She Lives without Regret in This Life

Chapter 1198: Chapter 1265: Rescuing Shen Yu

”But if Su Yun runs out like this, it will definitely ruin our big plans.”

”As soon as we rescue Shen Yu, we’ll immediately chase down Su Yun.” Priorities must be decided; Shen Yu won’t be out for long. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, possibly something he himself has been planning for a long time.

If she misses this, then she has failed. Having lost so much already, with so many lives paid for it, it doesn’t matter whether the bigger picture is taken into account.

Even if Su Yun reports her now, she’s already rescued the person, and everything that needed to be done is done.

Chen Yingjie needed the General Union’s approval to interrogate Shen Yu. Originally, it would have been convenient from the General Union’s prison, but he was transferred to an ordinary prison.

By the time Chen Yingjie got the approval and hurried to the ordinary prison, Shen Yu had just left for the suburban cemetery.

”Dammit, who let him out?” Chen Yingjie had just rounded up some hired soldiers last night. His hands were stained with blood, and his whole demeanor was intimidating. He hadn’t slept all night, and the gun he carried was loaded at all times.

When he found the prison warden with the approval paper, he was so angry that he directly pulled out his gun and aimed it at the warden’s forehead.

”Who gave you the right to let such an important criminal out just like that?”

”It’s... it’s just for a visit, he’ll... he’ll be back in half a day, we... we sent prison guards to accompany him!”

”What the hell do you know? He’s a major criminal! Do you think he’s like the small-time crooks you’re holding here?”

The warden initially didn’t want to reveal the real reason, but with a gun to his forehead and the scent of blood in the air, he was terrified and said, ”It was... it was Director Shen.”

”Shen Yu’s father?”

”Yes, yes... that’s right.”

”Damn it!” Chen Yingjie grabbed the warden by the collar, pulling him from behind the desk and throwing him outside the door. He picked up the phone on the desk and reported to the Provincial Rescue Center.

”Hello, this is Chen Yingjie.”

”Hello, Captain Chen, please report.”

”Shen Yu has just left the prison. I request immediate arrest of Shen Yu as he is now very dangerous.”

”Hello, Captain Chen, Shen Yu’s outing was approved, so unless he exceeds the time, we have no authority to arrest him.” Father Shen has always acted by the book. Since he agreed to let Shen Yu visit Dong Shuhua’s grave, it’s impossible he would let him out without permission.

He would naturally have informed the higher-ups. He personally notified them, it’s just a visit to pay respects to his deceased mother, so he surely got approval.

”Damn it!” Chen Yingjie furiously hung up the phone, rushed outside, and drove off in the car he came in. Shen Yu chose this very moment, just when the Captain was about to interrogate him, to go pay respects. How could there be such a coincidence?

If there isn’t something fishy going on here, he’d eat his hat.

He hoped he could make it in time and that nothing would go wrong.

If Shen Yu is let out, the repercussions could be worse than Li Xia.

At the same time, the courtyard was surrounded tightly. Xu Qigang held a bun in one hand and looked up at the roof. Ten police dogs had been brought in and were sniffing around.

”How’s it going?” Shen Feihu, holding a bowl of soy milk in his left hand and a fried dough stick in his right, asked while eating.

Xu Qigang shook his head and finished the last bite of his bun.

”If we really can’t find him, let’s just withdraw!” Shen Feihu mused that after searching for so long, even the police dogs couldn’t find anything, meaning it’s over.

”No way!” Xu Qigang firmly objected.
