Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 264: Chapter 264: Quite a few people have come

Qi Taiguo accompanied Ning Gang on a round, thinking his part was over, only for Ning Gang to make a surprisingly significant request.

It was to accompany him to a certain place, which was the new company recently opened by Ning Ge and Cheng Su.

”This kid has grown so big, spoiled by us, and for the first time he is so invested. The Old Master isn’t too confident; afraid he’ll do something improper. I took the opportunity to come and inspect, and visited as well, just to see what kind of spectacle he has created,” Ning Gang said with a smile.

Thus, Qi Taiguo met the esteemed elder, Old Master Ning, and paid him respectful homage.

”Our Xiao Si has disturbed you and your spouse!” Old Master Ning glowed with a ruddy complexion, beaming with laughter.

Qi Taiguo kept denying the disturbance, and looking at the old man’s smiling face, he felt rather bewildered.

Having served in the military for over a decade, this must have been his first time seeing so many high officials, right?

Even though Ning Gang mentioned it was a private matter and desired to keep a low profile, not wishing to cause any influence that might foster a climate of officials protecting one another, they still organized a convoy of four vehicles to visit Cheng Su’s new company.

As the husband of the little sister’s business partner, Qi Taiguo felt honoured to sit in the same car with the two chiefs, answering any questions they had along the way.

Meanwhile, Cheng Su had no idea that a super big boss was on his way to them.

Ning Ge had sent out quite a few invitations, and while not many people came, it wasn’t a small number either. The highest-ranking official was naturally County Chief Ying Jian, and Gong Mingdong, being a school principal, also had considerable respect. There were also Director Li and Mu Yan from the Huaiji Supply and Marketing Cooperative, as well as the deputy director of the Supply and Marketing Cooperative of the city, and so on.

What gave Cheng Su relief was that before the company even opened, Director Li had already placed an order for two hundred jin each of strawberry jam and pineapple, breaking the ice.

And to Cheng Su’s surprise, people from Friendly Food Company were also there.

Ning Ge thought she had invited them, but it turned out they had come uninvited. In Wan Fuyu’s words, being in the same line of business means competition, and with competition comes progress. He also welcomed Cheng Su to visit their factory.

Since they had come, there was nothing they couldn’t discuss openly, so Cheng Su welcomed him with great hospitality.

Indeed, Cheng Su couldn’t help but respect Wan Fuyu for his opportunistic nature, though it might not sound very nice.

Why? The fact that Wan Fuyu would lower himself to visit their small company to learn showed his desire to change and improve his own company, indirectly indicating that Wan Fuyu was not someone to rest on his laurels, and such adaptability was truly fearsome, because he knew when to bend and when to stand tall.

Without any surprises, Friendly’s jam would become a formidable competitor to their Joy Soon Loy!

However, Cheng Su wasn’t the least bit afraid; competition drives progress, and adversaries create the market; she wasn’t scared to vie with Friendly for the top spot in the market!

”President Cheng, the auspicious time is upon us. Everything outside is ready; we are just waiting for you and the honored guests to move over,” Wang Gang came in to report.

Cheng Su smiled and said to Ying Jian, ”County Chief Ying, the auspicious time is here; shall we proceed?” She then nodded to Wang Gang.

Wang Gang hurried out to make arrangements.

Before long, the sound of drums filled the air, signalling the beginning of the lion dance performance.

Cheng Su and Ning Ge, accompanied by County Chief Ying and the others, stepped outside and watched the lively lion dance, their smiles broadening.

At the gateway, a crowd of onlookers had also gathered. Previously, a small factory here had closed not long after its opening, but now this factory was bustling with activity, drawing people’s curiosity.

And just then, Cheng Su felt someone poke her arm. Looking over, she saw several cars slowly driving up and she exchanged a knowing glance with Ning Ge.
