Bear School Astartes

In the following days, Lann maintained his morning exercises, mastering the Eastern martial arts techniques he brought from Iwami Country.

The ”Immortal Peak Temple Fist Techniques” made rapid progress under his continuous practice, leading to a significant improvement in his body flexibility and precision of movements.

Before, his muscle structure was strong and solid, but with the natural development following the implantation of the gene seed and the ”second heart,” he was almost unable to clasp his hands behind his back.

However, after practicing the fist techniques of Immortal Peak Temple, which include movements similar to yoga, it greatly enhanced his bodily capabilities.

He had also mastered the technique of using limbs to create air hammers. Only the recorded move ”Immortal Peak Bodhisattva Kick” remained... According to the descriptions, it’s surprisingly similar to Iwami Yixin’s ”No Mind Style,” a move that naturally evolves after understanding the concepts transparently.

It changes according to personal insights and habits.

He hasn’t practiced enough yet to make this move his own version.

But it’s worth noting, after practicing this set of fist techniques, Lann feels that the leader of the Lonely Shadow Group might be a secular monk from the Immortal Peak Temple. The physical techniques of the Lonely Shadow Group overlap too much with the prerequisite move of ”Immortal Peak Bodhisattva Kick,” the ”Immortal Peak Kick.”

In the afternoon, Lann would immerse himself in the library of Airetusa. He continued researching the knowledge of the crystal cultivation project.

Although there was already a growth agent refined from the dragon bones of Alia’s World, and this kind of refining yield was considerable.

However, with Lann’s interstellar-level biochemical knowledge perspective, he knew this was a ’shortcut’ taken advantage of by magical means.

To completely conquer the ’reproliferation of highly differentiated cell tissues,’ he must delve deeper into the human mechanism and biochemical knowledge.

This is not only for better preparing to conduct interstellar warrior enhancement surgery in the future but also for accumulating normal knowledge that could be used to tackle the Mentos permission unlocking exam in the process of abandoning magical practices.

The biological intelligence brain is now increasingly strained as Lann establishes more projects, like the analysis of ”Secret Transmission: Yixin,” data simulation during research, and ever more complex physiological state monitoring... The computational power of Mentos is nearing its limit under the current permissions.

Lann knew that to improve his level of intelligence, unlocking the permissions of the intelligence brain was something he inevitably had to face.

...And to be honest, the ’knowledge level — primary school student’ label still hanging on the human-computer interaction interface of Mentos seemed super glaring to Lann.

Margaret has been spending more time with Tishaya these days, and Lann didn’t know what they were busy with.

Only at night would this Magic Academy headmistress return to her room to absorb good mood and ’energy’ from Lann.

The Demon Hunter once asked what was it that made her and Tishaya so busy.

She answered like this.

”I can’t tell you, dear Lann.” she said lazily while stretching her body submerged in the bath, facing the man standing by the tub.

”It’s an internal management issue of the academy. If I tell you, then it’s not about negotiating a solution, but about coercion, you understand?”

”Even though those people oppose me, our relationships are still those of colleagues and partners, people whose interests are aligned and who work together, we cannot simply and crudely treat them as we would enemies.”

”So, just leave it to Tishaya and me, don’t interfere. Okay?”

Lann nodded understandingly, no one can anticipate how big a deal it is to handle an internal management issue of a giant organization before doing it themselves.

The memories of the Sons of the Emperor gave him insight in this regard, so when Margaret, as a leader, told him not to interfere, he better accepted her advice.

”Oh, by the way!”

In the mahogany tub, steam rose from the hot water. Margaret’s body was submerged in the hot water, only her head and two round, white ’mounds’ visible above the surface.

Her hand emerged from the water, resting on the edge of the mahogany tub, wet and smooth.

”You mentioned wanting to find an old Demon Hunter named ’Vesemir,’ right?”

Lann, intrigued by the remark, raised an eyebrow and sat on the seat of Margaret’s dressing table.

This esteemed Female Warlock prided herself on her looks and figure, she would always redo her makeup after Lann messed it up amid chaotic antics, right after her bath.

So, the dressing table was set not far from the tub.

One of the great pleasures of Demon Hunters is soaking in the bath, watching Margaret’s seated silhouette at the dressing table.

”Yes, I’m looking for him. However, you know, I don’t have many friends, and they’re not widespread either.”

”You’re still too young; building connections requires a long period of time. So, I had the academy people keep an eye out for you earlier, and now we have a response.”

”Tsk, it’s troublesome to have a big spread, but it sure gets things done.” Lann clicked his tongue and sighed.

”What’s his current status? I told Belengar I wanted to receive more systematic knowledge training for Demon Hunters, and he said without this individual’s consent, Ker Morhan wouldn’t accept me.”

”Our alumni serving as Royal Advisors in Brugge, Fanier told me this old Demon Hunter with a red nose was summoned to the palace by King Venceslav recently, and was assigned some kind of mission.”

”’What kind of mission?’ The Royal Advisor is this vague?”

”Come on, Lann!” The golden-haired beauty in the tub rolled her eyes at Lann.

”Do you really think the Female Warlocks, every one of them, would focus their attention on a Demon Hunter? Especially when he’s both old and has a red nose. Fanier’s busy enough vying for power and position in the palace, she wouldn’t have time to care whether a Demon Hunter went to Brugge to deal with a griffon preying on farmers’ livestock or to cleanse the royal tomb of a Demon Spirit.”

Lann raised his hand, smiling as he signaled his surrender.

”Alright, alright, I deeply understand how precious and rare the favor of the esteemed Lady Margarita is.”

”As long as you understand.” The Female Warlock’s braided golden hair had a strand fall onto her long, white neck as she shook her head in pride.

”Early tomorrow morning, Bopai will saddle the horse and pack the saddlebags, so you can go and get a recommendation letter from your Demon Hunter Grandmaster.”

”Why do I feel like you’re urging me to leave quickly?”

Lann tilted his head, somewhat puzzled.

He felt he had been performing well during this period, no matter the occasion...

Margaret turned her head to gaze at his face, making a gloomy ghost face.

”I am indeed rushing you to leave. Remember Molly, right?”

”The apprentice who came in the morning using levitation magic to clean your room? Hey! I’ve only had a few encounters with her! It’s not my fault she wanted my discarded clothes!”

”Hehe.”

The Female Warlock smiled insincerely.

”Anyway, before these little Green Pool girls can control themselves, quickly get lost for me! Surely you wouldn’t want to test your magic resistance by physically enduring an Enchantment Spell, right? The apprentices are quite good at this move.”

Faced with the Mentos already gathering a phantom-like pink magic power in her hands, Lann indicated he was always willing to follow the wise course of action.
