Villain: Manipulating the Heroines into hating the Protagonist

Chapter 695: Chatting Late At Night With Rivalʼs Girlfriend

As the night wore on, Emily began to show signs of fatigue. She yawned and leaned against Wang Jian, her energy waning. ”I think Iʼm ready to call it a night,” she said, her voice sleepy.

Wang Jian nodded, understanding. ”Alright, letʼs get you back to the hotel,” he said, placing his hand on her waist and guiding her through the crowded room. He exchanged quick goodbyes with Jake and Jessica, promising to catch up with them later.

After ensuring that Emily was safely tucked into bed at the hotel, Wang Jian returned to the party, a mischievous grin on his face. Without the need to keep up appearances for Emilyʼs sake, he allowed himself to fully indulge in his true intentions. His thoughts kept drifting back to Jessica, the way she had smiled at him, the slight interest in her eyes that she had tried to hide.

Back at the party, he kept a casual eye on Jake and Jessica, waiting for the right moment. It didnʼt take long. Jake was soon pulled away by a group of his friends who began teasing him, likely about some drunken antics earlier in the night. Jessica was left alone, sipping a drink as she watched the dance floor.

Wang Jian seized the opportunity and approached her with a confident stride. ”Looks like youʼve been abandoned,” he remarked, his tone playful.

Jessica turned to him, her lips curling into a smile. ”Seems that way. I guess Iʼll have to fend for myself now.”

Wang Jian chuckled, standing close enough to her that their arms brushed against each other. ”Iʼm sure youʼll manage just fine. But if you need a dance partner or someone to keep you company, Iʼm more than willing to volunteer.”

She raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by his boldness. ”Arenʼt you worried your girlfriend might get the wrong idea?”

He leaned in slightly, his voice dropping to a lower, more intimate tone. ”Sheʼs asleep, and besides, itʼs just a little harmless fun, right?”

Jessica laughed, the sound soft and melodic. ”Harmless, huh? Youʼre quite the charmer, Wang. I can see why Emily likes you.”

Wang Jian grinned, taking her empty glass from her hand and setting it on a nearby table. ”Well, I try my best. But you know, youʼve been on my mind since the moment you walked into this party. That dress... itʼs like youʼre trying to drive every guy here crazy.”

Jessicaʼs eyes sparkled with interest, clearly enjoying the attention. ”Maybe that was the plan,” she teased back, her voice just as flirty.

The two of them continued to talk, the conversation laced with subtle flirtation. Wang Jianʼs charm was undeniable, and Jessica found herself drawn to him more with each passing minute. He slipped away every time Jake returned, making sure not to raise any suspicions. But each time Jake was pulled away again, Wang Jian would find his way back to Jessicaʼs side, resuming their playful banter as if no time had passed.

Eventually, as the party began to wind down and Jake was once again occupied by his friends, Jessica leaned in closer to Wang Jian, her voice hushed. ”You know, youʼre a lot more interesting than I expected,” she admitted, her eyes locking onto his with a smoldering intensity.

Wang Jian smirked, his heart racing with excitement. ”I could say the same about you, Jessica. Youʼre full of surprises.”

Before he could say more, she slipped something into his hand-her phone number, scrawled on a small piece of paper. ”Maybe we can continue this conversation another time,” she whispered, her breath warm against his ear.

Wang Jian grinned, his fingers closing around the paper as he nodded. ”Iʼd like that,” he replied smoothly.

With that, Jessica gave him one last, lingering smile before walking away, disappearing into the crowd. Wang Jian watched her go, a satisfied smirk on his lips. He slipped the paper into his pocket and decided it was time to leave the party on a high note.

As he walked out of the pub and into the cool night air, Wang Jian couldnʼt help but feel a thrill of excitement. Earth was turning out to be just as challenging and entertaining as he had hoped. And with his newfound confidence and skills, he knew that this world would soon be his to conquer, just like the last one.

The game had only just begun, and Wang Jian was more than ready to play.

