Stronger by Paying Salaries and I Have 1 Billion Employees

’President Chen’s imposing aura... how is it getting more and more intense?’

A look of shocked uncertainty flickered in the eyes of Cai Qiming, head of the Design Department. He had met many big bosses, but Chen Yansen was the first entrepreneur to exude such a crushing sense of pressure.

Chen Yansen’s gaze swept over them, taking in all their reactions.

Song Yuncheng was the least affected, as if she felt nothing at all.

”Everyone is here. I have something to announce first. Starting in February, the Investment Attraction Department and the Category Operations Department will merge. Only the Key Account Investment Attraction Department will be retained. From now on, Pinbei’s business structure will align with Ah Li’s, switching to an integrated investment attraction and operations model.”

Chen Yansen said slowly.

As soon as he said this, Zhang Yifeng, Yuan Wei, Li Hui, and the others immediately panicked.

They relied on generous commissions, earning at least a hundred thousand yuan or more each month. If they merged with Category Operations, the commission system would most likely be abolished.

They looked at each other. After a few seconds, Zhang Yifeng was the one to step forward. ”Brother Sen, what will happen to the commission for investment attraction?”

”It’s canceled! There will be no more investment attraction positions. They will be replaced by Merchant Operations Managers. Salaries will be linked to job level. Your incomes will definitely decrease accordingly, but it will also be more stable than before.”

”Of course, I respect your choices. If you’re unwilling, you can also transfer to the Key Account Investment Attraction Department.”

Chen Yansen said with a faint smile.

In his view, Pinbei’s development was already on the right track. Merchants from A-level, B-level, and C-level brands would come to them proactively, without needing investment attraction staff to reach out.

The rest could be handled by merchant customer service and review operations. There was no need to waste manpower on repetitive, tedious work.

After hearing this, Zhang Yifeng fell silent, his mind calculating whether to join the operations department or go to the Key Account Investment Attraction Department.

The former offered a stable income, while the latter relied mainly on commission.

”Brother Sen, I’ll go to the operations department.”

In just a few moments, Zhang Yifeng made his decision and looked up at Chen Yansen to speak.

’He knew that as long as Song Yuncheng was in the Key Account Investment Attraction Department, it would be difficult for him to get promoted.’

’But the new operations department, formed by merging the Investment Attraction and Category Operations Departments, was a different story. Chen Xu only held the title of team lead in the category group, which meant the big boss hadn’t decided on a director for the operations department yet.’

’Staying in the operations department offered much greater potential for future growth.’

Yuan Wei and Li Hui exchanged a troubled glance, unsure of what to choose.

”No rush. Take your time to think about it,” Chen Yansen said casually.

”Okay, thank you, Brother Sen,” they quickly replied.

”How is Three Squirrels’ output in the Hundred Billion Subsidy program?” Chen Yansen changed the subject.

”Three Squirrels has fourteen main products. They entered the Hundred Billion Subsidy channel on January 13th and were listed for a total of eighteen days. However, deliveries were suspended from January 21st to January 28th, so the total selling time was ten days. Total sales were 26.8 million, mainly from New Year gift boxes, which accounted for 40% of the performance.”

Song Yuncheng replied promptly.

”The average daily output per slot in the Hundred Billion Subsidy program is 200,000. So you’re saying Three Squirrels’ products didn’t even reach the average? If it weren’t for special approval, they would have been kicked out of the pool long ago?”

Chen Yansen frowned. It seemed like a rhetorical question, but he already knew the answer.

”Yes,” Song Yuncheng replied.

”Tell Zhang Liaoyuan: either lower the price or optimize the product structure. If Three Squirrels’ average daily output per slot doesn’t reach 300,000 within a month, kick them out.”

Chen Yansen said bluntly.

Even though Senlian Capital held a 40% stake in Three Squirrels, he couldn’t just endlessly funnel traffic to them without any restraint.

If they didn’t meet the requirements, they still had to be taken offline.

Song Yuncheng nodded. She planned to talk to Zhang Liaoyuan and Hu Li, who was in charge of food category operations, and set up an online meeting to see how they could increase the per-slot output.

”By the way, regarding the agricultural product support for Chunshen, I heard a grain and oil factory has completed onboarding. Are any of its products online?”

Chen Yansen continued to ask.

”Currently, a five-jin pack of Shaopei Rice is online, priced at 12.9 yuan with free shipping. Yesterday, it sold 73,000 orders, with a sales revenue of 940,000.”

Song Yuncheng rattled off the figures.

During the Spring Festival, when she went to Chunshen, Chen Yansen had specifically mentioned this matter, so she naturally paid more attention to the project’s output data.

”Not bad. I hope to create classic case studies to attract more agricultural product companies to Pinbei. The platform shouldn’t just have navel oranges, lychees, and pineapples from Xiyue, but also kiwis, ’baba’ oranges, and lemons from Sichuan, as well as greenhouse vegetables from Qilu and rice from the Northeast...”

Chen Yansen emphasized again.

”I understand,” Song Yuncheng replied.

”Zihao, new user traffic has declined recently. I know the holiday is part of the reason, but you have to pull the numbers back up in February. Daily new user growth cannot be less than 3 million.”

Chen Yansen instructed.

”Don’t worry, I guarantee I’ll get it done.” Wang Zihao made an ’OK’ sign with his hand.

Although the inbound traffic from WeChat and QQ was dwindling, he wasn’t worried. With powerful user acquisition methods like ”0-Yuan Bargain,” ”Money Printer,” and ”Cash Wheel,” as long as he was willing to increase the investment costs, he could immediately boost new user growth.

In addition, he could also supplement the new user traffic by adjusting the scale of paid media buys.

Next, Xiong Li, the Director of HR, reported on the progress of campus and professional recruitment, estimating that Pinbei’s total number of employees would exceed 1,000 before the end of Q1.

Cai Qiming, the Director of Design, presented the next version of Pinbei’s UI style. He planned to start small-scale group testing this week to select the version with the highest user stickiness and order conversion rate.

The morning meeting didn’t end until nine-thirty.

Zhang Yifeng, Li Hui, and Yuan Wei returned to their desks with heavy hearts and announced the news of the upcoming restructuring to the other investment attraction staff.

That afternoon, the HR department spoke with each of the investment attraction staff individually and presented them with new employment contracts.

By signing, their original base salary of 6,000 yuan would increase to over 20,000. For an investment attraction team lead like Zhang Yifeng, the base salary was even higher, at over 50,000.

At Ah Li, that would be equivalent to a P8 level.

Although this adjustment caused quite a stir, almost all the team leads chose to sign the new contracts. Only Li Hui chose to transfer to the Key Account Investment Attraction Department.

Among the investment attraction staff below the team lead level, three people resigned.

After all, they had originally come for the commission. Now that it was canceled, they naturally no longer wanted to stay at Pinbei.

However, for most of the investment attraction staff, this merger and adjustment was a good thing, as their income became more stable.

The company’s future salary adjustment plans would also no longer exclude the investment attraction staff.

Before the end of the workday, Chen Yansen received a work report from Gao Weilin.

Zhang Yiming had founded a new company in Yanjing. When discussing the financing plan, he insisted that Source Code Capital, Today Capital, and Ethereum Capital all be included.

”Boss, should we still invest in Byte?”

Gao Weilin asked softly after he finished speaking.
