She Lives without Regret in This Life

Chapter 491: Chapter 504: Five Hundred Push-ups

”You still haven’t scrammed? Are you all so fucking bored?” Hai Shen cursed with a cold face, scaring a bunch of sly old dogs who immediately disappeared without a trace.

Hai Shen felt like he had lost all face and wanted to drag Shen Jianguo away. However, that guy stood there like an idiot, unmoving, his eyes nearly glued onto Sheng Ning.

”Let’s go!” The Living Yama was at the Research Institute, and he was also the instructor in charge of the training mission team. If he found out, there definitely wouldn’t be any good consequences.

Shen Jianguo pursed his lips and slightly lowered his eyes. Only after concealing the sadness at the bottom of his eyes did he follow Hai Shen and leave.

Sheng Ning wanted to chase after them but was paralyzed at the thought of the Living Yama.

*******

After leaving the parade ground, Hai Shen said while walking, ”You better hurry back! The Living Yama is at the simulation training field, and you’re definitely going to get punished now.”

This was the time for training, and there were only two days left in the intensive training. The Living Yama’s training was getting more and more insane, and many people could no longer endure it and had requested to drop out.

The original team of one hundred thirty-nine members had been brutally trained down to half.

”Got it!” Shen Jianguo nodded, quickly walking towards the simulation training field.

The simulation training ground had been specially built by Xu Qigang after he arrived, taking into account the geographic conditions of Country S.

At that moment, within the training field, Xu Qigang stood with his hands behind his back, actually wearing a sleeveless vest in the depths of winter. His robust figure and honey-colored skin were completely exposed.

In contrast, the fifty-some people facing him were dressed the same, but unlike Xu Qigang who didn’t bat an eyelid, they were all shivering from the cold.

Today’s training was a bit odd; there was no actual training, not even the usual weight-bearing. Just wearing vests, they had to do prone lying and stalking.

Originally, today’s training session had ended, but who knows what bullshit Li Duoxi had told the Living Yama. After Li Duoxi left, their training session was extended by three hours.

Damn it! Damn it all!

In this hellish weather, they would rather do a hundred kilometers of weight-bearing cross-country than lie on the ground, unmoving!

When Shen Jianguo rejoined the group, what he saw was this scene.

”Reporting!” he shouted loudly.

Xu Qigang turned his head, his handsome face devoid of any expression. He pursed his lips and said, ”Take off your clothes and do five hundred push-ups first.”

”Yes, sir!”

Shen Jianguo complied; he had left without permission, and he definitely was going to be punished.

The others were envious to death; they would rather do push-ups than squat here, freezing!

After finishing five hundred push-ups, Shen Jianguo stood up, drenched in sweat.

”Instructor, I have completed the push-ups.”

Xu Qigang nodded, ”Rejoin the ranks! Make up double the time you missed.”

Shen Jianguo’s mouth twitched as he rejoined the ranks. He highly suspected this was the Living Yama’s chance at revenge, bright and clear! Hence, before rejoining the ranks, he flashed Xu Qigang a provocative smile.

Although Ningning now liked him, the Living Yama, the first person she had liked was always Shen Jianguo; that was an unchangeable fact.

Xu Qigang’s face was expressionless, icy cold to the point that not a single subtle expression showed. No one knew that his inner world was already churning with raging waves, his eyes deep and dark. His hands, hidden behind his back, were clenched into fists, fiercely tight.

”Do you know why I have you train like this?” Xu Qigang asked loudly, walking around the men.

”No clue!” Those who remained were generally of superior quality, shining stars in their respective places. If the instructor had been somebody else, they would not still be lying there like dumbasses, freezing their asses off.
