Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

224: Chapter 224 Leading All of Humanity Towards Level One Life”By the way, what are the energy sources and speeds currently used by the Aerospace Carriers?”

Jiang Chen continued to ask.

Commander Jiang Qiuzhi beat the others to the answer: ”Controlled Nuclear Fusion primarily based on Qi material is the main energy source!”

”As for speed, under normal circumstances, it is still only 0.01% of the speed of light.”

”However, when using the Matter-Antimatter Annihilation Engine, it can reach 1% of the speed of light.”

”It’s just that the matter and antimatter you left behind back then is insufficient. Two-thirds of it has already been used. Unless it’s a special emergency, the Luan Bird will not use this engine.”

As soon as Commander Jiang Qiuzhi spoke, Jiang Chen immediately remembered.

The yin-yang material he had salvaged back then was only a few tons.

He hadn’t expected that after so many years, there would still only be that much.

Moreover, every time it was used, a little less remained.

”Is there no technology more advanced than the Matter-Antimatter Annihilation Engine?”

Jiang Chen asked again!

Fifty years had passed, yet they were still developing things left behind from his era.

All three shook their heads: ”The Matter-Antimatter Annihilation Engine alone consumed a vast amount of resources, talent, and wealth. As for more advanced Gravitational Wave Drives, there hasn’t been a single sign of progress.”

”In other words, in terms of technology, everyone is still researching based on the previous foundations without any major breakthroughs.”

”As for the evolution path, the peak of a Level 2 Lifeform is the strongest?”

Jiang Chen made a rough judgment of this era.

”Yes, that’s pretty much the situation.”

”If humans want to leave the Earth, the current speed is still not enough.”

The three of them said.

”It seems Dad still has to come out of retirement.”

Jiang Chen took a deep breath, and the scorching Lightning Qi energy within his body began to resonate with the distant air.

Dark clouds suddenly gathered in the sky!

Thunder seemed to be gathering in the distance.

The waves gradually became violent and turbulent.

A strong wind blew from the seaside.

This was clearly not something a Level 2 Lifeform could achieve.

Jiang Haipeng had the most energy in his body; he was the first to sense the immense gravitational pull from his father, and his expression changed slightly.

Although many years had passed, universal gravitation was still effective to this day—the larger the mass, the greater the gravity. The last time Jiang Haipeng had felt such a massive gravitational pull was when he was cruising near Jupiter.

Seeing the various anomalies, Commander Jiang Qiuzhi’s eyes also lit up. Dad is so amazing; it looks like she is about to break through too!

Seeing this, Qin Xueyao said in tacit understanding, ”Congratulations to the Dragon King on his return!”

Hearing this, Commander Jiang Qiuzhi and Jiang Haipeng also spoke loudly.

”Congratulations to the Dragon King Dad on his return!”

”...”

After meeting with his son and daughter.

They returned to space.

But Jiang Chen did not leave Earth immediately.

Instead, he took the small fishing boat and Xue Yao to Zhongsha City first.

He planned to visit the elderly.

Although many people had migrated away, Zhongsha City was still the largest city in the Dragon Kingdom.

Near a public cemetery.

Jiang Chen and Xue Yao, holding a bouquet of white flowers, appeared before a certain tombstone.

It was inscribed: Tomb of Qin Guo Hua and His Wife.

”Hubby, do you think the development of technology is truly a good thing for humanity?”

Xue Yao stood before the tombstone, burning paper money for her parents in the afterlife. She suddenly looked up to ask Jiang Chen, who was pouring yellow wine opposite her.

Jiang Chen was taken aback and asked, ”Why would you think that? Your father was a senior researcher at the Longke Academy when he was alive. He and I both felt that technology is a good thing for humanity.”

”Technology has indeed made human life better.”

Jiang Chen replied.

Xue Yao said slowly, ”Perhaps. But for those who are not Level 1 Life Forms, it’s also a huge divide. After all, not everyone can become a Level 1 Life Form.”

”You saw it when we just entered Zhongsha City, didn’t you? Some people are flying aircraft worth hundreds of millions, while others are still taking buses from fifty years ago. Although they are free now, some stations are very dilapidated, with no one coming to repair them for years.”

”I wonder if, as technology continues to develop like this, two major biological groups will emerge: Space Humans and Earth Humans.”

Xue Yao was worried.

Jiang Chen fell silent for a moment.

What Xue Yao said was the truth!

To some extent, this could be considered a side effect left behind by the rapid development of technology.

Including the passing of her parents while Xue Yao still had a long life ahead—these were all side effects of technological progress.

Jiang Chen knew she was sad and even felt guilty—guilty for not being able to make them Level 1 Life Forms as well.

But becoming a Level 1 Life Form was not easy.

Even though millions or tens of millions of such beings had appeared on Earth.

There were still over ten billion people on Earth who were not Level 1 Life Forms...

It was no wonder Xue Yao was worried about whether Space Humans and Earth Humans would be born if the differentiation continued.

Jiang Chen pondered for a good while before finally replying.

”The development of technology has drawbacks overall, but I still feel the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.”

”Take the tens of billions of people on Earth who haven’t become Level 1 Life Forms, for example.”

”Even though they haven’t become Level 1 Life Forms, if I’m not mistaken, their average lifespan has increased by at least several decades, right?”

Xue Yao said, ”Yes. Previously, the global human lifespan was around sixty years; now, they are basically all centenarians.”

”So, your parents living to one hundred and twenty was actually a natural death from old age. There’s no need for you to feel guilty.”

Jiang Chen continued.

”Returning to the number of Level 1 Life Forms—the reason it hasn’t covered all of humanity is likely due to the shortage of qi particles.”

In his evolution from a Level 1 Life Form to a Level 4 Lifeform, Jiang Chen could clearly feel the role of qi particles in biological evolution.

But the total amount of qi particles in the Solar System is limited.

Even Commander Jiang Qiuzhi, who has the Fire Qi attribute, was unable to break through because Mars became a human base and she couldn’t obtain enough energy, let alone the vast number of ordinary humans on Earth.

”Therefore, leaving the Solar System to find more Qi is the correct path to collectively lead all of humanity toward becoming Level 1 Life Forms.”

”How do we leave the Solar System?”

”By developing technology, of course.”

Jiang Chen comforted Xue Yao.

After hearing this, Xue Yao also cheered up slightly.

”In that case, as a Level 2 Lifeform, do I also have an obligation to contribute to humanity’s collective push toward becoming Level 1 Life Forms?”

”Of course! Darling, you’re only eighty years old. To someone who lives to a thousand, you’re in the prime of your youth.”

Jiang Chen placed his hand on Xue Yao’s fragrant shoulder.

”Uh, prime of my youth?”

Xue Yao felt a bit embarrassed. ’Prime of youth’ usually refers to girls in their early teens; could she still be considered a girl in her early teens?

”To someone who lives to a thousand, yes.”

Jiang Chen smiled.

”Alright, thank you, Hubby.”

”No need for thanks. After we finish burning this, we’ll go see Xiao Ran.”

Jiang Xiaoran’s family was among his few relatives. Now that they had visited his parents-in-law, it was time to visit Jiang Xiaoran’s family.

So Jiang Chen asked.

”By the way, what is Xiao Ran doing now?”

Calculating by Xiao Ran’s age of approximately seventy, there was a high probability she wasn’t dead yet.

Xue Yao replied, ”She said she’s dead.”
