Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

244: Chapter 244 Praising the Fishermen”Iron Curtain, you are an improved version of the first-generation Heavenly General. I’ll give you this chance to redeem yourself through service. You can continue to serve!”

”You know the code for the Ion Cannon.”

The mecha stepped forward, seemingly wanting to refuse, but the highest-level military order had already been transmitted to its mind.

It had no choice but to walk to the virtual imaging console and activate the Ion Cannon.

”Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!”

Soon, in the virtual imaging display, the Starship fired ten thousand streams of ion torrents in the direction where the Torch had fled.

In an instant, it covered the entire airspace in that direction.

With this density, escape was almost impossible.

Even if the opponent turned, it would take some time to escape.

However, the Torch had not fled for long.

At this moment, one minute after escaping the Starship, the Torch immediately began to turn diagonally.

Clearly, he was also worried that after Jiang Chen occupied the Starship, he would use the weapons to track him.

In his plan, Jiang Chen would only be able to discover him after at least ten minutes.

However, he had only fled for one minute when Jiang Chen stormed the command room.

By the fourth minute, he had Iron Curtain fire the ion beams.

Ten thousand beams fired simultaneously, lighting up the sky like fireworks.

Just as they had illuminated Jiang Chen’s small fishing boat previously.

It was just that Mai Guyao’s Torch was not as superb as Jiang Chen’s small fishing boat.

The Torch was quickly overtaken by the ion beams and vanished into space in an instant.

The Torch was hit during one of the ten thousand ion torrent volleys.

But because it was cloaked, no one knew where he died.

Jiang Chen simply had Iron Curtain continue to activate the ion torrents, bombarding the northwest airspace for ten minutes.

Ten minutes later, Jiang Chen estimated that not even the ashes of the Torch and Mai Guyao remained.

Only then did he have Iron Curtain stop firing the ion torrents.

”Very good, Mr. Iron Curtain Mecha. In view of the great task you have completed for humanity.”

”I can allow you and your subordinates to continue serving on the Starship after undergoing maintenance at the repair facility.”

”As for the others, they are all discharged!”

Jiang Chen finished speaking to the crowd, then looked at Staff Officer 9905.

”To prevent senseless sacrifice, please issue a surrender statement.”

9905 said, ”I can only represent the Starship in surrendering. As for the Tudigong Starship and the Starship, they are not in my hands, and they may not necessarily listen to me.”

”Just go ahead and issue the surrender statement; you don’t need to worry about the rest.”

”I believe they will make their own choices.”

Jiang Chen said. He didn’t know yet if the Starship and the Avian Flight Formation had started fighting.

But the Tudigong Starship was moving so slowly that anyone could see the other party was a fence-sitter.

As long as the news of the Starship’s surrender spread from here, the Tudigong would likely follow suit and surrender as well.

”Alright.”

Staff Officer 9905 began drafting the surrender statement.

After Jiang Chen reviewed it, he broadcasted this statement to all human receivers.

”This is the Starship. I am Staff Officer 9905. Commander Mai Guyao chose to flee the moment Mr. Jiang boarded the ship. Our ship’s three thousand-plus members failed in their resistance. To avoid senseless sacrifice, I, 9905, representing the Starship, choose to surrender to Mr. Jiang and to Earth. We are willing to accept any disposition.”

The statement was short. Transmitted via radio at near-light speed, it quickly reached the Starship, the Starship, the Mars Base, and Earth media.

Near Venus. One of humanity’s three major warships, the Tudigong Starship, was being besieged by the Moon Rabbit Starship and the Sister Li simultaneously.

Based on the Earth declaration as an agreement, the two of them besieging the Tudigong Starship seemed only natural.

However, no one would know that the reason Ye Shencai of the Tudigong was being besieged was purely because of those two photos.

Ye Shencai saw that Commander Jiang Qiuzhi and Li Yuee were so ashamed and angry that they were almost about to activate the Planet-Killer Cannon.

Just then, news of the Starship’s defeat suddenly came from Earth.

And a surrender statement was also issued.

Once this statement was released, Ye Shencai breathed a sigh of relief.

