I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 1012: Chapter 1012: The Pace of Being Overtaken

Lin Yi’s face was full of ease and composure. From such an expression, you could never imagine that at this moment, he was controlling dozens of flames.

The Devourer Necklace in front, under the influence of the Gravity Manipulation Skills, was steadily suspended in front of Lin Yi. The chain, made of some unknown alloy, was pulled apart with extreme smoothness, allowing Lin Yi to see all the details on the equipment conveniently.

Without Lin Yi needing to make many physical movements, he only had to focus his mind, without any unnecessary actions, and all kinds of flames would line up neatly, approaching the Devourer Necklace in an orderly fashion, burning it in sequence.

The flame with the highest temperature led the way, burning a spot on the necklace for a while. Once the temperature of a part of the necklace reached a certain degree, it would move to the next spot for heating.

Following closely behind were flames with slightly lower temperatures, which would precisely heat the part of the necklace that had just been raised to a certain temperature.

Is it really possible to enhance equipment like this?

Indeed, the previous competition with Sun Dachuan wasn’t Lin Yi’s limit.

What he really wanted to compete with Sun Dachuan was the depth of Enhancement Skill and the ultimate height of single equipment enhancement—not this flashy enhancement method.

Calling it flashy isn’t quite in line with Lin Yi’s style.

This assembly-line operation is extremely efficient.

When a part of the Devourer Necklace was burned to a certain degree, Lin Yi would then use the gentlest and most stable flame, condensing it into a sharp Fire Blade, subsequently lightly slashing through the thin chain of the necklace, revealing a tiny gap.

The flame responsible for burning the Spirit Crystal ore would also timely burn the ore into the ideal state.

Lin Yi would seize this critical moment, using Gravity Manipulation Skills to slightly open up this tiny gap and use his Source Power to guide the substance on the Spirit Crystal ore to adhere to the surface of the Devourer Necklace.

Taking advantage of the opening in the equipment, he would inscribe an Array in the crack with his flame.

Lin Yi’s actions are extremely skilled and very coherent, taking only a dozen seconds to inscribe the first Array, and under the effect of the Gravity Manipulation, restore it to its original form with just the right amount of force.

After completing all this, Lin Yi began inscribing the next Array.

The moment the previously inscribed Array completely closed, the next crack was already gently torn open under the effect of Lin Yi’s gravity manipulation.

Enhancing equipment from level 0 to +1 is something any wizard can do, but that high-efficiency enhancement method was something they were seeing for the first time.

In such a short moment, the four Enhancement Grandmasters from Treasure Blue Star hadn’t yet managed to enhance their equipment to the point of being able to open a crack, yet Lin Yi had already completed a level-1 enhancement and swiftly commenced a level-2 enhancement.

Lin Yi’s enhancement skills can no longer be described as proficient; calling it assembly-line work wouldn’t be an exaggeration at all.

In addition, Sun Dachuan’s performance was also quite remarkable. The flames he released were extremely high-temperature, yet in cooling them, he was very stable.

With a powerful Elemental Affinity, he was unafraid of the high temperatures when the equipment crack opened, steadily holding the bracelet with his left hand and gently tapping down with a small hammer in his right hand.

As Lin Yi’s brother, Sun Dachuan naturally acquired the Elemental Spirit Crystals, which were four-colored.

He could freely combine various elements based on the Fire Elemental to create flames of different power for use during enhancement.

Treasure Blue Star is very similar to Blue Star and is linked with the other three planets into a small star system.

However, Treasure Blue Star clearly lacks the strength to wage war against the neighboring other three star systems, so the Enhancement Grandmasters can only rely on their own abilities to concoct different flames for their use.

Compared to the two competitors from Blue Star, the four Grandmasters clearly do not have an advantage in flame manipulation, but the four Grandmasters are not discouraged.

They believe their enhancement methods are more advanced, and they are confident that even when switching to lower-level enhancement techniques, they can easily master them and surpass Lin Yi and Sun Dachuan.

Moreover, in this competition, the contest is not about speed. This time, there is no time limit, and it’s about who can enhance the equipment to the highest level.

After a brief shock, the four Grandmasters also entered the intense enhancement phase.

Having not used these lower-level enhancement techniques for a long time, they found themselves a bit unfamiliar.

But a Grandmaster is a Grandmaster; their enhancement skills are naturally superior to Lin Yi, and Lin Yi can certainly learn many useful things from them.

For example, their inscription techniques are much more advanced than Lin Yi’s.

The brothers from the Divine Refining Bureau were witnessing such a competition between so many Enhancement Grandmasters for the first time, gaining many things to learn and digest from both Lin Yi and Sun Dachuan, and the four Grandmasters.

Those who understand enhancement will regard this competition as a feast, while those who do not will find it rather boring.

The people under Lin Yi didn’t act with Ziyue but brought very important information.

Seeing Lin Yi was competing with the Enhancement Masters from the Upper Plane, the people under him didn’t disturb Lin Yi immediately but patiently waited in the venue.

Don’t be fooled by Lin Yi’s initial speed being quite rapid; as the enhancement level increased, everything became more complicated.

The necklace is only so large, the gap that can be opened is very small, and inscribing an array in it using one’s Source Power is a difficult task.

Even with the blessing of the Eye of All-Seeing, Lin Yi could only slow down his speed.

After inscribing forty arrays, the size of the Devourer Necklace had noticeably increased by a circumference, and each time he inscribed an array, he had to be extra careful.

With more and more arrays inscribed, Lin Yi had to slow down, and he even needed to personally get involved in opening the gap. Although Lin Yi appeared calm now, his Spirit was highly focused.

Sun Dachuan was even more so.

He did not possess the Eye of All-Seeing or Eyes of Golden Flame, relying only on his understanding of enhancement and years of accumulated experience in the profession. His speed was slightly slower than Lin Yi’s.

After all, what he held was a bracelet, the difficulty of enhancement is much lower compared to Lin Yi’s.

On the other hand, the four Grandmasters’ arrays being inscribed were more advanced, not only simpler in content but also inscribed at a considerably higher speed.

They not only didn’t lose to Lin Yi but surpassed Lin Yi in speed.

No choice, the four Enhancement Grandmasters on Treasure Blue Star are accustomed to this work, doing it day after day, month after month, until it became muscle memory. Naturally, their speed couldn’t be slow.

Plus, the items they enhanced were big pieces, and the difficulty of inscription was much less compared to Lin Yi.
