Stronger by Paying Salaries and I Have 1 Billion Employees

”It’s pretty good. The pay is at least double what I made at Jingdong,” Ye Qiuping replied with a smile, as if she had forgotten that Chen Yansen still had something on her.

’This woman is exactly the same as in my past life. She still values money above all else.’

Chen Yansen sneered inwardly and said no more.

”Boss, I don’t think rejecting Xu Zhenhui today was a wise choice.”

Ye Qiuping was silent for a moment before suddenly speaking up.

”When you deal with people like him, if you give an inch, they’ll take a mile. If you’re too agreeable, you’ll lose your bottom line.”

Chen Yansen said flatly.

These were the very words Ye Qiuping had once told him. Now, Chen Yansen was throwing them right back at her.

With his current wealth and status, whether or not he gave Xu Zhenhui face wouldn’t have much of an impact on the company’s development.

Ye Qiuping nodded slightly, her delicate brows furrowed as she mulled over the meaning behind Chen Yansen’s words.

「Half an hour later.」

The car stopped on the ground floor of the Zhuxianzhuang Science and Technology Park. Ye Qiuping got out and was about to head back to her workstation when she heard Chen Yansen say, ”Come with me.”

A look of confusion crossed Ye Qiuping’s face, but she didn’t overthink it and obediently followed Chen Yansen back to his fifth-floor office.

After sitting down, Chen Yansen took a file from a cabinet and tossed it in front of Ye Qiuping.

”Boss, what’s this?”

Ye Qiuping knew what it was—her ’background check report’—but she felt no sense of pleasant surprise.

”Take it. Do whatever you want with it.”

Chen Yansen said nonchalantly.

Ye Qiuping had worked hard without complaint at Orange Technology during this time. Considering their relationship in his past life, Chen Yansen never once thought of using this file to threaten her.

Giving it back to her now was meant to put her at ease so she would stay at Orange Technology and work hard to make him money.

”Boss, it’s better if you hold onto it for me,” Ye Qiuping said, shaking her head in refusal.

She was a smart woman. She knew that if Chen Yansen wanted, he could make hundreds of copies of this thing at any time.

”...” Seeing this, Chen Yansen gave a helpless smile.

’Here I am, trying to be the good guy for once, and she doesn’t even appreciate it.’

”Fine. You can go.”

Chen Yansen said impatiently, waving his hand dismissively.

”Boss, actually... if you have any requests... you can just tell me. I’ll do anything.”

Ye Qiuping said in a delicate voice, biting her lip.

’So it really was just a test,’ she thought. Though she usually appeared calm and composed, a wave of fear washed over her every time she remembered that Chen Yansen could knock her from the clouds into the abyss at any moment.

Although she didn’t want to, she gritted her teeth, walked over to Chen Yansen, and postured as if offering herself up to be sampled at will.

’I gave you the file, but you didn’t want it. You just had to fuck me into submission, didn’t you?’

Chen Yansen sneered and crooked a finger at her. ”Let me see your sincerity.”

Ye Qiuping’s heart was pounding. Her mind was a mess, but she still lowered the blinds and locked the door from the inside before walking over with small, mincing steps.

She took off her coat, revealing a turtleneck sweater underneath, and slowly knelt.

With a soft CLICK, the belt buckle came undone.

”Ahhh!”

Chen Yansen let out a long sigh, leaning back in his chair to enjoy the moment.

Frankly, Ye Qiuping’s technique was so clumsy that Chen Yansen began to wonder if this person was just someone who happened to look a lot like her.

A dozen or so minutes later, Chen Yansen turned the tables, motioning for Ye Qiuping to lean over the desk.

”It hurts... be gentle,” Ye Qiuping murmured.

She was afraid someone might hear the commotion inside, so she kept her lips pressed tightly together the whole time, refusing to make a sound.

Chen Yansen sighed softly. ’I’ve gone down the same old path after all.’

The only difference was that this time, he was the one in control.

The winter night arrived especially early. It wasn’t until the last rays of twilight faded that Chen Yansen released Ye Qiuping’s slender waist.

