I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 652: Chapter 652: The Hottest New Material

In the center of the large screen at the square, a middle-aged couple greeted all the high-profile professionals at the scene with a slight air of reserve.

Though this couple had long escaped a humble upbringing and joined high society, dressed in valuable haute couture, their faces still bore the look of simplicity.

Lin Yi was unable to attend this grand event, so Xu Sheng suggested that Lin Yi’s parents attend in his stead.

Unlike the previous enthusiastic applause.

When Lin Guodong and Xu Qingfang appeared on the screen, all the high-level professionals at the entire square bowed ninety degrees in unison to the Lin couple.

Looking down at this scene from above, the feeling was utterly astonishing.

Let’s not even mention the high-level professionals from various countries; even the leaders from various nations stood up together and respectfully saluted the Lin couple.

This respect was well-earned by them.

After about ten seconds, everyone rose slowly.

It was at this moment that Xu Sheng spoke up.

”I presume everyone knows the identity of these two, right? Today, Mr. Lin and Mrs. Lin are here to witness this historic moment. As the Alliance Leader of the Blue Star Professional Alliance, I, Xu Sheng, have an announcement to make.”

”After discussions among the high-level officials from various countries, it has been unanimously decided that from now on, as long as Mr. Lin and Mrs. Lin are within the Blue Star Territory, no matter where they go or which country they are in, they will enjoy the treatment reserved for state guests!”

The decision made by the Blue Star Professional Alliance was completely expected.

Everyone can see Lin Yi’s contributions to Blue Star, and no one has any objections to him. The value he has brought to Blue Star can no longer be measured by military merits alone.

As Xu Sheng’s words ended, there was another deafening round of applause.

Meanwhile, leaders from various countries also stood up one by one, shook hands with the Lin couple, and extended sincere invitations.

This was just a segment in the event.

The most important matter today was the implementation of new regulations.

Previously, the evaluation of professionals’ strength was mostly limited to professional levels.

When professionals introduced themselves, they would often state which country and level they belong to or mention titles like War God along with their professional designation.

Now, however, as Blue Star professionals have entered an era where everyone masters elemental power, the Blue Star Professional Alliance accordingly devised a plan to append an elemental power mastery introduction to professional titles.

For different levels of professionals, Blue Star countries will allocate different resources.

Once the elemental mastery rating is concluded, training resources for Blue Star professionals will include an additional evaluation metric, making today’s elemental control power assessment extremely important.

Just like skills, elemental power is also divided into levels from one to ten.

For example, wind and water elements combine into ice elements, and ice elements also have their own divisions of rank.

The ice element mastery a professional controls, if unaffected by skills of certain levels, will have its elemental power recognized as that level.

Take Lin Yi as an example. The black ice he controls is unaffected by any skills below level ten, thus his control over ice power can be termed as level ten.

Of course, Lin Yi has not yet reached such a level.

His control over black ice has not achieved a state of perfection. Even though he currently has the ability to control this power, he relies not on top mastery of ice elements but on the suppression by the Power of Law.

To put it simply, the level of elemental power one can freely master determines how many levels of skill defense it can ignore.

After the event, Blue Star professionals will undergo rigorous testing, and the elemental control power of every high-level professional will be documented. This will allow for resources allocation based on these levels, facilitating team arrangements when necessary.

The conference lasted quite a long while.

During this time, Lin Guodong and Xu Qingfang truly experienced the extent of their child’s contribution to the development of Blue Star.

While they couldn’t find fault with the aspect of bringing glory to their ancestors, the matter of accompanying parents drew some complaints from the elderly couple.

Lin Guodong and Xu Qingfang understood the philosophy of sacrificing the small family for the larger one, but what they didn’t understand was why Lin Yi took away their prospective daughter-in-law this time when he returned.

How boring life would be for the elderly couple in the future.

Above the Far North, on the Shenxiao Main Ship.

A team that had completed its mission had just stepped off the teleportation array, returning to the Shenxiao Territory.

”Hey, I’m telling you, this mission really went smoothly!”

”You have to admit, Junior Jiang Ya’s strength is truly impressive. I’m beginning to wonder if our junior took the special recruitment route.”

An eighth-level Fu Xi Academy senior stretched, releasing the fatigue accumulated throughout the day.

Following him were five young students—two male, three female—with strengths around the Seventh Transformation.

Reaching this level in their early twenties, they could be considered quite powerful.

”Absolutely, several times during our deep descent into Descent Abyss, we relied on Junior Jiang Ya’s telekinesis skills to turn danger into safety. Given her strength, it’s unlikely she took the special recruitment route.”

The special recruitment of Jiang Ya and Zhang Shan was an open secret at Shenxiao.

Ever since Lin Yi started his journey, Xia has spared no effort in pouring resources into Shenxiao for Lin Yi’s sake.

The already privileged top academy received resources and honors in abundance, almost unimaginable amounts.

Moreover, in this world of the survival of the fittest, it is only natural for the strong to enjoy certain privileges.

Granting Jiang Ya and Zhang Shan a place at Shenxiao met with no objections from the students there.

In fact, the students and teachers at Shenxiao would look after Jiang Ya and Zhang Shan out of respect for Lin Yi.

Compliments flowed sincerely, yet Jiang Ya found herself a bit embarrassed, modestly saying with a flushed face:

It’s really thanks to all you seniors; otherwise, with my strength, getting through the Descent Abyss smoothly would be impossible.

Contrary to Jiang Ya’s expectations, her days at Shenxiao were not as difficult.

The courses at Shenxiao were somewhat intense, but the teachers and students were very welcoming.

After familiarizing herself with the rules, Jiang Ya’s skills improved significantly and she smoothly integrated into the group.

As such, she had already begun teaming up with upperclassmen to clear the Descent Abyss dungeons, earning their recognition.

The mutual compliments had just started when a beam of white light descended before them, instantly capturing the attention of all six.

”Greetings, Principal.”

Since peace returned to Blue Star, Shenxiao had shed its veil of mystery.

Even Principal Wanchong Mountain had revealed the secret that his true form was a cat.

Seeing Wanchong Mountain in person, the group hurriedly saluted respectfully.

”No need for such formalities. I came this time for this little girl, Jiang Ya.”

”Let’s go. Zhang Shan is already picking. Come with me, Jiang Ya. The Elemental Spirit Crystals allocated by the Blue Star Professional Alliance have arrived. See if there’s one suitable for you and pick one.”

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ya’s five companions all displayed expressions of envy.
