Villain: Manipulating the Heroines into hating the Protagonist

670  Dong Zhuo Gets DIVORCE FROM HIS WIFE

As they approached the imposing gates of the Corrupt Dragon Clanʼs stronghold, their resolve was unshaken. They were met by guards who, recognizing their authority, allowed them entry.

Dong Zhuo, seated in the grand hall with his father Dong Zhi and other clan leaders, looked up in surprise and suspicion as the Nature Clan delegation entered.

Qing Fenghua stepped forward, her voice ringing with authority. ”Dong Zhuo, we have come to address a grave matter. A disease has been afflicting our clan, and we have reason to believe that you are behind it.”

Dong Zhuoʼs eyes narrowed, his expression a mix of anger and denial. ”What are you accusing me of, Mother-in-law? Do you have any proof to back up these claims?”

Qing Fenghua held her ground. ”We have evidence of the diseaseʼs composition—poison and draconic energy, mixed with the power of nature. Only someone with your unique abilities could create such a concoction.”

Dong Zhuoʼs father, Dong Zhi, stood up, his face stern. ”These are serious accusations, Qing Fenghua. You are accusing my son of treachery. This could lead to conflict between our clans.”

Qing Lurou, stepping beside her mother, spoke with conviction. ”We do not seek conflict, but we will not tolerate any attempts to harm our clan. If my husband is innocent, he should have no fear in facing these allegations.”

The tension in the room was palpable as both sides stared each other down. The Nature Clanʼs delegation stood firm, their determination unwavering. They knew that this confrontation would be a turning point in their struggle for autonomy and survival.

As the accusations hung in the air, a sense of foreboding settled over the hall. The Nature Clan and the Corrupt Dragon Clan were on the brink of a confrontation that would determine their future.

The tension in the room was palpable as both sides stared each other down. The Nature Clanʼs delegation stood firm, their determination unwavering. They knew that this confrontation would be a turning point in their struggle for autonomy and survival.

After a moment of tense silence, Dong Zhuo took a deep breath and spoke, his voice filled with a mix of pride and frustration. ”Very well. I am willing to present myself to whatever test the Nature Clan deems necessary to prove my innocence. However, I have one condition. It must be my wife, Qing Lurou, who conducts the test. Only then can I be assured that there are no tricks being played against me.”

Dong Zhiʼs eyes widened in surprise and disbelief at his sonʼs words. He clenched his fists, his expression a mix of concern and frustration. ”Zhuo, you are being foolish. This is a dangerous game you are playing.”

Qing Fenghua and Qing Lurou exchanged a glance, their expressions hardening. Qing Fenghua spoke first, her voice laced with a mixture of determination and suspicion. ”If you are truly confident in your innocence, then so be it. Qing Lurou will conduct the test.”

Internally, Qing Fenghua began to doubt her initial certainty. If Dong Zhuo was so willing to undergo the test, could it be possible that their Great Deity had made a mistake in identifying him as the culprit? The thought gnawed at her, but she pushed it aside, focusing on the task at hand.

Qing Lurou stepped forward, her heart heavy with the weight of her duty. She held a small vial of blood, extracted from a Nature Clan member afflicted by the deadly poison. ”I will use an ancient artifact of our clan, the Verdant Crystal of Truth, to compare the minute traces of energy in this blood with Dong Zhuoʼs energy.”

The Verdant Crystal of Truth was a revered artifact, known for its ability to detect the faintest traces of energy and compare them with pinpoint accuracy. Qing Lurou carefully placed the vial of blood on a pedestal, and the crystal began to glow with an eerie green light.

As Dong Zhuo extended his hand towards the crystal, the air grew heavy with anticipation. The artifact reacted violently, its light intensifying and pulsing with a frenetic energy. The reaction was unmistakable—Dong Zhuoʼs energy was a perfect match with the traces found in the blood.

Gasps of shock and disbelief rippled through the hall. Qing Lurouʼs hands trembled as she watched the crystalʼs reaction, her heart sinking with the realization. She stepped back, her expression a mix of hurt and pure, intense anger as she glared at her husband. ”You... you did this,” she whispered, her voice shaking.

