CEO's Reborn Wife

She had no idea when James Black carried her back to the bed.

The only thing she knew was that as soon as she opened her eyes, it was already a little past eight in the morning the next day.

Jane Sampson’s first reaction was that she had inexplicably avoided a morning exercise.

This feeling of relief had not yet been fully savored when her head was immediately struck awake by the two words: ”Big trouble.”

It’s over!

Big trouble!

She had dodged all day yesterday and still hadn’t managed to make up with the angry James Black.

Now another day has passed, won’t James be so mad at her that his nose is crooked?

After failing three times to make it up to James Black, Jane Sampson sat there trembling.

Isn’t she in even more trouble now?

Her head really felt like it was splitting in two.

She reached out to touch the spot next to her; it was chilly, just like her mood at that moment. James Black had long since gotten out of bed.

Jane Sampson looked all over the house but didn’t find James Black. Eventually, in the bedroom, she saw a note from him pinned under a paperweight on her side of the bedhead cabinet, telling her that he had gone out to buy groceries.

Jane Sampson thought for a moment and tentatively tried adding James Black as a WhatsApp friend again on her mobile phone.

Then she went to wash up.

She thought that if James wasn’t too angry, he might accept her friend request since she made the first move by adding him.

As long as he wasn’t too angry, she could then try harder to cheer him up.

But then...

When Jane Sampson finished washing and came back, she picked up her mobile phone to check.

System message: The other party refused to add you as a friend.

Jane Sampson: ...

It’s over, it’s over.

James Black was indeed even angrier.

So angry he even rejected the friend request.

Jane Sampson walked around the house with her mobile phone.

Her attempt to avoid things today had failed, and now James Black would be even more furious.

This situation has really escalated and become difficult.

How to make it up?

Even if she tries again tonight, it won’t work to cheer him up~

”Sigh~” Jane Sampson flopped back onto the bed, playing dead.

Jane Sampson was racking her brains, trying to figure out a way to quickly calm James Black down.

Unfortunately, James Black held her peace card, but she didn’t have his peace card.

Just when Jane Sampson’s head was about to explode, suddenly, a thought struck her!

”I’ve got an idea!”

Jane Sampson almost let out a ”yippee” and jumped out of bed, then bounced to the ground and headed straight to James Black’s study.

Jane Sampson found some paper and a pen, determined to fix James Black’s anger!

Ten minutes later, Jane Sampson came out of the study, feeling jubilant, and headed to the bedroom.

——

James Black woke up feeling fresh and alert in the morning.

Seeing Jane Sampson still fast asleep next to him, James Black gently nudged her a couple of times and didn’t manage to wake her.

After washing up, she hadn’t even changed her sleeping position.

Once he was ready, he bent down to kiss Jane Sampson, who was sleeping like a log, on the face, and left the house feeling fresh and with a good mood.

After he finished exercising and came back with Jane Sampson’s breakfast, she was still lying there asleep in the same position.

James Black knew that the drama from last night had worn her out, which is why she was exhausted, so he didn’t wake her up.

After waiting for a while without seeing any signs of her waking up, James Black quietly left with the car key and wallet to buy groceries.

When he received the WhatsApp friend request notification from Jane Sampson, he was waiting for the waiter in the seafood district to prepare the bass. His fingertips hesitated for a moment before he clicked refuse and, with a corner of his mouth slightly curled, put his mobile phone back in his pocket.
