Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 262: Chapter 262 Unveiling and Grand Opening

September 18th, a most auspicious day; today marked the grand opening of the company that Cheng Su and Ning Ge had collaborated on. Cheng Su rose before dawn, washed up, put on her makeup, and got dressed in the tailor-made sapphire blue business suit. Her long hair, which had reached her shoulders, was tied back into a neat bun.

Gazing at her reflection, Cheng Su felt that she’d finally recaptured a hint of her past life as a career woman—sharp, decisive, and savvy, she couldn’t help but smile with satisfaction.

Qi Taiguo stared at Cheng Su in the mirror and said, ”You look truly beautiful today!”

Cheng Su turned to him and asked with a smile, ”Am I mesmerizing you?”

Qi Taiguo nodded and sighed, ”It’s only now that I realize you’re so multifaceted.”

Cheng Su smiled proudly, walked over, pinched his cheek, and said, ”That’s why you need to cherish me well and not let me slip away.”

As Qi Taiguo reached for her hand, aiming to pull her close, Cheng Su said, ”Don’t mess around; I don’t have much time. If you wrinkle my suit or smudge my makeup, I’ll have to spend more time getting ready again.”

”I actually took the day off to support you today, but unfortunately, a red-headed document came down saying that a Chief is coming for an inspection, so I’m sorry,” Qi Taiguo said apologetically.

”It’s okay, I understand,” Cheng Su said as she gave him a quick kiss on the lips. ”Let’s both work hard together!”

Qi Taiguo nodded with a smile.

The couple left home, each heading toward their own future.

At the factory in the Eastern Suburb, there was a large iron gate at the entrance, and the wall of the guardhouse was covered with red cloth, underneath which the company’s name was hidden. When Cheng Su and Ning Ge arrived, all employees had already gathered.

Following tradition, Cheng Su delivered her opening remarks, which consisted mostly of encouraging everyone to cooperate and work hard to make the company successful. Ning Ge did the same.

After the speeches, Cheng Su instructed everyone to take their places and get ready to welcome the guests.

”Has the lion dance team arrived?” Cheng Su asked Wang Gang.

He was one of the company’s salesmen, and Cheng Su had tasked him with arranging for the lion dance to add festivity to the event.

Wang Gang replied, ”They’ve arrived and are preparing in the back hall.”

Cheng Su nodded and then asked another saleswoman, Zhu Lifen, ”Is the temporary VIP room ready? We need a variety of teas, snacks, and fruits, all in good supply. Of course, we should also display our jam and have spoons ready.”

Zhu Lifen, with her bright and generous demeanor, nodded, ”Everything’s been prepared. Additionally, I’ve placed a potted plant. President Cheng, would you like me to remove it?”

”Having some greenery can be refreshing and is a good idea—you’ve done very well,” Cheng Su said with an approving smile.

She wasn’t worried about her salespeople lacking experience; she was more concerned about whether they could think outside the box. Therefore, even though she had hired only four salespeople, each one was sharp and astute.

Cheng Su walked around the entire factory, here offering guidance, there giving directions, fearing something might be overlooked. Not to mention cleanliness—the work areas also needed to be in order, in case any guests wished to tour them. This related to the future development of the company, and she couldn’t afford any mishaps.

After making her rounds, Cheng Su checked the time. It was almost ten o’clock, so she called Ning Ge to join her in welcoming the guests at the entrance.

Ning Ge was dressed in a casual suit today; his good looks and tall stature made him seem even more handsome in a suit, which caused several unmarried female workers to keep glancing over.

Cheng Su, in her professional attire, looked neat and pretty. Standing together, the pair had an air of being a talented and good-looking couple.

As a car drove up, Cheng Su’s eyes brightened slightly—it was an official car, likely indicating the arrival of County Chief Ying.

Indeed, the moment the car stopped, Ying Xiaoya jumped out first, ”Susu, Ning Ge, I’m here.”
