The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 375: Request to the Master

”Wow... this huge island is really up in the air and moving... amazing, how it’s flying?” Zephyra asks as soon as we appear on the master’s island. I moved Zephyra, Tsukuyomi, and Eclipsya through the shadows.

”Well... you know, I’m not really sure? You’ll have to ask the master...” I immediately see someone coming out of the library door, and he also sees me, and his gaze is terrible.

It’s the gaze of a rebellious daughter who hasn’t called in ages, suddenly appearing out of nowhere asking for favors.

’Damn... maybe I should have invited him to my birthday party...’ The distance is still huge, so we start walking, and as we get closer, Zephyra notices my master.

”That child...”

”It’s not a child, Zephyra, it’s the owner of this island... he’s also my master” There’s no point in lying, he’s my master because he trained me, and I’ll at least have the respect to treat him as a master, even though I’m now much stronger than him.

”Wait here, okay?” I say as I take steps forward, reaching the door where my master is, a boy with blue hair and blue eyes wearing white clothes, nothing has changed in him as expected.

”Hello, master...” I say as he crosses his arms.

”I didn’t allow you to enter my library, nor to bring visitors, and you also opened a hole in my barrier,” he says in a reprimanding tone.

”Well, I thought I could leave my wife and my daughter here, along with the mother of my daughter, this place is safe...”

”Who told you I’d take care of anyone? I’m not a babysitter or anything like that, and my library is not a hotel,” he says seriously, and his gaze is very disappointed.

”Are you mad because I didn’t invite you to my birthday party? Or was it because I never sent letters after a while? Come on, master, don’t be stingy, it’s just for a few months at most,” I say, trying to be nice.

”...”

”Master, you know I can force you to do this, right? You’re a monster, and I’m the Demon King, just like I’m stronger than you, I can force you to obey,” I say as he sighs.

”You don’t have a shred of respect, rebellious pupil,” he says irritated.

”I refuse, I won’t take care of anyone for you. I bet you wouldn’t like it if someone invaded your home, broke something of yours, and then brazenly told you to take care of unwanted people,” he really seems furious.

’Why is he so mad?’ He wasn’t like this when I left, I think I did something that really pissed him off.

”Hmm, I brought my daughter, you can teach her things, how about that? She’s very young, but she’s very smart, I bet you’d like to train her,” I say, trying to appeal to his sentimental side.

”I don’t feel like taking care of your daughter, she’s your problem, not mine. Take your family and get off my island. If you want to come here, you should send a letter and then wait for permission, not just barge in out of nowhere.”

”...grumpy old man,” I say, causing him to make a surprised expression.

”As my master, my problems are your problems if I ask for help. The moment you accepted to train me in the past, you got involved in my future problems. Now take care of my family or show what a failure you are as a master,” As soon as I say this, a vein appears on his forehead, and he seems furious.

”You’ve lost all respect, ungrateful brat! I spent over a century helping you control your true form, and now you want to call me a failure?! You’ve lost your mind, you ungrateful rebel!”

”For me, it was a maximum of a few months. I wasn’t even conscious for most of the time, and the system doesn’t count that time for my age because we were in a room where time passes differently.”

”So, in reality, we only spent a few months together, and I still respect you, and it’s precisely because I respect you that I came to ask for help instead of forcing you to help me,” I can force him to obey at any moment.

”...” He seems hurt by this.

”...Haaa... can’t the master help this time? Just a favor for your cute student who’s entrusting the life of her daughter and wife to you,” I say with a sigh.

”Tsk... your daughter better not mess up my things,” he says, turning his back and opening the door while starting to walk. I happily wave them to come with my hand.

”Thank you for accepting, master...”

”...”

”Hey, master, I’m sorry for not inviting you to my party. I really wasn’t in the kingdom for most of the time, but I would have invited you if I had participated in the initial invitation preparations.”