To be fair, her figure and looks were both top-notch.

Chen Yansen was quite satisfied. He sat sideways in his chair, watching as Ye Qiuping straightened her clothes and then meticulously wiped the wet spots from the desk and floor.

What surprised him slightly was that it was apparently Ye Qiuping’s first time.

When he first met Ye Qiuping, she had been thirty years old and gave off the air of someone who had seen it all. Right now, she was twenty-eight.

’Could two years really make a person so... corrupted?’

Chen Yansen didn’t buy it. He had seen too many tricks from gold diggers trying to fool men. He naturally assumed Ye Qiuping’s performance was just another deceptive act.

”Don’t play these games with me. I’m not some little kid you can fool so easily.”

Chen Yansen slapped one of Ye Qiuping’s buttocks, warning her with a smile.

Ye Qiuping froze, quickly understanding Chen Yansen’s meaning. She was both ashamed and furious. ”I’m not pretending, and I’m not acting,” she said angrily.

”Mhm, I believe you! Actually, it’s my first time too, haha.”

Chen Yansen managed to say it with a straight face at first, but he immediately burst out laughing.

Ye Qiuping stood frozen, her eyes misting over.

”I told you, I don’t fall for that act. If you try to pull this stunt on me again, the consequences will be severe. Understand?”

Chen Yansen remained unmoved, the corner of his mouth twitching into a mocking smile.

”Understood, Boss,” Ye Qiuping managed a faint smile, wiping the tears from the corner of her eye. Her heart felt as if it had been plunged into an ice cellar.

”Are you sure you don’t want this file? If I lose it while it’s with me, I won’t be responsible.”

Chen Yansen rapped his knuckles on the desk, reminding her again.

”You really don’t plan on using it to threaten me?” Ye Qiuping didn’t believe him at all, but since Chen Yansen had said it again, she couldn’t help but ask.

”What value do you have that’s worth me threatening you over? Sure, your work ethic is impressive, but I’m already paying you a seven-figure annual salary plus a handsome amount of stock options. As for your looks and figure... you’re already twenty-eight. I’m clearly the one getting the short end of the stick here.”

Chen Yansen’s words were brutally blunt, striking right where it hurt.

Ye Qiuping stared intently at Chen Yansen. She felt he wasn’t wrong, and his tone and expression didn’t seem like he was lying.

’So, I misunderstood him?’

Ye Qiuping’s scalp tingled. The last time Chen Yansen rejected her, she had thought her ”skills” weren’t up to par, so she had specifically found over a dozen ”educational films” to cram with.

Now that she had already done it, Chen Yansen comes out with, ”I didn’t want you to do anything.”

’This man is such a dog!’

’Besides, is twenty-eight that old?’

Ye Qiuping picked up the file from the desk, desperately wanting to throw it in Chen Yansen’s face, but she didn’t dare.

In the end, all she could do was limp out of the office, cursing inwardly, ’I told you to be gentle, but you had to use all your strength... It really was my first time.’

Chen Yansen paid Ye Qiuping no mind. He casually pulled open the blinds and opened the window to let the smell in the room dissipate as quickly as possible.

「Meanwhile.」

A buyer all the way in Hu City had, to his surprise, already received an engineering model of the Orange C2.

”Hey, little bro, let me ask you something. Is your Cloud Speed Express always this fast? Even faster than Shunfeng?”

The buyer stopped the young courier, asking him curiously.

Only six hours had passed from the time he placed his order and paid to the moment he received it.

”Cloud Speed Express and Orange Mobile Phone have the same boss. These phones were sent to the Hu City warehouse last week. The fastest delivery was to a buyer who got their order just one hour after placing it.”

The young courier replied with a smile.

In the past, he would have just called from the entrance of the residential complex and told the customer to come down and get it themselves.

But he wouldn’t dare treat a customer like that now. His salary had gone up, but so had the requirements. One complaint cost 100 yuan, and three complaints would get him fired on the spot.

The buyer nodded, turned to go back inside, and prepared to try out his new phone.

And just like that, Cloud Speed Express’s first attempt at flash delivery had gone live, quietly and without any warning.
