CEO's Reborn Wife

Father Chip glanced and spat in frustration, ”Son, don’t worry, I’ll go borrow money from my friend right now! Eighteen thousand, right? I’ll go borrow 20,000 bucks!”

After saying that, Father Chip staggered out the door, drunk.

Not long after Father Chip left the home doorway, Brooke Black, who was at the Black Residence talking with Old Master Black, received a call from her secretary.

Brooke Black picked up the mobile phone, and upon hearing it was regarding the Chip Family, she took the mobile phone upstairs, and only after closing the door did she speak with her secretary.

”He wants to borrow money to buy a flight ticket, and wants to buy a first class cabin ticket to go ask Jillian Carter for money? And he wants 100 million, plus expects Jillian Carter to give him the large villa in the Capital Province?”

Brooke Black almost burst out laughing, ”The Chip Family, as a whole, don’t have much other skills, but their imagination is certainly abundant.”

”President Black, so should we lend the money or not?” The secretary was slightly unsure about Brooke Black’s intentions.

”Lend it, why not lend it? Go all the way when doing good deeds.” Brooke Black leaned on the balcony, her laugh cunning, ”As long as there’s a way to cause trouble for Jillian Carter, I’m more than happy to do it.”

Brooke Black said, ”But we’re not close with him, there’s no reason to lend money to a stranger. Those alcoholic friends of his, how could they have money to lend him to sit in a first class cabin on a plane? These alcoholics, with no money, how do they borrow money, you know what I mean?”

Brooke Black’s secretary, who had been with her for over 20 years, immediately understood Brooke Black’s meaning.

”Okay, President Black, I know what to do.” The secretary grinned mischievously, ”He wants 20,000, I think, how could 20,000 be enough, it’s got to be at least 40 or 50 thousand.”

”Smart.” Brooke Black praised the secretary, and after hanging up the call, she couldn’t wait to make a call to Jane Sampson.

This was such a funny and eagerly anticipated event that Brooke Black felt she had to share it with Jane Sampson.

While Brooke Black was on the phone with Jane Sampson, Father Chip, guided by the booze-soaked advice of a friend who inadvertently told him that Jillian Carter was his biological daughter, went to see some other so-called road friends of that friend.

Dazed, he wrote an IOU, and dazedly signed it, and then, with 50,000 bucks clutched in his arms, he returned home.

Mother Chip and their son had been waiting in the house, quite anxious from waiting.

Mother Chip was well aware that she and her husband didn’t have wealthy friends or relatives, borrowing 20,000 bucks seemed unlikely to her.

So, Mother Chip began discussing with their son, ”Isn’t there a cheaper flight ticket? Why don’t we take the train instead? This first class cabin is really too expensive.”

I didn’t expect the chubby boy to look so displeased.

”Mom, that’s short-sighted of you, no wonder you and my dad have been poor your whole lifetime!” The chubby boy sneered, ”Rich people have to have the demeanor of rich people. You go out and squeeze in a train with those poor people, don’t you feel you lose face? Who are we? We’re about to have 100 million in cash and a huge luxury house! I won’t lose face for that!”

Just as he was speaking, Father Chip’s shaky steps opened the door and came back in.

”Dad, how’d it go, did you borrow the money?” The chubby boy immediately spotted the black plastic bag in Father Chip’s arms and walked straight over, grabbing the black plastic bag out of Father Chip’s arms.

With a swift and forceful action, he tore open the plastic bag, and upon seeing the five stacks of red banknotes inside, the chubby boy was overjoyed, ”Mom, look, my dad’s got skills! My dad borrowed 50,000! 50,000!”
