The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 413: Contrast between Azazel and Eclipsya

”...Mama Grimm, do I really have to do this? This food is strange! And my little pot is mine! Iʼve been saving important things in here!” Azazel asks me grumpily without wanting to try what I put on her plate while shaking a little pot full of things sheʼs been accumulating.

”Yes, daughter, you need to eat this, itʼs part of your growth, and you have to stop hoarding these things inside this pot, theyʼve started to rot and now you have to throw them away,” I say, seeing Azazelʼs body, it seems to be changing, not physically, but directly in deeper areas, and I recognize that.

ʼSheʼs evolving...ʼ Sheʼs going to ʼgrow upʼ soon, itʼs happened once before, Azazel was a baby, and after a few months she told me the system said she was a child, and from what I can see, sheʼll soon evolve into a teenager.

This means sheʼll become mentally more mature, self-aware and...finally I wonʼt have her 100% for myself, honestly I donʼt like how the Pandora race grows up too fast, this is now proving to be an inconvenience.

When Azazel becomes a teenager, it would be the human equivalent of being an 18-21 year old girl, that is, adult enough for Eclipsya to try to steal her from me, and I know Eclipsya knows that too, so that brat is going to steal my daughter from me.

ʼHaaa...I wish I could freeze her growth...but Pandora would hate me if I made Azazel stop growingʼ This is so unfair, soon she may be stolen from me, sheʼs already started accumulating mana, the same thing Pandora did unconsciously when she was about to grow up.

ʼ1 to 2 months is probably the maximum...I have to make the most of it while Azazel is still my little and innocent daughterʼ Eclipsya must also be going through the same process since the age difference between the two is not that great.

”Mama Grimm, will I grow up and become like Mama Pandoru? I want to be like Mama Pandoru!! Sheʼs beautiful, and strong, and smart, and amazing!” She says with a smile as I caress her head.

”Yes...you will...” I say, biting my lips hard, I really, really wish she wouldnʼt grow up at all, itʼs truly a cruel fate that my daughter will turn into a young woman who can be taken away from me.

ʼI need another cuteness like this! I refuse to not have a cute little girl to take care of!ʼ Iʼve become addicted to this, I need to have a small, cute little girl to take care of and teach! Having a daughter has created this.

Itʼs stressful, itʼs hard, itʼs annoying and itʼs terrible in many ways, but still I love it, itʼs a fun and interesting thing that makes me not notice how the long life I have is boring for the most part.

Pandora also gives me this good feeling of love, but they are different loves, I love Pandora, but in a romantic and lustful way, while Azazel I love as a daughter that I want to keep and protect.

”But Mama Grimm, why canʼt I play outside then if Iʼm growing up? I want to go out too!” Azazel asks while I remember the past, she could barely speak, and when she did, it was strange and wrong.

Now she already speaks perfectly and can even formulate brilliant ideas and plans, her mental growth is as fast as Pandoraʼs, which increasingly distances her from the cute little girl she was in the past, sheʼs still cute, but now itʼs a different kind of cuteness.

ʼWell...even if she grows up, nothing prevents me from taking care of her as always...ʼ I will fight for her! I wonʼt let her be stolen from me! Even if Eclipsya wants her for herself, sheʼll have a hard time stealing Azazel from me.

Even if I canʼt just kill Eclipsya, I can still find a way to interfere and delay her as much as possible in her machiavellian plan to get my Azazel.

”Daughter, itʼs still not very safe, and youʼre still a child right now...but when youʼre a teenager, Iʼll let you go out of the castle and walk around the city to explore,” I say, giving her permission.

With this, I guarantee that for the next few months she wonʼt leave my castle to explore out there, after all, the more time she spends out there, the less time sheʼll spend with me.

”And little sister Eclipsya?” She asks, mentioning that annoying little pest, unfortunately Azazel likes Eclipsya too much, so she always puts that brat in the middle without even knowing that this brat wants to mess her up in the future!

”Your little sister will also grow up soon...and she wonʼt go out to play with you, sheʼs currently far away for safety reasons,” I say with obvious disgust in my voice, I wish that brat would stay away from my daughter.

