I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Counting the Spoils, Platinum Undead Greatsword!

Lin Yi’s class change is marked by simplicity, with no distinguishing features.

It’s just the fixed attribute point increase gained with each level upgrade, from 1 point to 2 points.

And the effect of adding Spirit attribute points on Magic damage and Mana regeneration is more potent than after the first class change.

Although he already knew he’d gain a new active skill and a new passive skill after the second class change.

But the two skills he unlocked were evidently quite ordinary.

The skill he got after the first class change was Fireball Technique, and after the second class change, he received Frost Arrow.

The Fire and Ice attributes are the most common specializations within the Mage profession on Blue Star.

Because most people acquire the corresponding skills through the first and second class changes.

In an environment where skills are so difficult to acquire.

The majority naturally have no choice but to fall into Fire Mage or Ice Mage.

Then, after investing all the skill points, it’s even harder to switch to another attribute.

However, Lin Yi did not despise Frost Arrow and Mana Shield.

Because any skill, as long as it’s a skill.

In his hands, becomes extraordinarily valuable!

After the successful class change.

Lin Yi opened his personal panel and allocated all the attribute points gained from leveling up to the Spirit attribute.

Tier Seven magic consumes a substantial amount of Mana.

Not to mention the subsequent Tier Eight and even Forbidden Curse spells.

It can be anticipated that after his passive skill [Divine Grace Chant], which speeds up casting, is upgraded to Tier Nine, he’ll definitely be able to cast Forbidden Curses instantaneously.

At that point, Lin Yi didn’t want to become a flawed Mage incapable of casting after the free casting effect from [Mana Storm] disappeared.

After allocating points, Lin Yi’s panel showed a nearly transformative change compared to two days ago.

[Lin Yi]

[Profession: Intermediate Mage (2nd Class Change)]

[Level: LV.39 (4.30%)]

[Strength: 41]

[Agility: 41]

[Spirit: 566]

[Professional Active Skills: Fire Attribute (Tier 1~7 Magic), Storm Attribute (Tier 1~7 Magic), Ice Attribute (Tier 1 Magic)]

Lin Yi leveled up 9 times after the class change, including massive experience from the mutated Undead Knight and the experience from instantly killing a large number of undead soldiers.

After the level cap was lifted, this experience wasn’t lost.

His total Mana, which barely reached three or four thousand points after consuming Alchemy Potions before.

Skyrocketed to nearly forty thousand points.

Now, even without relying on the free casting from [Mana Storm], Lin Yi could use his own Mana to cast Tier Seven spells three or four times.

The newly acquired two professional skills, Lin Yi checked his remaining skill points.

They were just a bit short of leveling both skills to Tier Seven.

But Lin Yi wasn’t in a hurry.

His gains this time were much more abundant than in the Wailing Forest.

After all, the level of the mutated Undead Knight was right there, and the dropped items could definitely sell for a good price.

Thinking so, Lin Yi walked out of the Reincarnation Sanctuary.

Then he went home.

It was currently noon.

On the home table were three or four dishes that Lin Yi loved, along with a note from his mother.

”If the food gets cold, just heat it in the microwave.”

”Your homeroom teacher came looking for you this morning, said it’s urgent and related to your future, remember to find out what it is.”

Lin Yi’s father, Lin Guodong, worked in the mines, not exactly rising early and retiring late, but each shift in the mine usually lasted seven or eight hours.

Since it’s so cumbersome to go in and out of the mine, frequent entries and exits would waste a lot of time instead.

And his mother, Xu Qingfang, was a teacher, of course, she was not a professional, and what she taught were ordinary cultural courses.

Lin Yi was long accustomed to the lifestyle of his parents not coming home at noon and only gathering at night.

After being full, Lin Yi returned to his room.

He took out all the items dropped by the undead knight Rivendell from his portable space.

First, there were a dozen pieces of equipment.

Unfortunately, none of these pieces of equipment were usable by Mages.

Lin Yi checked the grade, with eight or nine items being Silver grade and three being Gold grade.

And the last one was Platinum grade.

It happened to be that black giant sword that Rivendell was holding previously.

[Undead Rune Giant Sword]

[Type: Weapon (Two-Handed)]

[Grade: Platinum]

[Equipment Level: LV.60]

[Equippable by Professions: Warrior, Knight-class change]

[Weight: 29.3kg]

[Physical Attack Power +845]

[Strength +97]

[Endurance +88]

[Durability: 100/100]

[Special Effect: Plague Corruption]

[When hitting a target, there’s a 10% chance to infect the target with a plague, dealing 200 points of dark attribute damage per second for 30 seconds. This effect can stack up to 5 layers.]

Lin Yi hadn’t seen other Level 60 equipment and weapons, so he naturally didn’t know whether the attributes of this two-handed giant sword were good or not.

But he did know that weapons with special effects would never be of low value.

But this is precisely what makes Lin Yi feel the most frustrated.

Because, including the other three Gold-grade pieces of equipment, he couldn’t dispose of them immediately.

In this Blue Star World he had traveled to.

Xia’s regulation on all professionals’ equipment was extremely strict.

Equipment of Silver grade and above was strictly prohibited by the Xia official from entering the private professional market.

Once discovered, they would trace it back to the source.

This was actually the same logic as Xia’s gun prohibition in his previous life on Earth.

Equipment is the easiest external means for ordinary people or those with ulterior motives to enhance personal strength.

A person with a very low level and skill points.

If he is given a set of fine equipment, he can also cause significant destruction.

Therefore, except for high-ranking officials, stationed military professionals, and these special organizations, possession of Silver grade and above equipment is already against the regulations for other professionals.

Once discovered, severe punishment is unavoidable.

Of course, this doesn’t mean professionals who get these high-grade pieces have to keep them forever.

The official has opened a dedicated recycling channel.

The excellent equipment you get, the Xia official will buy them back at a high price.

A truly high price, one that ensures you’re satisfied.

So most professionals don’t have many complaints.

However, the reason Lin Yi couldn’t dispose of these pieces was that given his current level and theoretical strength, he couldn’t explain to the officials where these pieces came from.

If he said he obtained them himself, he’d have to explain many more things.

Lin Yi is very afraid of trouble.

So Lin Yi planned to store these pieces in his portable space for now, waiting until his strength on paper is sufficiently strong in the future.

Then, when he sells them, the officials won’t question him closely anymore.

Lin Yi put away the three Gold-grade pieces and the Platinum Undead Greatsword back into his space, and then took out two skill scrolls.

These were the most prized treasures!