Dong Zhuoʼs face paled, his eyes wide with shock. He knew he hadnʼt created the poison, but the evidence was irrefutable. ”This canʼt be right,” he muttered, staring at the crystal in disbelief. ”There must be a mistake.”

Dong Zhi and the members of the Corrupt Dragon Clan were equally stunned, but they quickly recovered. Dong Zhiʼs mind raced as he considered the implications. ʼWe need to take action now,ʼ he thought. ʼIf we attack the Nature Clan while they are still in shock, we can gain the upper hand. This is our star; we have the home advantage and our array formations are in place.ʼ

Meanwhile, Qing Fenghua felt a surge of intense anger. She chided herself internally for doubting their Great Deityʼs spirit. ʼI should never have doubted the Great Deity. Dong Zhuoʼs treachery has caused grave injuries and deaths among our clan. He will pay for this.ʼ

Dong Zhuo, the most shocked of all, struggled to comprehend the situation. He knew he hadnʼt created the poison, and the artifactʼs reaction seemed impossible. He stared at Qing Lurou, his voice barely a whisper. ”Lurou, this artifact is wrong. I swear, I didnʼt do this.”

Qing Lurouʼs eyes were cold and filled with fury. ”Iʼve had enough of your lies,” she said, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her. ”You have brought nothing but pain to our clan. This relationship is over. We are no longer husband and wife.”

Her declaration sent shockwaves through the hall. A green aura began to leave Dong Zhuo, the Blessings of the Nature Clan that he had acquired through his marriage to Qing Lurou. The aura dissipated into the air, signifying the end of their bond. Dong Zhuoʼs power, significantly bolstered by these blessings, weakened dramatically.

Dong Zhi, realizing the gravity of the situation, acted swiftly. ”Attack now!” he commanded, unleashing a massive poisonous cloud. The purple corrupt smoke spread rapidly, enveloping the hall.

Qing Fenghua was ready. With a swift movement, she activated an array formation that cleared the poison cloud and created a spatial tunnel.

”Retreat!” she ordered. The Nature Clan delegation quickly moved through the tunnel, escaping the Corrupt Dragon Clanʼs star without harm.

As they emerged on the other side, Qing Fenghua and Qing Lurou took a moment to catch their breath. Qing Fenghua turned to her daughter, her voice filled with resolve. ”We will not let Dong Zhuo or his clan go unpunished. This treachery will not be forgotten.”

Qing Lurouʼs eyes blazed with determination. ”I will support you completely, mother. My past feelings for Dong Zhuo mean nothing now. I will slaughter any and all members of the Corrupt Dragon Clan that I come across.”

Qing Fenghua nodded, pleased by her daughterʼs words. ”We will return to our star and inform the Great Deityʼs spirit of what has transpired. This incident marks the beginning of a new war between our clans.”

As they made their way back to the Nature Clanʼs star, the gravity of the situation settled in. The confrontation had reignited the long-standing conflict between the Nature Clan and the Corrupt Dragon Clan, setting the stage for a fierce and unforgiving war.

Qing Fenghua and Qing Lurou swiftly made their way back to their home, the star of the Nature Clan. The star, bathed in verdant hues and resonating with the vibrant energy of nature, provided a stark contrast to the dark and foreboding atmosphere of the Corrupt Dragon Clanʼs domain. As they descended upon the lush green fields, their determination was palpable, their resolve unwavering.

Upon their arrival, the mother-daughter duo wasted no time and headed straight for the sanctum where the idol of their Great Deity was enshrined. The sanctum was a sacred place, surrounded by towering ancient trees and vibrant flora, exuding an aura of peace and divine power. The idol of the Great Deity stood at the center, an imposing figure carved from jade, its eyes gleaming with an otherworldly light.

Qing Fenghua approached the idol with reverence, her voice filled with both respect and urgency. ”Great Deity, we have returned from the star of the Corrupt Dragon Clan. As you foretold, Dong Zhuo was indeed the one behind the poison that afflicted our clan members. The Verdant Crystal of Truth confirmed it beyond any doubt.”

As she finished speaking, a cold, powerful voice echoed telepathically in her mind, causing her to startle. It was Wang Jian, hiding in the shadows and posing as the Great Deity. ”Qing Fenghua, I sensed your faith in me wavering while you were on the Corrupt Dragon Clanʼs star. You doubted my guidance.”
