CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 644: Chapter 652: Why Say Sorry

”Sister Mandy Forest, Mr. Carter and I are friends, or rather, Mr. Carter is like a mentor to me,” Jane Sampson explained clearly.

But Mandy Forest stared at the mark on her neck, now covered by concealer, shook her head, and let out a self-deprecating laugh, ”Why lie to me? I know everything; why do you have to deceive me? Just give me a straight answer, why would I persistently bother you?”

After speaking, Mandy Forest raised her hand to wipe away tears and then turned to sit back in the spot she had just occupied.

Jane Sampson watched her sit there quietly, not speaking, just with swollen red eyes. Several minutes passed when Mandy Forest suddenly took out her mobile phone.

Jane Sampson could see Mandy Forest’s actions on the mobile phone from the side mirror.

She opened her contacts, then tapped on a number without a name and chose ’confirm’ on the prompt asking for confirmation to delete it.

After deleting the number, Jane Sampson looked at the person opposite her and couldn’t help feeling that Mandy Forest seemed to suddenly lose her soul.

Lotus entered with the other two makeup artists; after coming in, she found a corner to sit in, quite a distance from both Jane Sampson and Mandy Forest.

Although they were three girls from the same insider circle, during those two hours of makeup application, not a single word was exchanged among them.

Jane Sampson’s makeup was relatively simple, so she was the first to be done and then went with Coco Edwards to the photography studio, following the makeup artist.

The photographer from JK Company was a rare young female photographer in the industry. Seeing Jane Sampson, she complimented her, then explained the content and feel of the shoot. Seeing that Jane Sampson understood immediately, she felt more motivated to explain.

Although Jane Sampson was not a professional, her natural camera presence made her adept at photoshoots, and she was no worse compared to professional models.

The three artists’ lunch was taken care of by JK Company. Jane Sampson, worried about ruining her makeup, only ordered some fruits. Busy until the sunset, she didn’t return to the dressing room to remove her makeup until then.

”The makeup removal products are all here. After you’re done, you can freely use the cosmetics on the table. I need to go help out Lotus over there, so I won’t wait for you guys here; I’m going to lend a hand over there first,” the makeup artist said, speaking hurriedly due to being busy.

”No problem, you go ahead with your work; I’ll leave by myself after removing my makeup,” Jane Sampson waved at the makeup artist, ”You worked hard today.”

Jane Sampson had several makeup changes, all attended to by this makeup artist throughout.

With such a polite farewell from Jane Sampson, the makeup artist directly smiled, nodded her head, and left. Coco Edwards went to get Jane Sampson’s original clothes. With Coco Edwards out, only Mandy Forest, already removing her makeup, and Jane Sampson, who had just entered, were left in the dressing room for a while.

The dressing room at JK not only had dressing tables but also had faucets that could be used for makeup removal and washing hands, etc. A neat row of taps, and Jane Sampson picked one a bit further from Mandy Forest. She took off her false eyelashes and double eyelid stickers, and then applied some makeup remover to her face.

Mandy Forest glanced sideways at Jane Sampson, her face showing all the signs of fatigue after having completely removed her makeup.

”Jane Sampson.”

Mandy Forest suddenly approached Jane Sampson and spoke, ”I’m sorry.”

”Huh?” Jane Sampson was taken aback by Mandy Forest’s sudden apology, ”Sister Mandy Forest, why are you saying sorry out of the blue?”
