Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

206: Chapter 206 Shame and GloryIn the underground air-raid shelter.

Staff officers were tallying the losses of pilots.

In less than ten minutes, twenty pilots had exploded along with their fighter jets.

Half an hour later.

The casualties among the pilots sent out had already exceeded one thousand.

The air force’s combat effectiveness had been slashed by nearly 60%.

Although they could still deploy more air force units, it was no longer necessary.

”General, it is time to send the signal.”

After assessing the situation, the staff officers handed the report to Mr. Octagon.

The actual situation of this battle, just as the previous analysis report had predicted, would not last more than half an hour.

In fact!

That was indeed the case.

”Not a single Dragon Country fighter jet has been shot down?”

Mr. Octagon looked at the casualty statistics in the report and gasped!

The air forces of the two sides were simply not on the same level.

”According to satellite data, the Dragon Country’s aircraft have already exceeded Mach 10. Our fighter jets cannot catch up at all, and the same goes for our missiles; they cannot lock on.”

The staff officer shook his head and sighed.

Although they had anticipated this, actually facing it was far beyond their imagination.

In their estimates, although the United States would suffer a crushing defeat, they would at least cause some losses to the Dragon Country.

But now, not a single Xuan Nu had been shot down, which was far beyond their expectations.

”Speed, materials, control systems, mechs... we have been completely defeated on every front!”

”Sigh!”

General Octagon sighed, finally tossed the report aside, and said to the staff officer.

”Send a message to the Dragon God. I, Mr. Octagon, on behalf of the Pentagon and on behalf of the United States, surrender!”

”Yes!”

The staff officers immediately went to send the signal.

Meanwhile, inside the command room of the Dragon God in the air, Commander Li Jing was observing the skies above the Black Palace.

The skies above the Black Palace were already occupied by Xuan Nu and Xiao Long Fighter Jet.

With just one command from him.

He could level the Black Palace to the ground.

[In accordance with Resolution No. 10923, conduct a surgical air strike on the Black Palace.]

After Commander Li Jing finished speaking, hundreds of Xiao Long Fighter Jet and Xuan Nu launched a barrage of missiles at the Black Palace.

Boom, boom, boom!

The Black Palace erupted into flames and thick smoke.

Before long.

It was reduced to ruins upon ruins.

[Ammunition depleted! Requesting to return to base!]

After depleting their ammunition, the fighter jets returned one after another to the aircraft carrier decks and hangars.

As for the air-raid shelter, under such high temperatures, it had long since been baked through.

And just at this moment.

Commander Li Jing received a radio transmission from the Pentagon.

It was a surrender message.

Commander Li Jing sneered and relayed the message back to the country.

Back home, after discussions, they also ordered Commander Li Jing to withdraw the aircraft carrier.

The goal of the Dragon God was only to deal with the Black Palace.

As for the aftermath!

Other units would follow up.

And these other units were, naturally, the Sister Li.

After the Black Palace was bombed, the Sister Li, carried by ten thousand birds, successfully arrived at Alaska.

”What is that?”

”Oh my god!”

In Alaska, a city known as the gambling capital and a city that never sleeps, countless people looked up and saw an aircraft carrier in the sky; they were all stunned.

[I announce in the name of the Dragon Country that to prevent the spread of gamblers, Alaska is now under blockade.]

[Duration, indefinite!]

The Sister Li aircraft carrier fleet hovered over the entirety of Alaska.

During this time, some private planes and local air forces tried to fly up and resist.

The aircraft carrier didn’t need to intervene; those flying beasts, dozens of meters long, swooped down with a whistle, causing them to disintegrate in mid-air.

Some ports and airports tried to sneak people out, but a single missile would send them disintegrating in mid-air again.

After several deterrents, the entire Alaska was placed under lockdown, and no one dared to move again.

As the Sister Li blockaded Alaska, the Dragon God withdrew from the skies above the Black Palace.

The Dragon Soul aircraft carrier fleet chose to land in the Los Angeles area.

[Surrender location, Los Angeles.]

Commander Yan Luo, following orders, chose the Los Angeles area to accept the surrender ceremony from Mr. Octagon.

Half a day after the attack on Tiangong, they had first leveled the Black Palace, then seized control of the gambling city, and now they had even landed directly in Los Angeles, ready to accept the surrender.

This speed was so fast that global media outlets were still broadcasting the Dragon Country’s resolution one moment, and transitioning to the landing in Los Angeles the next.

[This... this is a crushing defeat!]

[Decades ago, the United States slapped the Middle East, making the world understand the power of the United States as a global hegemon.]

[Decades later, the Dragon Country slapped the United States, making the world understand who the current strongest power really is.]

[The Lighthouse has officially been swept into the dustbin of history.]

[The Great Dragon has completely awakened!]

The global public was shocked.

Previously, they only knew the Dragon Country was strong, but they had no idea that it was at a level of absolute crushing superiority in the military domain.

Now that the United States had taken a slap on behalf of other anti-Dragon countries around the world, global public opinion of the Dragon Country suddenly improved drastically.

[The United States has committed many evils and previously forced us to oppose the Dragon Country. To be honest, our country has long been unhappy with them. This slap was well-deserved!]

The leader of the Philippines publicly stated as much.

[We have been a vassal island of the Dragon Country since ancient times, just a little bit larger. Now we request to be returned to the Dragon Country!]

The mayor of Cherry Blossom Village publicly declared with an excited expression, looking as if he would fight anyone who tried to compete with him for it.

[Peacefully make kimchi and serve the Dragon Country.]

The mayor of Kimchi Town said with a Zen-like expression.

But he was referencing a portrait of Laozi, looking as if he had already attained the Dao and ascended to immortality.

[When it comes to cleaning, no one is our match!]

The mayor of Clean and Sanitary Village posted a photo on social media of the food he had scooped out with his hands at noon today, causing a group of men to experience unexplained morning sickness.

[I heard that the Dragon Country has thirty million bachelors. Coincidentally, our country has thirty million women. We apply to become a tributary state of the Dragon Country.]

A small Western Europe country issued a public application.

When the Dragon Country slapped the United States away, not a single country in the world condemned it; everyone scrambled to offer an olive branch.

Los Angeles.

Inside a magnificent office building.

This was originally the local municipal office of Los Angeles, but at this moment, a large number of Dragon Country mechs and Gene Warrior had already moved in to clear the venue for the surrender ceremony to be held tonight.

”General, the Lord of the Black Robe is lying in the ICU, life or death unknown. As for the person to sign...”

A staff officer asked anxiously.

It was supposed to be the Lord of the Black Robe who would surrender, but he was now unconscious.

Now, the only one with enough weight is General Octagon.

”Let’s go. Let me handle this job that will stink for ten thousand years.”

Mr. Octagon straightened his clothes, took off all his medals, and then calmly prepared to go out to surrender.

”General!”

A subordinate teared up.

Feeling that General Octagon had sacrificed himself, it was too tragic.

Mr. Octagon smiled slightly and said calmly and composedly.

”We are not a nation founded on ethnicity, but a nation founded on interests.”

”When there are sufficient interests, we resolutely defend the country’s interests, even if it means using nuclear weapons.”

”When the interests are insufficient, we can choose a better tree to perch on!”

”Therefore.”

”There is no need to shed tears.”

”Today may be a day of shame as the Lighthouse is swept into the dustbin of history.”

”But!”

”It is even more a glorious day for humanity to enter a brand new era.”