”Ah...I wish I could see her soon! Sheʼs cute and fun! Iʼm sure I can make her like me!” Azazel says as I slap my palm to my forehead seeing such foolishness.

ʼShe already likes you, Azazel!! Stop throwing yourself at that damn little thief of daughters!!ʼ I want to scream this at Azazel, that pest already adores Azazel, she just never showed Azazel that love, I donʼt need Azazel trying to increase the problems even more.

...

...

...

”Eclipsya, you seem...bigger?” I say, finding it strange, Eclipsya seems different from yesterday, sheʼs sitting there reading a book and something doesnʼt seem right even though she looks exactly the same as before, but I feel sheʼs bigger, which is strange.

”Hmm? Ah, Master Thalruk, I really am ʼbiggerʼ, my body is accumulating mana, and Iʼve been past the child stage for some time and will soon be a teenager according to the system, but strangely my growth seems to be accelerated.”

”Maybe because Mother Tsukuyomi is a goddess and her body is quite different from others, along with the fact that Mother Pandora grows up quickly, my growth rate seems accelerated,” she says without taking her eyes off the book.

ʼIs this...not abnormally fast?ʼ Eclipsya is not even a year old, but she has already reached the child stage and is close to the teenage stage, even Pandora took about two years before becoming an adult.

”Is there a problem, Master?” She asks with a slightly cute and confused look while I think about what to say.

”None...” Itʼs slightly disappointing, I liked teaching her, but if sheʼs growing up soon, she wonʼt need me as her master anymore, which is a shame, and Pandora will probably take her back to her castle and Iʼll be alone here again.

”Well, howʼs your magic going?” I ask, changing the subject and sitting next to her to help her if she needs it, sheʼs skilled, but still young and despite having a lot of magic compared to any normal being her age, she still has little magic to create a magic as complex as the one she wants.

”Hmm...itʼs going well, although still unstable, I need to improve this magic to be able to make Azazel mine,” she murmurs without taking her eyes off the book.

”Mother Pandora said I should enjoy my childhood, and said I can only take Azazel for myself when Iʼm an adult, but mother is a hypocrite, she got into relationships when she was much younger than me.”

”a-ah, donʼt tell Mother that I called her a hypocrite! Itʼs not an insult! Itʼs just that the act of telling me not to do something when she herself did it is hypocrisy,” she quickly explains, takes a deep breath, and returns to the previous conversation.

”When Iʼm formally a teenager, Iʼll be the equivalent age of all adults, so although Iʼll obey mother, I donʼt know how to enjoy this limiting age,” she says in a slightly grumpy tone.

”How do I enjoy this so limited age? I canʼt do anything without permission, I have low authority over others and over my own body, and I canʼt get Azazel out of my head.”

”Everything I do reminds me of her, so all I can do is study magic to be able to make Azazel mine in the future...I...donʼt know how to have fun like a child should...” She speaks like a confession and a certain rebellion.

”Eclipsya, I think youʼre just not looking in the right direction,” I say, trying to give this brilliant but too rigid disciple some advice.

”What do you mean?” She stops reading the book and looks at me.

”Why donʼt you look for hobbies that you can share with Azazel in the future, look for something you enjoy and that will be useful in the future, enjoying childhood is having fun while free from adult responsibilities,” I explain to her.

”...Oh...”

”Thank you, Master Thalruk, youʼre quite smart...I understand...Iʼll try to look for something other than magic...by the way, Master Thalruk, I found that book on Mother Pandoraʼs anatomy,” she says with a smile.

ʼThat book...ʼ I thought Pandora had taken it with her.

”What did you think?” I ask curiously.

”Interesting, Mother Pandoraʼs anatomy is very unique and interesting to observe and learn, unfortunately my anatomy must be quite different since I donʼt have a tail or a floating halo on my head,” she says with a tinge of regret in her voice.

”Hahahaha” I laugh, leaving her confused.

”Youʼre much more mature than Pandora was at your age...she was a difficult student, she was brilliant, but her personality wasnʼt the best for teaching,” I say, remembering the time I trained Pandora.

”...Could you tell me more about Mother Pandora?” She asks curiously.

”Of course...your mother was a complicated person, but she learned quickly,” I begin to tell stories about Pandora.
