I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Selling Loot and Adding Points! Ultra-Rare Necromancy Element Skill Book!

The attributes of the two skill books quickly appeared in front of Lin Yi.

First was a skill book glowing with dots of blue light.

[Skill Book: Explosive Arrow]

[Type: Skill Book (Tome)]

[Class: Archer]

[Learnable Level: LV.30]

[Tier: Tier 2]

[Effect: After use, there is a 70% probability that you will learn the skill: Burst Arrow.]

Lin Yi’s eyes lit up.

An archer skill book is not cheap!

And this is a Tier 2 skill book.

Its value is estimated to be several times higher than the Wind Blade skill book he obtained from slaying the Tiger King!

However, Lin Yi just learned.

It turns out that aside from beginner skill books, those that directly allow you to learn higher-tier skills come with a probability of learning.

They are not 100% learnable.

He seemed to finally be able to understand the difficulties of those ordinary professionals.

Someone might save for several years to buy a high-tier skill book.

Only to fail in learning it.

That truly would be a devastating blow to their mentality.

Fortunately, Lin Yi doesn’t have such worries at all.

And he only needs to search for and purchase beginner skill books.

Lin Yi turned his gaze to another skill book with a black cover, filled with a sense of death.

Soon detailed information surfaced, making Lin Yi instantly excited.

[Skill Book: Summon: Skeleton Soldier]

[Type: Skill Book (Tome)]

[Class: Necromancer Knight, Summoner, Dark Priest (requires Breakthrough Magic Crystal), Mage (requires Breakthrough Magic Crystal)]

[Learnable Level: LV.5]

[Tier: Tier 1]

[Effect: After use, you will learn the skill: Summon: Skeleton Soldier.]

Damn, I’m really hitting the jackpot this time!

Necromancy element skill book!

And the learnable classes include Mage!

Necromancy element skills are considered one of the rarest among all Mage specializations.

They should come right after the gravity attribute.

Necromancy element magic covers summoning creatures and soul attacks, which have highly advantageous traits.

Magic that can directly attack the enemy’s soul can sometimes produce extremely exaggerated effects, defeating the strong with the weak, no problem!

Lin Yi chose to use it.

However, a cold prompt sounded.

[Learning failed! Your class is not the orthodox class of this skill; if you wish to learn it, you need to consume additional material: Breakthrough Magic Crystal!]

Damn it!

Can’t learn it!

What the hell is this Breakthrough Magic Crystal?

Lin Yi racked his brains but didn’t find any relevant information in his memory.

But concerning the concept of orthodox professions and branch professions, Lin Yi had indeed learned about it before.

Simply put, after the mutation of Blue Star, the various professions were not entirely parallel lines that never intersect, but sometimes connections exist between them.

Take Mage skills for example.

The Tier Six Molten Fire Demon is a skill that both Fire Attribute mages and summoners can learn.

However, for fire mages, this skill is learned once they advance a tier; fire mages belong to the orthodox profession of this skill.

Whereas for summoners, a corresponding skill book is needed to learn it.

Summoners are the branch profession for this skill.

Besides, the Tier Six Wind Attribute’s Swift Wind Flash can also be learned by other professions like Swordsman, Samurai, and Ninja.

But now it seems, unlocking skills of branch professions not only requires consuming skill books but also materials called Breakthrough Magic Crystals.

Forget it, there’s no rush.

Even if I learn a necromancy element skill now, it’s not easy to enhance it to a high tier as there aren’t enough skill points.

Bear in mind that there’s still the ice attribute skill and the Mana Shield, the crucial passive skill providing survival capabilities that are eager to be developed.

Priority should be given to advancing these two skills to higher tiers first.

Lin Yi took out a black card from his pocket.

And a business card.

”Treasure Pavilion Jiangcheng Base City General Store Manager, Zhang Dafu, Contact: XXX...”

Alright, time to sell my loot, cash in, enhance equipment—a full package!

...

More than half an hour later.

In the VIP guest reception room of Jiangcheng’s Treasure Pavilion.

”Please take a seat, please take a seat!”

”Hehehe, Mr. Lin, your esteemed presence graces our humble shop!”

”I wonder what unexpected adventures have you had recently and what items you’d like to sell?”

Lin Yi sat on the sofa.

Zhang Dafu served Lin Yi a cup of premium hot tea, his smiling face full of warmth.

Chubby and slick was Lin Yi’s first impression of Zhang Dafu.

He is the epitome of a businessman.

Every matter revolves around money.

This is also a form of purity.

Lin Yi didn’t dislike Zhang Dafu.

And demonstrated sincerity on the spot.

He took out four or five rare materials dropped by the Necromancy Element BOSS Knight Rivendell from his portable space.

These materials were carefully picked by Lin Yi.

They are random wild drops that can’t be traced back to a specific creature’s drop.

This way, they wouldn’t raise suspicion or let anyone trace his past through clues.

As Lin Yi placed these rare materials one by one on the table.

He could see Zhang Dafu’s plump face slightly quivering.

Clearly, these items are very rare!

Moreover, Lin Yi had done his homework in advance, understanding the going rates for these materials in the exchange.

”Mr. Lin, allow me to call you little brother!”

”These... all for sale?”

Lin Yi nodded.

In the next moment, Zhang Dafu produced a Silver Calculation Token from somewhere, his fat fingers swiftly and skillfully maneuvered the beads on the abacus, producing a crisp sound.

Lin Yi initially thought he’d have to wait a while.

Unexpectedly, in less than five seconds.

A result was reached.

”Little brother, for these materials, I can offer 440,000 Xia currency here—full purchase!”

”And to be honest with you, I can list each material for you and mark the unit price; you definitely won’t be at a loss!”

”Well, 440,000 is not a very auspicious number, I’ll make it 450,000!”

Upon hearing this offer, Lin Yi had already nodded secretly in his heart.

Earlier, he checked these materials in the exchange, and multiplied the unit price by quantity, yielding a total of 390,000.

At Zhang Dafu’s, an unexpected 60,000 more.

It’s acceptable.

”Alright.”

”Also, boss, do you buy equipment?”

Zhang Dafu’s face twitched again.

He squinted slightly, looking at Lin Yi with curiosity.

”Little brother, are you...?”

Of course, Lin Yi knew his meaning.

Seeing his expression, he estimated Zhang Dafu was also testing him.

Maybe if Lin Yi confessed he had silver-grade or above equipment to sell, he’d actually take up the deal.

But, Lin Yi wouldn’t be foolish enough to take such a risk.

”Rest assured, they’re all silver-grade equipment. I’m just too lazy to visit the exchange again, just seeing if you’ll buy them, if not, I’ll find someone else.”

Zhang Dafu, upon hearing this, promptly replied, ”Yes! We buy everything!”

”Just that if the silver-grade equipment you’re selling isn’t of high level, the offer on my side won’t be much above market price, some might even be at flat rates, as this stuff is strictly controlled by our official regulations, with high established recovery prices!”

Lin Yi nodded, ”No problem.”

Then, Lin Yi retrieved the six pieces of silver gear previously dropped by the BOSS, which he had selected carefully.

Although these pieces were only silver-grade, their levels ranged from 40 to 60, allowing Lin Yi to collect another hundred thousand.

Just when Zhang Dafu thought today’s deal would end here.

Lin Yi threw another bombshell.

”Boss, do you sell Breakthrough Magic Crystals here?”