It was finally over.

She hurriedly sent the statement to the Moon Rabbit Starship and the Sister Li: ”Two fairy sisters, the Starship has been defeated, and I, the Tudigong, also plan to lie flat and surrender.”

”However, I am reminding you.”

”Treat the captives well!”

”Otherwise, I’ll sue you!”

The Sister Li and the Moon Rabbit Starship were just planning to board the Tudigong Starship and give Ye Shencai a good beating.

They hadn’t expected that the Starship would actually choose to surrender.

”That was too fast.” Li Yuee was actually somewhat dissatisfied. How was this Starship such a weakling? She hadn’t even broken into the Tudigong Starship to take her revenge yet.

Commander Jiang Qiuzhi, however, rolled her eyes and replied to the Tudigong Starship: ”Please open the warship and accept your surrender!”

”Only the commander is allowed to enter.”

”Warning you, don’t go too far, otherwise I’ll sue you.”

Ye Shencai gave a repeated warning before letting Commander Jiang Qiuzhi and Li Yuee in.

As soon as the two women entered, they rushed forward.

Pulling hair here, tugging hair there.

The three women immediately started brawling.

”Dead woman, watch me kill you!”

”Ah! Die, you bitch!”

”Treat the captives well! Treat the captives well! I’m going to sue you! I’ll send you to the fleet military court!”

”It’s only the Starship that surrendered, not Mars.”

”But I already issued the surrender document.”

”Didn’t see it, I’ll look at it later!”

The surrounding staff officers and mechas were stunned by this scene, looking at each other in bewilderment.

What happened to the agreed-upon surrender ceremony? Why did they start fighting?

”What should we do?”

The mechas searched their entire system database but had never seen such a scene; for a moment, they were about to crash.

”I don’t know...”

The staff officers shook their heads, indicating that they didn’t know either.

Seeing that the three women were fighting more and more outrageously, their clothes almost torn apart.

Everyone had no choice but to walk away.

They could only vaguely hear the sounds of fighting coming from the command room.

And the occasional excited voice.

”Quick, take a picture, keep proof of her!”

”That figure, slurp.”

While the brawl was happening near Venus.

The Starship and the Starship arrived at the airspace where the Starship was stationed shortly after.

The Starship arrived early because Zhao Yinhu had judged in advance that the Starship was going to be defeated.

”On behalf of Lord Dragon Emblem, I express my respects to Mr. Jiang.”

After arriving near the Starship, the commander of the Starship boarded the Starship and said respectfully to Jiang Chen.

Jiang Chen gave him a faint glance. This Starship arriving only after he had taken the Starship was a bit too coincidental.

However, he didn’t say much else, only asking them to help clean up the scene, reorganize the personnel, and disarm the weapons.

At this time, the Starship also arrived in this airspace and landed on the deck.

”A small fishing boat taking down a Starship, what a crazy miracle!” Xia Zhongxun said, striding towards Jiang Chen after boarding the ship.

They had all been prepared for the small fishing boat to disappear into space.

Unexpectedly, in just a few short minutes, the situation had undergone an earth-shaking change.

”Husband, how did you do it?”

Xue Yao rushed up and hung herself on Jiang Chen.

Ignoring the people around them, she pecked at Jiang Chen like a chick pecking at rice.

Jiang Chen flicked her nose and smiled: ”Did you forget? My original profession was a fisherman. Dealing with a Starship in space is just like dealing with a shark in the sea; using a fishing net is enough!”

”Using a fishing net?” Xia Zhongxun, Xue Yao, and the others were all dumbfounded, not knowing what he meant.

Only Tie Zhu, standing to the side, vaguely found the record in its database of Jiang Chen throwing a fishing net in the sea back in the day.

It was on the fishing boat at the time and had recorded many of Jiang Chen’s fishing activities.

”It seems that fishing net is not simple.”

Tie Zhu’s CPU arrived at this conclusion.

Thinking of this, it stepped forward, cupped its right fist with its left palm, raised its right thumb to the sky, and said to Jiang Chen.

”Praise the Fisherman!”
