Reborn as a Weak Beauty Pampered by All

Chapter 899: Chapter 899: My Mom Said You Must Have the Right Attitude in Life and Work

Kang Li suppressed a chuckle in his eyes and asked, “Do you know what ‘bamboo shoots stir-fried with meat’ means?”

Ming Wei shook her head.

Ming Rui and Ming Han nodded, but Ming Han spoke with a pained expression, “Mom, haven’t you always made us reflect facing the wall? Why add ‘bamboo shoots stir-fried with meat’ now?”

“The reason is simple. If you don’t learn after repeated teachings, I have to increase the punishment!”

Kang Li said with a straight face.

Ming Wei tugged at her brother Ming Han’s shirt and whispered, “Second brother, isn’t ‘bamboo shoots stir-fried with meat’ just a dish? Why does mom say it’s a punishment for us?”

“Silly! The ‘bamboo shoots stir-fried with meat’ mom talks about isn’t the dish but using bamboo strips to hit us here,”

pointing at his own little bottom, Ming Han shrank his neck in fear and said, “Whenever Big Fatty from our class doesn’t do his homework or fights with the kids in their compound, his dad gives him a serving of ‘bamboo shoots stir-fried with meat’.”

Ming Rui realized, “No wonder I see him standing in class once every week. That’s why!”

Ming Han: “You’re a girl, so don’t go around telling this in class. It’ll embarrass Big Fatty, and the other boys will make fun of you, saying you’re blushing.”

Ming Wei: “I promise I won’t say anything.”

“What are you two whispering about?”

In fact, Kang Li heard them, but she asked on purpose.

The twins immediately stood straight, shaking their heads in unison, and Ming Han said, “Mom, you saw it wrong, I wasn’t talking to my sister.”

Kang Li didn’t expose the little fellow’s lie, nor did she seem to notice Ming Wei’s guilty look. She said, “When writing your reflection essays, no discussing allowed. If they are more than half similar, you’ll have to redo them.”

Ming Rui replied: “Got it.”

“Turn it in before dinner.”

Leaving this, Kang Li held back her laughter as she left the living room.

“Is this how Aunt always dealt with Ruirui and them when they made mistakes?”

After Kang Li left, Kang Yiyang smiled and asked his grandma.

Cai Xiufen nodded, “But Ruirui and the others are very well-behaved, rarely making mistakes.”

“Then today is quite a coincidence, just happened to see it myself.”

Kang Yiyang said with a smile, his gaze shifting to Ming Rui and the others, “Need help from your big cousin?”

Ming Rui shook his head: “No need.” He turned and walked towards the room.

Ming Han also shook his head: “Thank you, big cousin. My mom told us when we were young, if you make a mistake, you should correct it promptly, and do your own things yourself, without asking others to do them for you.”

Following his brother Ming Rui, he left the living room.

Ming Wei blinked her big grape-like eyes, “My mom said, whether as a person or in doing things, you must have a proper attitude.”

With that, Ming Wei went back to her own room.

Kang Yiyang was stunned for a moment and then turned his attention back to his grandma, “Grandma, why do I feel like I’m not even as good as Ruirui and the others?”

“Good that you know.”

Cai Xiufen, with a knitted slipper in hand, glanced at her eldest grandson, and then said, “Your little aunt never beats or scolds the children. She always reasons with Ruirui and them. If they recognize their mistakes, they’re punished by facing the wall for half an hour.”

“My little aunt really knows how to teach kids. Grandma, I think you and grandpa raised Dad and Uncle differently from my little aunt,

otherwise, why do we get hit on the back of the head or kicked when we make mistakes? It’s so different from my little aunt’s gentle approach like a soft breeze.”

Kang Yiyang put on a bitter face, “I got kicked by Dad a lot when I was a kid.”
