started coughing. Enough already, he might as well obediently go to sleep!
