CEO's Reborn Wife

Brooke Black said, ”Even though you’re someone from the Black Family, you still dare to pull stunts behind our backs. Do you think we, the Black Clan, are doing charity work?”

”Family doesn’t say thank you.” Brooke Black smiled, ”I called you to tell you something else, Jillian Carter’s four chief designers resigned from West Crossing Corp and have all submitted their resumes to us at JSY. I’ve reviewed the resumes of these designers and instructed HR to hire all four of them directly, skipping the interview process altogether.”

This was the matter Brooke Black wanted to discuss with Jane Sampson in the call, ”Even if these four people end up doing nothing, the Black Clan happily paying to have these four people sit around for half a year makes me pleased. If possible, I hope the remaining chief designers at West Crossing will join us too.”

”Losing four chief designers at once is quite a blow to West Crossing, especially when they’re poised to launch a new product. Jillian Carter must be fuming.” Jane Sampson thought mischievously, ”If she’s angry, it makes me especially happy.”

”It will inevitably delay her product launch timeline, considering her company was founded not long ago, losing four key members from the design department at once. Several design assistants also resigned with them, so she needs to find designers to fill the gap quickly. Otherwise, her design department will be left bare.”

Brooke Black said, ”When West Crossing Corp was first established, these employees’ photos show Joseph Shaw was a great help to her. The four young designers who switched over all have study abroad experience, performed well during their time overseas, and have received various awards. It’s hard to find suitable replacements domestically in a short time.”

”I know, especially while JSY is still hiring externally, it’s even harder for Jillian Carter to find people. Any slightly talented designer with some background knows about JSY, as it has the backing of the Black Clan and belongs to Jane Sampson. Everyone knows the path for JSY’s brand is much smoother than West Crossing’s.”

This was something Jane Sampson could see crystal clear.

”Exactly, as you anticipated.” Brooke Black’s tone betrayed her pride, ”Now I’ve told you everything I wanted to say, I’ll hang up. I bet James Black is next to you, watching as I’ve been speaking to you for so long, he might be thinking of tearing me, his wife’s little auntie, apart.”

Jane Sampson glanced at James Black beside her, quickly denying, ”Nothing of the sort.”

Although Jane Sampson denied it quickly, Brooke Black didn’t believe it.

It was only 10:30 in the evening, and Jane Sampson was hauled back to the room to rest by James Black.

Old-fashioned lifestyle dictates to rest by 10:30 at night.

Jane Sampson realized getting angry was futile, causing a scene was futile, and glaring at him was even more futile.

The mobile phone was taken by him and placed on his side for charging, while he held her tight, ”Get up at 5:30 tomorrow morning for exercise. If you keep fussing, lack of sleep will have you crying tomorrow morning.”

”I feel like crying right now.” Being used to sleeping after twelve o’clock, at this time, she was especially energetic.

But thinking about tomorrow’s morning exercise, Jane Sampson still closed her eyes to cultivate sleepiness.

James Black’s biological alarm clock didn’t need the actual alarm in the morning.

He opened his eyes precisely at 5:35 and then rudely pulled Jane Sampson, sleeping soundly with a flushed face, from his arms.
