CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 603: Chapter 611: Accept Pressure but not Kindness

I also don’t know if those little rabbit kids will get indigestion after eating the red berry jam he made himself.

James Black turned on the faucet to wash his hands and, observing Jane Sampson watching him intently, he chuckled. It hadn’t reached the point of no return yet; at least she still knew to worry about whether he would be happy or not.

”You go take a bath now,” Jane said, glancing at James and feeling relieved since she didn’t see any sign of anger from him.

She also secretly rejoiced in her heart, so James’s temper threshold was that low, eh? She had bossed him around to this extent and he still hadn’t given her a dirty look.

Seeing James looking her way, Jane reached into his pocket and fished out his mobile phone, grinning cheekily, ”I’ll play with your mobile phone for a bit, play a couple of games.”

James looked at Jane holding his phone and really couldn’t help but feel amused.

She’s gotten bolder, daring to take his mobile phone out of his pocket already.

But since she showed no intention of going back to the dormitory, James didn’t make a fuss and, with a hum, he put his arm around her shoulders and they headed back to the bedroom.

As soon as James entered the bathroom, Jane, who had been playing with the mobile phone in the bed, quickly tossed it back onto the bed.

After a moment of thought, she scribbled a sentence on a piece of paper, then ran out of the bedroom barefoot, grabbing a whole bag of snacks from the TV cabinet, along with a half-finished bottle of yogurt and the remaining red berries, making a clean and abundant getaway.

Fearing James would discover her, Jane shut the door as gently as she could, and once outside, she bolted with a slipperiness of oiled lightning. James took his bath and even shaved before coming out of the bathroom.

Upon opening the door and finding no one on the bed, James stood there dumbfounded for a moment.

”Jane Sampson,” he called out while standing in the bedroom, thinking Jane had gone to the living room to eat snacks. Noticing her slippers still beside the bed, James’s tone chilled as he called out toward the living room, ”Jane Sampson, you’re not wearing your slippers again!”

While chiding her, James still bent down to pick up Jane’s slippers and brought them to the living room.

Once in the living room, he felt a sudden jump in his temple at the sight of the empty space.

No one in the living room, and the kitchen didn’t seem to have anyone in it either with just a glance.

The whole bag of snacks that had been on the TV cabinet had disappeared without a trace, and her half-bottle of yogurt, which was originally on the tea table, had also vanished.

James walked to the doorway, looked down, and let out a chuckle—her shoes were gone too.

Well played, grabbing the stuff and making a run for it.

So, all the bold ordering around in the kitchen overnight wasn’t because she was pretending to have a bad back or acting up, but to keep him from having time to take a bath earlier.

Jane Sampson had obviously premeditated this, planning to make her escape while he was in the bath.

No wonder she was so bold tonight, daring to reach into his pocket to play with his mobile phone without a single word about returning to her own dormitory, instead pretending to be so engrossed in the game that she couldn’t tear herself away from the bed.

Probably the moment he entered the bathroom, she started to grab stuff and run!

Alright, very nice.

So, the word ’coax’ is indeed unsuitable for Jane Sampson.

This woman, this natural troublemaker, should be grabbed directly, and if she dares to ignore him, he should keep fixing her until she begs for mercy.

Jane Sampson, the type who wouldn’t respond to soft, only hard!

Naturally a mess that needs cleaning up!

Back in the dormitory, Jane, who was happily sharing snacks with everyone, suddenly sneezed twice out of the blue.

”One sneeze for thoughts, two for curses, someone’s cursing you,” Mair Williams said as she clutched the bag of broad beans and wouldn’t let go, ”I don’t want anything else, just this one!”
