Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Returning to West Martial, the first thing Su Yue did was go to Sima Lingling’s villa.

He needed to explain the recent issue; otherwise, the mentor might be quite upset.

Upon arriving at the villa, Su Yue unexpectedly saw Ma Xiaoyu practicing in the yard, looking particularly diligent, with sweat pouring down his face, which was quite different from Ma Xiaoyu’s usual style.

”Hey, Senior Brother, you’re back?”

Seeing Su Yue, Ma Xiaoyu was taken aback. The surprise was so intense that it made her voice crack.

Excited!

Recently, Ma Xiaoyu had been forced by Sima Lingling to train, and it had been quite difficult.

Due to the planned demolition of You’an Mansion, many supportive Martial Artists frequently visited Sima Lingling’s villa.

After all, the villa was spacious; having people move in was fine, and West Martial wouldn’t interfere.

The other guests were okay, although they were a bit older, spending their time drinking tea or playing chess. Even when encountering them face-to-face, they’d praise with official compliments like cute, beautiful, promising future, and such.

Except for one, Lu Xiliang, a Master.

This person was too troublesome and immediately started to coach her harshly.

It was so tiring.

Having been used to comfort, Ma Xiaoyu couldn’t endure Lu Xiliang’s torturous training.

What’s worse, Lu Xiliang scared Ma Xiaoyu.

He said he was originally from Xiangxi, where everyone in the village knew how to drive corpses and there were quite a few zombies hidden in his home.

Lu Xiliang even brought a pile of zombie movies:

”Mr. Vampire”, ”Corpse Bride”, ”Zombie Family”, and many more.

Although some parts were humorous, they were indeed frightening.

Lu Xiliang said he could control zombies and threatened to throw her into a pile of them if she disobeyed.

Ma Xiaoyu was truly scared.

”Hmm!”

Su Yue nodded.

”Senior Brother, I’m so aggrieved.”

Without another word, Ma Xiaoyu dashed over, though she only pinched Su Yue’s arm and didn’t dare hug him.

Ma Xiaoyu was timid, so she was afraid of Mu Cheng.

”Aggrieved? You seem in good condition, with progress in your Qi Blood. What’s there to feel aggrieved about?”

Su Yue was puzzled.

”At the mentor’s villa, there are retired supportive experts visiting, but among them is Master Lu Xiliang, who always forces me to train.

”He even scares me by saying he knows how to drive corpses, the kind that stick talismans on the forehead. Do you know how terrifying that is?”

Ma Xiaoyu felt full of grievances without any outlet.

It’s so miserable.

”If you’re told to train, you should be diligent; don’t slack... What, you said Master Lu Xiliang is at West Martial?”

Su Yue comforted Ma Xiaoyu a bit, then asked with a stern expression.

”Yes.”

Seeing Su Yue’s concerned look, Ma Xiaoyu nodded.

”He... he admitted it?”

Su Yue swallowed hard.

Without knowing why, Su Yue suddenly felt the air turned cold.

Not the kind of cold from low temperatures, but more like the coldness of hell.

Su Yue didn’t understand what hellish temperature was, but he just felt cold.

”Admit what?”

Ma Xiaoyu was confused by the question.

”Admit he can drive corpses.”

Su Yue confirmed again.

”Yes.

”He even showed me a bunch of zombie movies, various zombies jumping around, exposed fangs, with talismans on their foreheads. So scary!”

Ma Xiaoyu immediately complained, trying to have Su Yue stand up for her.

”Master, oh Master, do you still dare claim you can’t drive corpses?

”You’ve deceived me so bitterly.”

Su Yue’s scalp felt numb.

Recalling that night in the mortuary, Su Yue felt a bit scared and planned to find a Daoist master to conduct an exorcism.

”Senior Brother, you don’t look too well.”

Ma Xiaoyu suddenly said.

”Is Master Lu Xiliang at West Martial?”

Su Yue asked.

”No, but I don’t know when he’ll be back, and I’m afraid he might bring zombies.”

Ma Xiaoyu scratched her head.

”Junior Sister, take care.”

Su Yue patted Ma Xiaoyu’s shoulder, planning to say farewell to Sima Lingling and head straight to Shenchu City.

This West Martial isn’t peaceful at all.

Not just Ma Xiaoyu; I also fear Lu Xiliang.

Su Yue had a childhood trauma from watching zombie movies and was particularly afraid of these things.

”Senior Brother, can’t you help me fight zombies?”

Ma Xiaoyu looked at Su Yue eagerly, her emotions clear: Senior Brother, I’m counting on you for my whole life.

”I’m no pea shooter; how would I dare fight zombies? I’m only good at defeating a few alien races.”

Su Yue sighed.

He’d rather fight alien races than face zombies.

”Senior Brother, you defeated Li Duozhi; you’re the War God of our support group. The girls in our group are ready to remain widows for life because of you, yet you’re afraid of zombies?”

Ma Xiaoyu finally understood why Su Yue’s face was pale.

Senior Brother was even afraid of zombies.

That’s unheard of.

Concerning Su Yue’s victory over Li Duozhi, the news had already made waves on the Martial Arts Network forum.

The most authoritative post is still pinned on the Martial Arts Network homepage, maintaining the top spot with the highest popularity, overshadowing the second-ranking gossip about Meng Yang and Bai Xiaolong’s romantic affair.

”Alas, my image is collapsing too. Honestly, I’m most afraid of zombies in my life.”

Su Yue sighed.

What could I do, a childhood trauma.

”Alas, what should I do then? Tomorrow I’ll find a Daoist for a talisman, and buy a Peach Wood Sword and Eight Trigrams Mirror.

”Senior Brother, want any? I’ll buy you a set too.”

Ma Xiaoyu asked.

”Has it been blessed? Never mind!”

Su Yue shook his head.

He didn’t trust these tools, preferring to go to Shenchu City to lay low.

West Martial isn’t peaceful.

”Junior Sister, I’ll have a word with the mentor, you continue your training, be careful not to get bitten by zombies.”

Su Yue tightened his collar.

He felt the eerie wind blowing into it.