”My daughter was also kind of a surprise, so I couldn’t invite you. But I believe now is a good time for you to see her,” I say, trying to make conversation as I follow him.

He seems to like taking care of ”children,” even though he’s grumpy and complains. It’s a fact that deep down, he enjoyed taking care of me before and training me.

...

...

...

”Rebellious pupil, your family can share these two rooms here,” I say to Pandora, slightly irritated by all of this.

She invaded my home, created a ridiculously large hole in the island’s barrier, and still wants me to take care of her family, but what really irritates me is that she ”forgot” about me here.

She didn’t invite me to anything important, didn’t send any letters, and didn’t even come to visit. The worst part is not coming to visit, I had made it clear that she could come and visit, but she didn’t even bother to try.

”Okay, thank you, master, this will help a lot, really,” she says, putting the white-haired girl into one room and the pink-haired girl into another room, while holding the daughter in one of her pairs of arms.

’This child... is strong.’ Undoubtedly a monstrous talent, as much talent as Pandora herself, in fact, maybe even more talent.

”Master, do you want to hold my daughter? Her name is Eclipsya,” Pandora says, extending the girl to my hands. I end up accepting, taking the white-haired girl in my arms.

”Master, I’m serious, don’t be mad. I know I kind of ignored you, but that’s because I was very busy, and well... you live on an island that’s always moving, finding you in the past was difficult.”

”Now I can only find you easily because I can cover the entire planet with my mana, which helps me find things,” she says, giving more and more excuses.

”...” I don’t say anything.

”I understand you’re angry... well, at least know that I care about you. You were my first choice when thinking about how to protect those I love... well, I have to go,” she says, leaving me surprised.

”Already? But... you just got here...” I say with a certain sadness. Even though she doesn’t remember, it was hundreds of years inside that place, taking care of her and helping her become conscious in her true form, so I would like her to spend more time here.

”Yes, I’m very busy. I have a war to command, I have to be on the frontline, stabilizing the troops and boosting morale. Look, I even have extra arms to maintain the image,” she says, opening her arms.

”Master, please protect Eclipsya, Zephyra, and Tsukuyomi with your life. The main priority is to defend Eclipsya, and secondly to protect Zephyra, and then Tsukuyomi,” Pandora says seriously.

”Ah, and don’t think I’m choosing between those I love the most. It’s because Zephyra can’t die unless I die, and Tsukuyomi... well, I don’t love her, so she comes last. But my cute Eclipsya is a baby, so she needs extra protection,” Pandora says, like a doting mother.

”Just go already,” I say, wanting her to stop stalling.

”...Okay... I’m going... besides, take it easy with my daughter, she’s...”

”Get out of here before I knock you off the island,” I say, already out of patience. If she said she was leaving, I don’t want her here.

”...I’m still going to say goodbye to Zephyra and...”

”HEY, YOU BASTARD!” She yells as I open the ground, making her fall down, plummeting off the island, and the ground soon closes normally, expelling her from the island.

”Well, girl, you’re now my new disciple. Better not be a rebellious disciple like your mother,” I say to the baby in my arms as I knock on the white-haired girl’s room door.

”Hey, I’ll take your daughter with me. When you’re done settling in the room, you can wander around, but don’t damage any books, or you’ll have problems with me,” I say to the door.

”Okay, if Pandora trusts you, then I guess it’s alright to let you take my daughter. I should be done here soon,” the white-haired woman says as I start to leave with the girl.

”Let’s do a test. I want to offer you some things to eat and see what your body accepts,” I say, curious to note that the girl is a hybrid. This is interesting, although I don’t know what she is a hybrid of.

’Considering that she is Pandora’s daughter... I can probably take the training more seriously.’ I gain a small, excited smile at the idea of training this little disciple.

”As soon as we start the training, we’ll only stop at mealtime, so get ready, little disciple.” Since she is young, it should be easier because she will be less rebellious than Pandora.
