Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 281: Chapter 281: Get a Promotion

Cheng Su was treated at home like a little pig for two days before she couldn’t bear it any longer and went out to handle the accumulating affairs—I have to acknowledge that time is essential, and we’re short on manpower, so currently, I don’t have the luxury to enjoy a life of leisure.

And after the quarrel with Qi Taiguo, if he took a step back, she couldn’t step forward—she also had to take a step back to give each other some proper space; otherwise, if things continued like this, the relationship between husband and wife could turn from good to bad.

It surely wouldn’t do for the business to grow bigger and bigger, while the home was completely neglected—that would cause the affection between husband and wife to gradually fade. In her previous life, she had seen such examples.

Therefore, when it comes to allocating time, she needed to plan it well. More importantly, she needed to upgrade the people who could assist her.

The company needed watching over and managing, and the restaurant also couldn’t be neglected. Since she couldn’t be in two places at once, Cheng Su officially made Qiulan a permanent employee and promoted her to be the supervisor in charge of service management and billing at the restaurant.

Qiulan was very excited, holding Cheng Su’s hand and asking several times, ”Really? Are you really promoting me to supervisor?” In her excitement, she felt a bit embarrassed and said, ”But, I don’t think I’ve done very well. He Yue, she’s doing great too!”

He Yue then said, ”Qiulan, you’re not getting it. You’re a senior employee, and whether you’ve done well or not, Sister Su definitely has it all figured out.”

Cheng Su smiled and replied, ”He Yue is right.” She looked around at the employees in the restaurant and said, ”I actually notice everyone’s hard work. Joy Soon Loy Small Restaurant is doing so well now, thanks to all of your efforts. What I want to tell you all is that our Joy Soon Loy Small Restaurant will definitely not just have this single storefront in the future. As long as the business is good, and we have sufficient funds, I will certainly expand our operations.”

”Today, the restaurant is just this small place, but in the future, we want to more than double its size. If we have the ability, we will even take Joy Soon Loy to other locations. By then, you will be the veterans, and once we set up branches, we’ll definitely need you to be the pioneer bulls, sent to other branches to manage, to be the store managers. So, even if you are not promoted now, don’t be disheartened. However, I also expect you to work hard, to add value to your future selves. What you learn now is your future achievement and experience, and that’s what makes a good manager, isn’t it?”

”Yes!” Old Song was the first to start clapping his hands.

Everyone else’s applause followed suit.

”Also, even though Qiulan is promoted, she is still one of the employees, only with more responsibility. As colleagues, you should help each other. If something isn’t done well, correct it—that’s how we all improve,” added Cheng Su, looking towards Qiulan.

Qiulan, blushing, bowed to everyone and said, ”I will do my best, please supervise me.”

It wasn’t easy to achieve such respect and results; she had to work hard to catch up to Cheng Su. Even if she couldn’t reach her level, she wanted to become someone like her.

”Okay, you can all ask Qiulan to treat you now!” Cheng Su said with a smile.

He Yue was the first to call out, ”I want dessert, there’s a new dessert shop in front, who’s in?”

”Order whatever you like, it’s on me!” Qiulan said generously.

Everyone gathered around for some fun.

Cheng Su then said to Old Song and Qiulan, ”We will have a small meeting at the restaurant in a bit.”

The two nodded eagerly and followed her to the table in front of the cashier’s desk. Cheng Su did not forget to say, ”And order a bowl of red bean and rock sugar for me too!”
