CEO's Reborn Wife

Inside the kitchen, Bright Sampton suddenly reached out and touched Jane Sampson, ”Sister, have you heard what Oscar Wilson said?”

”Hear what?” Jane Sampson asked confusedly, turning off the water from the faucet, ”What intriguing stories and gossip did Oscar Wilson share with you again?”

”It’s about Jillian Carter.” Bright Sampton guessed that she still didn’t know, judging by Jane Sampson’s expression, ”Oscar Wilson said that Jillian Carter’s mental illness is getting worse. Hasn’t the Carter family mentioned it to you?”

Jane Sampson shook her head, ”They haven’t told me. Perhaps they were considerate of me, they’ve never mentioned Jillian Carter’s name.”

When Jane Sampson was living in the countryside, no one from the Carter family mentioned Jillian Carter’s name, so Jane Sampson truly had no idea what Jillian Carter’s current situation was.

”How has her mental illness worsened?” Jane Sampson couldn’t imagine how Jillian Carter’s condition could further deteriorate, ”By the way, Jillian Carter fell ill, did Joseph Shaw come back?”

”No, Joseph Shaw volunteered to go overseas to join a volunteer team where there’s a war. Even if you want to contact him, you can’t.” Bright Sampton sighed, ”It seems like Joseph Shaw has been carefree since his divorce from Jillian Carter, volunteering to go to such a dangerous place, as if nothing in this world could keep him anymore.”

After talking about Joseph Shaw, Bright Sampton continued to talk about Jillian Carter.

”Oscar Wilson said Jillian Carter’s madness is getting worse. That day, she was walking in the sanatorium small garden holding a doll when an old woman carrying her grandson passed by. Perhaps loose-lipped, the woman called Jillian Carter a madwoman and then suggested that Jillian Carter couldn’t have children and was crazy for holding a fake doll as a child. Unexpectedly, these words provoked Jillian Carter. She pushed the old woman, screamed, threw the doll in her arms to the ground, and stomped on it fiercely.”

”After stomping several times, Jillian Carter suddenly snatched the grandson from the old woman’s arms. She ran away with the child but was stopped by the doctors and nurses. Jillian Carter desperately claimed that was the son she had with Joseph Shaw and that it was the old woman who stole her son.”

”The doctor gave Jillian Carter an injection to calm her down. The little baby cried loudly in fright, and since then, Jillian Carter stopped holding the doll, constantly shouting for her son to be returned to her. The doctor gave her the doll back, but she threw it out the window, saying the doctor was a bad person who stole the child she had with Joseph Shaw.”

”Now whenever Jillian Carter sees a doctor or a nurse, she attacks them, insisting they return her child. She even kneels and begs the doctors and nurses to give her child back, saying if her child is lost, Joseph Shaw will never return, and he will never want her again. She knocks her head against the ground, and her forehead bleeds.”

”When Jillian Carter isn’t focused on wanting a child, she believes she’s you. She’ll wear styles that you’ve worn, then stand there singing, singing non-stop. Whenever she thinks she’s you, she’ll start singing. Sometimes it’ll be midnight, sometimes morning; sometimes she’ll sing all night or all day, telling anyone she sees, ’Hello, everyone, I’m Jane Sampson, do you want my autograph? I’m very famous, you know.’”

”When Jillian Carter goes mad, she bites people and hits people with stuff. The hospital’s female doctor and nurses don’t dare get close to her anymore.”

After Bright Sampton finished speaking, he ground his teeth, ”Truly, pitiful people always have some repulsive aspects. If only she had known back then, why did she act as she did?”
