She Lives without Regret in This Life

Chapter 1224: Chapter 1294: The Stench of Decay

Shen Yu had just rushed out from the back, facing away from the direction of the city. Sinong wanted to enter the city, and leaving through the front was a small path; following the winding mountain road would be faster to enter the city.

Coming out of the house, the two guarded either side of the main door, ”You go out first.” Sinong instructed.

”Why don’t you go and let me go?” The other party replied unhappily.

”Hurry up!” Sinong impatiently urged, ”The Captain said, you follow my orders.

”Hmph!” The man stood up angrily, as he pushed the door open, a bullet whizzed through the air, piercing directly through his forehead. He fell straight down without even making a sound.

Originally, Sinong was hiding behind the door, very alert. The moment the door opened, she darted quickly like a monkey into the low kitchen.

This kitchen had been abandoned since the Captain came, with a rural earth stove and a chimney. Sinong quickly crawled into the chimney, carefully hiding.

She already knew about Living Yama searching the courtyard; this person was terrifying, not hiding well would certainly lead to being found.

The low earth house was kicked open by Xu Qigang, Qin Yue and Chen Yingjie guarded left and right, the three quickly advanced towards the big house over the corpse.

”The people have left.” Xu Qigang tested the temperature of the burnt fire pit on the ground, frowning as he looked towards the wide-open back door.

He still didn’t dare to freely pursue, Xiao Ning was in their hands, every move of his would provoke Shen Yu. So he had to stay calm, calm.

”Damn it.” Qin Yue fiercely kicked the wooden cabinet, the cabinet door was kicked open, black stuff inside poured out, straight towards him.

Qin Yue agilely dodged, Chen Yingjie held his gun on alert.

”It’s a corpse.” Xu Qigang said.

It was indeed a bag specifically for corpses, commonly seen during battlefield cleanup. Opening the bag revealed three already decaying corpses, the pungent smell of rotting assaulting the skies.

A man, a woman, and a child.

Evidently, Li Xia had killed them outright when she took over this place. This household lived on the village outskirts, reclusive, no wonder they were targeted by Li Xia.

”Damn it, I swear I’ll tear that bitch into a thousand pieces.” Qin Yue said, bloodshot eyes.

”Keep pursuing, I can smell Shen Yu.”

”The long-term smell of decay in prison.” Chen Yingjie added.

There would naturally be follow-up personnel to handle this; out of the back door is the village, once Shen Yu blends in, it’ll be more troublesome.

The sky turned slightly pale with the first hint of dawn, the small village in the first rays of sunlight looked extremely tranquil and peaceful. Little did they know, beneath the serenity, a bloody massacre had already begun.

With the first gunshot, Shen Yu crazily rushed into a household, firing his gun wildly. Watching the people who just got out of bed, unaware of the situation, fall into pools of blood, the double vision before his eyes finally improved considerably.

Even his head didn’t ache as much as before.

”Hahaha...” Shen Yu laughed maniacally, as if he’d found some immense joy. To be precise, he had found joy—a kind that could alleviate his headache, dizziness, and double vision.

”Hahaha...” He rushed out of the house, holding his gun, charging towards the next house.

”Director, Director...” Jia Meng followed behind, shouting desperately: ”Director, you can’t do this.” He was willing to follow Shen Yu devotedly because his life was saved by him.

Even if he had to die for Shen Yu, he was willing.

But he was unwilling to watch Shen Yu go on a killing spree, slaughtering the innocent.
