I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 863: Chapter 863: Unforeseen Phenomenon, A Conspiracy Unfolds

Since becoming a Professional, Lin Yi had seen many strong beings and many terrifying creatures with tenacious Life Force, but none were as resilient as the withered man before him.

It was hard to imagine what kind of belief sustained the man to live until now.

The man sensed the presence of strangers and forcefully opened his trembling white eyes.

The originally weary eyes instantly came to life, staring intently at the girl standing next to Lin Yi.

“Heh, I never thought, after so many years, that someone from the Qin Family would come to see me. So, are you planning to release me, or take my life?”

Shakyamuni exaggeratedly grinned, looking so terrifying that even Lin Yi felt a chill in his heart.

“If you intend to release me, let me tell you, you better not do that. I will definitely tear apart your schemes with everything I have, and drag your Qin Family down to hell with everything I’ve learned.”

“So just do it, end me now.”

Sensing the murderous intent that had risen to the extreme, Lin You sighed helplessly.

Does she not understand what kind of mindset Shakyamuni has?

What was he holding on for so long in this cold, chaotic Nine Netherworld?

Shakyamuni didn’t seem like a masochist.

Enduring the pain of his body being eroded and decayed, struggling in the sunless, viscous liquid, even being forgotten in the long river of time, what did Shakyamuni persist for, if not to one day get out alive and seek revenge against the Qin Family and All Celestial Divine Beings?

“Shakyamuni, there’s no need to provoke me, it’s meaningless. I know very well what’s on your mind. What I want to tell you is, I no longer belong to the Qin Family, nor will I serve All Celestial Divine Beings. The reason I came today is to release you.”

“This world can’t be reshuffled without your power.”

After saying this, Lin You took out the Elegy of the Soul, quickly rushed to Shakyamuni’s side, and slashed at the chains binding him, severing them all.

To regain freedom so easily left Shakyamuni a bit dumbfounded.

Wasn’t the Qin Family working for All Celestial Divine Beings? How come.

“Now, do what you want to do, no one will stop you. We must go. If you wish to leave this Land of the Nine Netherworld smoothly, you might as well follow me closely.”

After saying this, Lin You turned her body, intending to leave directly with Lin Yi.

She believed that with Shakyamuni’s character, even if he was tough on the outside, he would obediently follow along.

Unexpectedly, Shakyamuni’s actions completely took Lin Yi and Lin You by surprise.

“You seek death!”

Watching as Lin You’s abdomen was pierced through, the anger in Lin Yi’s chest instantly flared up.

He gathered all the Divine Power and Power of the Primordial he could use in his hand, and clawed towards Shakyamuni’s face.

But the difference in strength between the two sides was significant.

Strong and thick Divine Power ruthlessly blocked Lin Yi’s attack.

Even though Lin Yi’s palm was less than a centimeter from Shakyamuni’s gaunt face, it felt as if they were separated by tens of thousands of miles, his attack never landing on him.

Lin You felt the pain from behind, instinctively lowered her head to look at her abdomen.

Bright red blood was dripping out, that withered hand stained with her blood, even emitting hot steam.

The originally abundant physical strength began to quickly dissipate at this moment.

“Heh, I never thought, missy, after leaving Nine Netherworld for so many years, you eventually betrayed the Nine Netherworld.”

“The Master of Ten Thousand Souls having me stay here was truly the right decision.”

Saying so, Shakyamuni tore open the spatial disguise beside him and placed a Spirit Crystal used for recording into his personal space.

“As long as this content is publicized, you will be the enemy of the entire Nine Netherworld, oh no, the entire All Heavens and Myriads of Worlds.”

After these words, a powerful Divine Power erupted from Shakyamuni’s body, forcefully thrusting Lin Yi tens of meters away.

The injured Lin You fared worse; this eruption’s power was fully applied to her, and it felt like receiving the impact of a train head-on.

“You, who are you?”

Lin You searched her barely recovered memory for the identity of the current Shakyamuni.

She could be sure that although the person before her had Shakyamuni’s body, he was not Shakyamuni; he must have used some special means to seize Shakyamuni’s body.

Upon hearing this, Shakyamuni burst into laughter.

“Missy, you’ve become quite absurd, leaving Nine Netherworld for so many years and can’t even recognize the old servant’s voice? I’m the old ghost, the old ghost by the young master’s side.”

Saying this, Lin You realized why the Shakyamuni before her was not Shakyamuni.

Come to think of it.

Being eroded by that Washing Marrow Nether River for so many years in the Land of the Nine Netherworld, even with the support of a revenge belief, Shakyamuni had held on long enough. As Qin Guang, who controls the Ten Thousand Souls, having the capability to inject the old ghost’s soul into Shakyamuni’s body wasn’t surprising at all.

Indeed, what Lin Yi said was right, everything went too smoothly.

It seems that when Lin Yi’s group first entered the Land of the Nine Netherworld, they got targeted by Qin Guang.

Understanding the situation, Lin Yi quickly calmed his turbulent blood and energy.

He knew that his current strength compared to that of the old ghost occupying Shakyamuni’s body was vastly insufficient, hence, he could only pin his hopes on the black Hou.

“What are you waiting for, hurry up and come out, do you want me to die at his hands?”

In a direct confrontation, Lin Yi was indeed not the opponent.

But Lin Yi also had an advantage, which was the diversity and functionality of skills.

As long as a battle ensues, he would definitely be able to turn the tide with the auxiliary effects of his skills and help Lin You.

The black Hou in the Undead Space was quite helpless.

If time traveled back thousands of years, back to the days when it was tyrannizing under Wo Zhiqi, defeating a mere Shakyamuni possessed by an old ghost would have been no problem at all.

But now, the old ghost had consumed Source Power Elixirs for thousands of years, and over the long river of time, their strengths had been gradually equalized, or even reversed.

No wonder people say resources nourish people, resources can do the same.

The weakling from thousands of years ago now made the black Hou have to avoid its sharpness.

Yet, no matter how unwilling it was at heart, the black Hou could only brace itself.

It didn’t want its master to consume Soul Power, and it definitely didn’t want its master to be left without a home and hunted by All Celestial Divine Beings.

So, he could only roar and strike.

“You shameless thing, still priding yourself as a divine being, for how many years, only engaging in sneak attacks from behind, this behavior truly suits you so-called divine beings!”

The doors of the Undead Space opened, and the roar came out from within.

Upon hearing this, the old ghost found that the black Hou’s shadow had already reached behind him.

The black mist-like greatsword, injected with the black Hou’s Divine Power and Power of the Primordial, extended for a full hundred meters.

At the moment of its fierce downward strike, even the viscous chaos of the Nine Netherworld had to avoid its sharpness, making way.

“Die for me!”