Wang Jian left the pub, the cool night air doing little to calm the excitement coursing through his veins. The encounter with Jessica had gone even better than he had expected. Her number felt like a prize in his pocket, a symbol of his success in navigating the complex world of social dynamics on Earth. Despite centuries of experience, the thrill of seduction never lost its allure for him.

Walking back to his hostel, he allowed his mind to wander to the next steps. Jessica was clearly interested, and now that he had her contact information, it was time to take things further. But it had to be done carefully-strategically. Jake was still in the picture, and while Wang Jian had no qualms about playing the game of seduction, he preferred to do so with finesse. This wasnʼt just about stealing another manʼs girlfriend; it was about playing the long game, using every advantage at his disposal.

Once he arrived at his hostel, Wang Jian wasted no time. He unlocked the door to his room, slipping inside quietly. The room was small and sparsely decorated, but it served its purpose well enough. After all, this was just a temporary residence while he continued his studies in the USA. As he tossed his jacket onto the bed, he pulled out his phone and entered Jessicaʼs number into his contacts.

With a smirk, he drafted his first message:

Wang Jian: ʼHey, itʼs the guy from the party. Couldnʼt stop thinking about you since we talked. Hope you made it home safe.ʼ

He hit send, leaning back against the bed with a self-satisfied smile. He didnʼt have to wait long for a response. His phone buzzed, and a message from Jessica popped up on the screen.

Jessica: ʼHey;) Yeah, I made it home. Didnʼt think youʼd actually text me so soon!ʼ

Wang Jian grinned. This was already off to a good start. He decided to keep it light, playful, and flirtatious, just enough to test the waters further.

Wang Jian: ʼHow could I not? You left quite an impression on me. But I have to ask, does Jake know how lucky he is to have someone like you?ʼ

There was a slight pause before Jessicaʼs response came through, and Wang Jian could practically feel her thinking about how to reply.

Jessica: ʼHaha, youʼre sweet. But honestly, I donʼt think he appreciates it as much as he

should.ʼ

Bingo. Wang Jian could sense the crack in her relationship with Jake. Now, it was just a matter of gently prying that crack open.

Wang Jian: ʼReally? Thatʼs a shame. If I were him, Iʼd never take you for granted. I could tell just from talking to you for a few minutes how amazing you are. But guys like Jake... well, they

donʼt always see whatʼs right in front of them, do they?ʼ

Another pause, and then Jessicaʼs reply came through:

Jessica: ʼYouʼre not wrong... Sometimes I feel like heʼs more interested in hanging out with his friends than spending time with me. Like tonight-he barely even noticed when I was alone.ʼ

Wang Jian smirked. It was almost too easy. He leaned into his phone, typing quickly, making sure his tone stayed just right—not too pushy, but enough to keep her talking.

Wang Jian: ʼThat sucks to hear. I noticed you seemed a bit left out tonight. Itʼs crazy to me

that someone as gorgeous and fun as you could feel that way. If I were there with you, I wouldnʼt have let you out of my sight.ʼ

Jessica: ʼIs that so? Well, maybe I shouldʼve spent more time with you instead. Youʼre definitely more attentive than Jake these days.ʼ

Wang Jian grinned, knowing he had her right where he wanted her. Now was the time to escalate things a little more.

Wang Jian: ʼIʼm glad you think so. I enjoyed our conversation a lot-probably more than I should have, considering youʼre taken... but what can I say? Youʼre kind of irresistible.ʼ

Her response was almost immediate this time:

Jessica: ʼYouʼre trouble, you know that? But I think I like it...ʼ

Wang Jianʼs grin widened. This was going perfectly. He decided to push things further, subtly

shifting the conversation in a more intimate direction.

Wang Jian: ʼMaybe I am. But if Iʼm trouble, what does that make you? Because youʼre the one

who gave me your number.ʼ

Her reply came with a playful emoji:

Jessica: ʼGuilty as charged. What can I say? I like a bit of danger ;) Jake doesnʼt exactly keep

things exciting anymore.ʼ

Wang Jian seized the opportunity to keep her talking about Jake, subtly planting seeds of doubt and dissatisfaction in her mind.
