Reborn as a Weak Beauty Pampered by All

Chapter 855: Chapter 855: You’re Really Good at This!

Ming Wei was obviously tattling.

“My classmate said that the crying child gets the candy. I just want Mommy to kiss me. What’s wrong with that? Hmph!” Bun Ming Han crossed his arms, lifted his chin, and showed his “I’m right” face to his sister Ming Wei, acting all smug.

Ming Wei pouted, her eyes shimmering with tears: “Mom, second brother is bullying me!” Learned it on the spot, naughty brother, don’t think you’re the only one who knows how to act pitiful!

Kang Li could clearly see the twins engaging in a battle of wits. She found it amusing and bent down to give the little girl’s face a gentle kiss. Looking at the twins, she laughed and said, “If you want Mommy to kiss you, you can just say it outright. No need to act soft or pitiful!”

The saying that the crying child gets the candy while the sensible child gets no affection actually holds some truth.

Because crying children easily attract adult attention, while sensible children often understand and empathize with their parents’ hardships, they unintentionally get overlooked by their parents.

In their family, compared to the twins who were good at acting coy, the eldest son was less talkative and more attentive, clearly more reserved in personality. To prevent the little guy from feeling neglected and to protect the boy’s pride, Kang Li didn’t kiss Min Rui, in case he got shy.

She casually ruffled the hair of her eldest son, but just that was enough to make the young boy blush and feel a bit embarrassed.

“Mom, me too!”

Bun Ming Han eagerly pushed his head under his mom’s hand.

“Me too, me too, Mom, I also want you to pat my head!”

Ming Wei refused to be left behind.

Kang Li felt helpless, but eventually granted their wishes. She ruffled their hair and raised an eyebrow asking, “All good now?”

“Yes! I love Mommy the most!”

Bun Ming Han replied loudly, simultaneously making a heart gesture towards Kang Li.

“You’re full of tricks!”

Kang Li watched the little guy send two heart gestures her way, her eyes almost overflowing with amusement.

“I learned it from Mommy!”

Bun Ming Han lifted his chin, full of pride.

“Alright, time to eat.”

Kang Li said as she walked into the living room with Min Rui.

Bun Ming Han was tugged back by his sister Ming Wei.

“You’re really something!”

Glaring directly into Ming Han’s eyes, Ming Wei was not convinced: “Next time, I’ll definitely beat you!” She just forgot the “heart gesture” this time; admitting defeat wasn’t a big deal.

Bun Ming Han raised his eyebrows: “Talk to me when you finally beat me.”

Turning around, he deliberately started walking with a swagger he must have picked up from somewhere, looking ridiculously funny.

Ming Wei widened her eyes: “Second brother, is that what you call walking?”

“If it’s not walking, do you think I’m crawling on the ground?”

He glanced back at his sister but noticed Grandma coming out of the kitchen looking at him, and in an instant, Bun Ming Han was so startled that he went back to walking normally.

Cai Xiufen laughed: “Grandma saw everything. You can’t walk like that again; it looks silly. If your dad or mom sees, they might just smack you.”

“Mom and Dad will give second brother a mixed-gender doubles match.”

Ming Wei added with a mischievous smile.

Cai Xiufen: “Where did you learn to say that?”

Faced with Grandma’s gaze, Ming Wei immediately wilted like a frosted eggplant, softly replying: “I heard it from the boys in class.”

“Some things shouldn’t be imitated.”

Cai Xiufen said as she called the two to catch up, casually adding, “If you dawdle any longer, the stew and buns will get cold.”

“Mom, you sit here.”

Seeing her mother come in, Kang Li shifted to a small stool next to the seat, giving up her chair with the backrest for her mother, while Cai Xiufen placed the bowls on the table and lightly patted her forehead, saying:
