Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Early the next morning, the vehicles from the Shenchu Corps arrived at West Martial.

The Military Department quickly completed the handover with Zhao Jiangtao.

A total of three martial artists.

Two Fifth-Grades, one Sixth-Grade.

For Su Yue’s safety, the Shenchu Corps even dispatched a Sixth-Grade Major General to prevent any accidents on the road.

Afterwards, Su Yue shouldered the Vermilion Extreme Cloud Platform and strapped on the Beast Selection Waist Bag, heading towards Shenchu City.

”Su Yue, did you really defeat the Peak Fifth-Grade?”

On the road, the Major General casually asked.

The two Fifth-Grades in front, and the one in the passenger seat, turned to listen to Su Yue’s insights.

”Just luck.

”Li Duozhi was injured on the battlefield, so he couldn’t exert his full strength.

”Moreover, I didn’t completely defeat him, I just had more elixirs than him and he couldn’t recover his Qi Blood. If using elixirs wasn’t allowed, who would win or lose is really uncertain.

”A Fifth-Grade Martial Artist isn’t that easy to defeat.”

Su Yue modestly said.

After all, a gap of over 2000 cards isn’t easily bridged.

”So that’s it, but Su Yue, you’re way too humble.

”You’re just starting your freshman year, almost new to martial arts, even battling to a draw is a miracle.

”We’ve studied Li Duozhi; he’s not an average Qi and Blood Martial Artist, a Peak Fifth-Grade, outstanding for his age!”

The commanding Fifth-Grade in the front sighed.

Su Yue observed silently, the Fifth-Grade Commander seemed visibly relieved.

It makes sense.

Li Duozhi represents a level among Fifth-Grade Martial Artists.

The post about defeating a Fifth-Grade has become a very popular topic, prominently displayed on the homepage, catching everyone’s attention.

Especially these Fifth-Grade Martial Artists, they would care even more about him.

Now that Su Yue admitted it was only a draw, these Fifth-Grades could be a bit more at ease.

After all, anyone would put themselves in the same position.

Like if a primary school student suddenly defeated a Fourth-Grade Martial Artist, Su Yue would unconsciously pay attention too.

Human nature, being humble doesn’t hurt.

”Just luck, just luck!”

Su Yue nodded again.

”Honestly, I don’t think it’s just luck. Li Duozhi is different from other Education Department martial artists. He often charges in battles with the Zhao Qi Corps, his battle experience, while not matching true legion martial artists, isn’t weak either.

”Before, we only considered you Prince Qing’s son; now, we must admit, you’ve surpassed him!”

The Major General nodded and smiled.

”No, not at all!”

With the Major General’s awkward praise, Su Yue was verbally humble, yet internally delighted.

Finally, he hadn’t embarrassed his father.

”Perhaps in three to four years, you could challenge the Grandmaster.

”You’re different, having undergone bone washing three times, there are no barriers when breaking through to Grandmaster.”

The Major General added.

”Well, we’ll see, my Qi Ring state is unusual, and my speed of Qi Blood cultivation is slower than others!

”Moreover, I’ve just broken through to Fourth-Grade, it’s still a long way to Grandmaster!”

Su Yue sighed.

He wasn’t sure how much Qi Blood this opportunity would raise.

”Don’t worry, this opportunity from Grand General Duan Yuandi is sure to satisfy you.”

The Major General nodded to Su Yue.

”Hmm, I hope so!”

Hearing these words, Su Yue finally felt at ease.

”But Su Yue, be mentally prepared, the few guarding Crown Temple Valley have somewhat peculiar tempers, but I think you’ll be fine!”

The Fifth-Grade in the front seemed a bit worried.

”No worries, I’m not afraid of hardships or fatigue!”

Su Yue suddenly felt a bit apprehensive again.

...

The vehicles arrived at Shenchu City.

They used a dedicated lane, but even so, had to go through layer upon layer of checks.

The walls of Shenchu City were unlike any other city, towering to an endless horizon, like a mountain pressure-black.

The wall enclosed the city in a chimney shape, shrouding it within.

The black surface of the wall had three large stark white characters, ’Shenchu City’.

Beneath the Shenchu City inscription, another line read:

”Repent to cleanse the soul, labor to reshape the self!”

This is a closed Prison City, and its vastness exceeded Su Yue’s expectations.

At several distant gates, vehicles from the Investigation and Arrest Bureau came and went.

On some special roads, there were also vehicles from the Military Department.

The Divine Land is vast, with the highest population in the world; with such a population base, the number of martial artists is also the highest worldwide.

Where there’s a large forest, various birds appear.

Similarly, occurrences disrupting martial order are commonplace.

Even within the Military Department, numerous offending martial artists are directly sent to Shenchu City, as Divine Land treats everyone equally.

Divine Land’s laws are clear on good and evil.

Merits are rewarded, crimes are penalized.

There’s almost no saying of offsetting merits with faults.

A martial artist with merit, if guilty, is still tried.

Meanwhile, a released martial artist achieving merit won’t face discrimination for their past from the Divine Land Military Department; accomplishments are rewarded similarly.

Many of the Military Department’s honorees were once criminals detained in Shenchu City.

Prisons have three purposes.

First, is punishment.

This is unequivocal.

Criminals face due punishments, Shenchu City is sunless, detainees are dispatched to the Swamp Realm for labor, even with fatal risk.

This is punishment.

Wrongdoings require actions beyond remorse to atone.

Second, is deterrence.

The horrors inside Shenchu City have never been concealed by Divine Land.

Sinister, murderous, dangerous, without freedom, no space, not even dignity or humanity.
