Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

”Hey, where’s that rapper from your Dongwu?

Brother Xiaosu, I’m almost falling asleep. I need to beat him once with freestyle.”

Seeing the atmosphere getting a bit tense, Su Yue quickly changed the topic.

”He’s in the Wet Realm, when he comes back next time, you guys can chat more about singing, dancing, and basketball. Just rapping is a bit dull.

By the way, you can also eat big bowls of wide noodles together.”

Feng Jiajia gave a half-smile.

Su Yue shook his head, looking rather wistful.

It’s obvious, in Dongwu, our rap crew isn’t that popular.

When the chance comes, I have to dunk on you guys.

...

The conference begins!

Mu Cheng and the others, as guests from another school, sat in the front row of the VIP seats, very close to the Grandmaster.

Of course, only guests from the four major Martial Arts Academies could sit in the front row, while other guests from Martial Academy A and B had to sit further back. In fact, in Martial Academy B, many attendees were not students, but teachers participating directly.

No choice.

Compared to students from the four major Martial Arts Academies, Martial Academy B fell short from top to bottom.

Freshmen students, one by one, are already third rank.

And this Su Yue is even more terrifying; he directly advanced to fourth rank as a freshman. Some teachers at Martial Academy B don’t even understand the significance of Qi Suppression Ring.

They just feel that Su Yue is too terrifying.

With Su Yue’s current capabilities, he is fully qualified to be the dean of Martial Academy B.

If they understood the direct significance of the Qi Suppression Ring, Su Yue would directly become vice-principal, even challenging the principal’s position.

Such a prodigy shouldn’t even exist among humans.

As for Su Yue’s place... sorry.

He’s on the podium, sitting next to the Grandmaster. In front of Su Yue, on the table, there’s a name card with his name.

A triangle-shaped, upright name card, exclusive for the leader.

Sitting securely on the podium, overlooking peers, with Principal Dongwu and other school leaders beside him.

Feeling wistful inside.

Truly.

Apart from being wistful, there’s only being wistful left.

Am I proud of how successful I, Su Yue, have become? Have I become arrogant?

Perhaps just a bit.

But Su Yue also doesn’t let himself lose control. The retired Grandmaster’s lecture was equally full of substance.

Studying is an endless journey, sailing as a bitter journey.

Su Yue carefully listened to the retired Grandmaster’s sharing, and he truly benefited immensely.

This Grandmaster, with white hair, is already over 100 years old.

In the previous era, as a Martial Artist, he participated in countless brutal battles, having a unique insight into the Eight Tribes of Wet Realm.

Every era has its own characteristics.

Centuries ago, human Martial Artists were like guerillas; surviving meant victory.

Wars then mostly focused on harassment and survival.

In the previous era, humans gradually began to counterattack, but it was still on Earth’s soil. Although martial artists also ventured into the Wet Realm to fight, their experience was scarce.

In the 27th century era, the Divine Land thoroughly tore open the era of Wet Realm combat.

Su Yue’s generation, even the previous generation of martial artists, are all trying to adapt to the Wet Realm gradually.

After all, each era faces different environments.

In recent years, the Research Institute’s focus has gradually shifted from building urban defenses to Wet Realm Fortress construction.

Some weapons and equipment adapted to Wet Realm combat are also gradually emerging.

Recently, the global release of the Frost Vine Armor by the Divine Land is the most suitable protective gear for this era.

Centuries ago, Frost Vine Armor wasn’t completely useless, but it wasn’t competed for by other nations either.

Low-level martial artists found it hard to fight in the Wet Realm, engaging in earthly battles without being eroded by Spiritual Qi, there were many armor types better than Frost Vine Armor.

Now, even low-level martial artists ask about corrosion resistance when buying things.

This was unimaginable before.

The retired Grandmaster narrated the content of how, if alien races attacked human cities, martial artists should conduct urban warfare, how to save civilians as much as possible, reduce human casualties, and even, how to utilize urban resources to survive perils.

Some survival knowledge is passed down among martial artists, not commonly found in textbooks.

Su Yue remembered some particularly interesting points.

For instance, if you want to scare an alien and gain a few extra seconds to escape, mimicking a throat-slitting action doesn’t work, it might even excite them.

But if you gouge your own eyes or prick your ear with a needle, the aliens clearly hesitate momentarily.

Su Yue imagined it.

This little trick really works. If a Yangxiang Race slits their throat in front of him, Su Yue might show no expression, even think it’s funny.

But if the alien uses a wooden skewer to jab their own ear, Su Yue would definitely hesitate, even feel his own ear ache.

Su Yue couldn’t quite understand the principle, maybe it triggered a certain survival instinct.

Throat-slitting is standard battlefield operation any martial artist becomes numb to, thus it causes no stimulating effect.

But ear piercing or eye gouging can cause the opponent to experience sympathy.

In ordinary people, poking one’s ear is also a way to scare aggressors.

If a woman is threatened by a thug, screaming might not help, but if she decisively pokes her own ears, the thug might get so scared he imagines the pain in his own ears.

The Elder Grandmaster had a talent for storytelling, even without a partner in banter.

He vividly described city street battles from back in the day, and the students couldn’t help but immerse themselves into the scene.

Watching the entranced students, Principal Dongwu nodded with satisfaction.

He invited this Elder Grandmaster for this very purpose.
