CEO's Reborn Wife

He usually stays at the base, Jane Sampson sleeps in the master bedroom with the child, and the nanny can sleep in the guest room, there are still enough rooms over there temporarily.

”That’s right, it’s indeed better to leave it empty for a year or two after the renovation, so just do as you said, don’t change anything on your end.”

Old Master Black nodded in agreement, and started planning to buy a new house near the old mansion for Jane Sampson and James Black, so it would be more convenient for him to visit his little great-grandson in the future.

The two stayed at Black Residence for approximately one hour before leaving and returning to the base. Just half an hour after they returned, Bright Sampton and his appointed lawyer arrived, and it was James Black who personally went to the doorway to bring the person in.

Bright Sampton looked like he hadn’t rested well since last night, his whole demeanor appeared a bit tired and haggard.

”Sister~” Bright Sampton called out hoarsely upon seeing Jane Sampson, ”I’m sorry for making you worry.”

”Why say sorry?” Jane Sampson waved her hand to let Bright Sampton sit, then went to pour water for the guest.

When Jane Sampson entered the kitchen, James Black asked the lawyer, ”In Mr. Sampton’s condition, from your professional point of view, approximately how long do you think he will be sentenced?”

”Currently, it could be three to ten years, and the specifics will depend on whether the police collect further evidence that might be unfavorable to Mr. Sampton, and his subsequent attitude. If there is additional evidence such as testimonies from others in the gang, or increases in the amounts scammed from victims, there’s a possibility of more than ten years.”

Since people were just arrested yesterday, more older people keep getting caught, and the whole gang gradually falls into the net, many haven’t been interrogated yet, and it’s possible that there are victims who haven’t reported the crime. So, these matters are still quite uncertain.

Because for now, the police do not have timely access to account books or similar information about the specific amounts involved.

The people apprehended are eager to minimize their prison time, naturally, the police squeeze a bit, they say a bit, knowing they are bound for prison, nobody fully cooperates.

”Bright Sampton’s idea is to send Mr. Sampton to the Psychiatry Evaluation Center, though Mr. Sampton will likely have to spend time in a sanatorium in the future, it’s better than being in prison, and there is a chance for recovery in the sanatorium.”

After saying this, the lawyer fell silent.

With Father Sampton’s current mental state being sent for psychiatric evaluation, it’s hard to say, but perhaps he wouldn’t need to do anything and would receive a diagnosis of mental illness. The lawyer saw Father Sampton both last night and in the morning, and even though he’s experienced, he thought Father Sampton seemed really crazy.

However, these words were not said by the lawyer since he knows these are mere guesses, after all, he’s not an expert in this field, only casually speculating.

To ensure safety, Bright Sampton definitely needs to be involved in some matters in between.

Thus, these risks have to be borne by Bright Sampton alone.

And the greatest source of these risks still lies with Father Sampton, he is a significant unstable factor.

”Sister, no matter how much I hate him, I can’t just watch him go to prison.” Bright Sampton said.

”I don’t agree.” Jane Sampson directly expressed her stance, ”I don’t agree with you doing anything, if you insist on sending him for a psychiatric evaluation, fine, but I have one condition, you must accept whatever result the evaluation yields, without any alterations.”
