I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 659: Chapter 659: A Troublesome Battle That’s Hard to Lose

About to travel far, Lin Yi couldn’t just occupy the position without contributing, using resources he didn’t really need.

Moreover, Lin Yi’s presence was like an insurmountable mountain. While his short-term existence could motivate Shenxiao students, giving them more passion to improve their strength...

Once the time stretches, however, the effect would be counterproductive. After all, the peak that can’t be surpassed is the ultimate summit.

Having the courage to challenge Lin Yi is truly rare, but no one on Blue Star thinks that just by working hard and training, they could shake Lin Yi’s status.

So, it’s time for Lin Yi to deal with his position as Shenxiao’s chief.

After Chu Xi perished in battle, according to Shenxiao’s ranking mechanism, Wei Shengtian was automatically promoted to the second position among the Ten Elites. Lin Yi only needed to accept one more challenge to give up his position as chief.

However, there’s one thing Lin Yi found really troublesome.

Why was he still on Shenxiao’s ranking when he was already the dean of Fu Xi Academy?

Thinking of this, Lin Yi made a special call using the Communication Spirit Crystal to the teacher responsible for Shenxiao’s ranking, hoping to avoid a trip if possible.

Furthermore, given Miss Wei Shengtian’s personality, even if Lin Yi went easy on her, she’d likely automatically concede.

Giving up this position was quite a hassle.

Comparatively, calling the academy official seemed a more convenient choice.

”Hello, is this Mr. Song? Ah, it’s me, Lin Yi. Yes, ah, no need to be polite.”

”Hmm? It’s not a big deal, just wanted to chat with you about the Shenxiao chief position. You see, I’m already the dean of Fu Xi Academy, so I was wondering if I could pass on my spot.”

”What?! Impossible?! Are you kidding? I’m already the dean; you want me to fight students, does that seem right?”

”I......”

After a round of communication, Lin Yi was completely speechless.

Just what strange rule was this?

Not being challenged meant staying on the ranking forever? Unless someone is gone?

Was Shenxiao always like this?

On the phone, Mr. Song displayed a gleeful expression, giving a thumbs up to the white cat licking its fur beside him.

”Reporting to the headmaster, everything went smoothly!”

Of course, Shenxiao never had such a rule.

Given Lin Yi’s many achievements, he was well qualified for graduation. Even the Shenxiao ranking stipulated that a student is automatically removed from the strong ranking after graduation.

But Lin Yi was different.

”Ha, this kid, now he’s in a bind. Let’s arrange things well, tell Wei Shengtian that Lin Yi is going to leave, and if she doesn’t challenge, there won’t be another chance. We don’t believe she’ll give up challenging Lin Yi.”

”This brat remembers he’s the dean when he needs something, but when nothing’s happening, he hardly looks at the academy. He wants to be a hands-off boss, but things aren’t that simple.”

The white cat raised its head proudly, almost as if the words ”Finally caught you” were written on its face.

Beside it, Mr. Song wore a similar expression.

Today’s embarrassment was for Lin Yi, oh not, the number one in Xia, Blue Star.

This event could easily be bragged about for a year.

Just like that, the news of Shenxiao’s head Wei Shengtian challenging the academy’s top genius Lin Yi spread quickly, dominating Shenxiao’s trending searches.

The head’s strength was impressive, strictly speaking, she was also Lin Yi’s senior sister. What a battle this would be, certainly attracting bets.

However, unlike usual, this time the bets were not on who would win but how many moves Wei Shengtian could withstand against Lin Yi.

At Shenxiao’s combat arena, it was packed with people.

Opportunities to see Lin Yi in action were rare enough, let alone him fighting Shenxiao students in his capacity as an academy dean.

On this day, those attracted here were not only Shenxiao students and teachers, but also scholars from many high schools and education boards.

The spacious arena was crammed full.

”Hey, everyone, today the host for this event is me, the headmaster. How do you all feel about that? I imagine this battle will be the most thrilling arena fight in Shenxiao’s history. Are you excited?”

The headmaster’s exasperated manner as an excited onlooker caused all Shenxiao’s teachers and students to chuckle uncontrollably.

Usually stern and serious, the headmaster showing this unknown side was truly unexpected.

”Headmaster is cool!”

”Hahaha, headmaster is handsome!”

”Long live the headmaster!”

No one could stop Shenxiao students from indulging their curiosity, especially after this cheerful announcement from Wanchong Mountain, which made the atmosphere even livelier.

It was only at that moment, seated in the guest section, that Lin Yi realized something was amiss. After scrutinizing the dear headmaster with the Truth Law, he finally spotted the problem.

”Oh, this old guy, setting a trap for me! Xiyue, why don’t you do me a favor and give him a symbolic punch? It seems improper for me as a student to act personally.”

Xiyue looked at Lin Yi’s slightly flushed expression and couldn’t help but smile gently.

”That Wanchong Mountain elder is my boss as well. As one of the deans, it’s hardly fitting for me to hit the headmaster, right?”

You!

You you you!

Lin Yi glanced at Xiyue, who was also behaving like an amused bystander, and could only sigh helplessly.

”This is troublesome~”

Amid the cheers from the crowd, a stream of light suddenly fell from the sky of Shenxiao’s arena, stirring up a cloud of dust.

Once the blur dissipated, a figure with a curvaceous body and delicate features emerged.

The reason she didn’t stir the hearts of Shenxiao’s male students was simply that they were too familiar with the person on stage.

Pleasing to the eyes, yes; strong, yes; as for her personality, she was flawless, and no one in the entire Nuwa Academy seemed to be a bad person.

It’s just her temperament, perhaps a bit too fiery, calling everyone brothers makes one conjure no improper thoughts.

But today, this head was a bit different.

Customarily clad in armor, today she donned a youthful school uniform, brimming with youthful exuberance along with a sweet touch.

This—is this right?

”Shenxiao Nuwa Academy’s student Wei Shengtian challenges chief Lin Yi, requesting Lin Yi to kindly coach!”

With that, Wei Shengtian politely bowed towards the direction of Lin Yi.

Before she could fully bow, a gentle breeze brushed her cheeks, morphing into a silhouette that supported her.

”Oh, Miss Wei, being so polite will overwhelm your junior. Remember, if you hadn’t generously paved the way back then, how could I have smoothly ascended to the top of Shenxiao’s Ten Elites?”

”Now, with you calling me dean, isn’t that like not viewing your junior as one of your own?”
