I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 696: Lin Yi Wielding a Sledgehammer? Are You Trying to Put Blacksmiths Out of Work?

In this era, the concept of establishment has long since ceased.

After Lin Yi proposed integrating the Divine Refining Bureau into Xia’s official system, he immediately received Xu Sheng’s approval.

The three planets destroyed by Blue Star each had their own proud special abilities, but Blue Star had none.

Initially, Xu Sheng thought Blue Star’s unique ability was creativity, until Lin Yi suggested that perhaps only Blue Star had the ability to enhance equipment, then Xu Sheng realized what Blue Star’s special ability was.

In the past thousands of years, due to limited technology and the limited enhancement effect of equipment, the profession of Enhancer had never been given much importance.

Even those powerful beings only saw equipment enhancement as a way to boost combat power after reaching their limits of strength.

Currently, the development of the ability to enhance equipment is only in its initial stage.

No one can say for certain that once the ability to enhance equipment is fully developed, it will bring less improvement to practitioners on Blue Star than skills or the Power of Law.

Therefore, restructuring the Divine Refining Bureau as an official institution has become a necessary task.

To vigorously develop this project, Xu Sheng has even added a clause in the military merit acquisition methods for providing equipment for the government.

In this way, people like Sun Dachuan can earn a lot of military merit points without going to the battlefield.

Of course, the students from Shenxiao forming the Divine Refining Bureau are still far from enough in numbers.

After the reputation of the Divine Refining Bureau is established, Xia’s government will offer generous policies to encourage Blacksmith masters from all over Blue Star to join. This will enable the rapid development of the Divine Refining Bureau.

Just by putting in physical effort, one can receive substantial rewards, which is likely to make many practitioners envious, thus motivating Xia to fully develop the ability of equipment enhancement.

”With military merit, connections, and resources, what do you say, brothers of Shenxiao, shall we do this or not?”

Shall we do this or not?

How could Dean Lin Yi ask such a question?

It’s like someone giving you a billion dollars that was never involved in anything illegal for free. Who would refuse that?

Sun Dachuan immediately led his brothers from the Divine Refining Bureau to express their gratitude to Lin Yi and Wanchong Mountain.

”Mr. Xu has left the decision for the head of the Divine Refining Bureau to me. I choose Sun Dachuan. No one will accuse me of abusing power, right?”

Lin Yi’s joke lightened the atmosphere of the entire Divine Refining Bureau.

There is no such thing as abusing power here.

Not to mention that Sun Dachuan’s blacksmith skills are already among the best in Shenxiao. Even if Lin Yi really did abuse his power, so what?

Without Lin Yi’s desperate efforts, Blue Star might have already been taken over by Izak Star.

Would anyone care if the hero who saved Blue Star engaged in a little favoritism?

Listening to the heartfelt congratulations from the surrounding students, Sun Dachuan’s eyes grew moist.

He looked at Lin Yi, looked at Principal Wanchong Mountain, overwhelmed and unsure of what to say.

He knew that following Lin Yi was beneficial, and that benefits would be plentiful, but he truly hadn’t expected Lin Yi to get him such an astonishingly good position.

Sun Dachuan’s combat power is indeed formidable, but it can’t be considered top-notch.

However, his blacksmith skills and talent are unquestionable.

Once Sun Dachuan fully devotes himself to the practice of blacksmithing, it won’t take long for him to become a true Blacksmith master. As long as the Divine Refining Bureau develops well, it is bound to become the most important department in Xia, and even on Blue Star.

And as the director, Sun Dachuan stands to gain immeasurable benefits. It’s truly beyond imagination.

The Divine Refining Bureau doesn’t need to develop too well, as long as it progresses steadily, it won’t take many years for Sun Dachuan, as the director, to become a central figure in all of Xia.

By then, his influence and connections may very well match Zhou Heyu’s.

With such a wonderful opportunity, given by Lin Yi, how could Sun Dachuan not be moved?

”From now on, brothers of the Divine Refining Bureau, you are part of the official institution. Being transferred from Shenxiao is like a well-to-do family marrying off their daughter. Shenxiao, as the maternal family, cannot treat you poorly.”

As soon as Lin Yi said this, everyone burst into laughter.

”Here, this storage spirit crystal contains a pile of premium spirit crystal raw ores, for all of you.”

With a thought, Lin Yi made a storage spirit crystal appear in his hand, and without hesitation, he tossed it to Sun Dachuan, the newly appointed director.

These men, skilled in forging, held endless gratitude in their hearts, yet regretfully lacked the culture to compose a poem to express their thanks, leaving them with only the path of constant verbal gratitude.

The old cat, watching Lin Yi’s back, couldn’t help but smile.

Had he saved Blue Star in a past life, to have Lin Yi, such a young man combining ability and character, join Shenxiao during his tenure as headmaster?

What a fortunate occurrence.

As the foremost institution of Xia, Shenxiao has seen talent across the ages, but none have ever matched the brilliance of Lin Yi.

Imagining that after his twilight years, he could boast to the predecessors of Shenxiao and departed old friends about having cultivated such an extraordinary young man who changed Blue Star’s fate, the old cat couldn’t contain his joy and delightedly submerged himself in it.

But after a while, his attention was drawn back by the urgent sound of metal striking.

Thinking it was some young person overly hasty with forging, he intended to lecture on the impatience of youth, only to be surprised by the unexpected sight of the hammer-wielder before him.

The old cat rubbed his eyes in disbelief, his lively eyes filled with boundless perplexity.

No way? When did this kid learn this skill?

Is this kid aiming to put the rest of the Divine Refining Bureau out of work with his terrifying talent? Once he starts, I’m afraid even blacksmithing won’t challenge him.

Watching Lin Yi’s well-executed and highly efficient striking speed, the old cat hurried to Sun Dachuan’s side, wanting to dismiss the notion forming in his mind.

”Sun, is Lin Yi enhancing?”

Sun Dachuan nodded, providing a definite answer.

”Yes, Headmaster, Dean Lin Yi is indeed enhancing equipment. Although this equipment’s grade is ordinary, Dean Lin Yi enhanced it to a +3 level within a minute.”

No way? What are you talking about, kid?

Breaking down Sun Dachuan’s words word by word, each meaning, pronunciation, and writing was clear to the old cat, but connected, the sentence was paradoxically incomprehensible.

To enhance equipment to a +3 level in just a minute for the first try...

What, Lin Yi, are you a prodigy or something?

A Mage performing the tasks of a Warrior, and doing it this well. Maybe we should all just follow you, and everyone on Blue Star should do your bidding. You’ve mastered skills not on the Mage’s skill book tree, so should we just give up?

The reason Lin Yi could grasp mechanical skills was because he mastered the special skill of Cyber Transformation.

How can an ordinary Mage learn skills outside the magic skill tree?
