Undying Slash?

That’s it! In this temple, there is a blade specifically made to slay the undead! It must be more precise and effective than the sword oil Lann brought from the Southern Barbarians.

With that thing, they can kill the three Undying Insects on the Immortal Peak Master’s body!

Under Lann’s calmness, Black Conical Hat Li also regained some composure from his panic.

But then again, his deformed face clenched its teeth once more.

To find the Undying Slash, of course, is the only feasible method in the current situation. But...

After withdrawing, can the remaining three still hold on?

Even Black Conical Hat Li himself doesn’t think much of his own combat strength.

After all, among the four people, his combat strength is the weakest.

But the situation now is so precarious it’s like walking on thin ice.

Iwami Yixin, with his frail body, has already begun to gasp. Even though he uses his martial skill to force his tired body to not falter in strength.

But an ordinary old man, after all, cannot outlast the undead.

The Eight Hundred Nuns can be temporarily held back by Lann and Iwami Yixin, but how should the three much more formidable Undying Insects on the Immortal Peak Master’s body be dealt with?

Old Robert, who was with him just now, barely managed to prevent them from supporting the head of Immortal Peak Temple amid the perilous situation.

And his retreat... would the already pressured four-against-two situation instantly collapse?

With chaotic thoughts filling his mind, cold sweat broke out on Black Conical Hat Li’s scalp.

If only he were to die, he actually wouldn’t mind much.

This life, after his son Tianji died of illness, was already something of little importance to him.

But it’s not just him here, there are others who suffered, good people! His death wouldn’t matter, but if these people died with him because of him...

”Stop overthinking! Black Conical Hat!”

His eyes tense, still holding back an Undying Insect, the yet-to-move Ninja snapped out with a shout.

Lann was still dealing with the massive and illusory figure of the Eight Hundred Nuns.

He didn’t even have time to turn his head, but his tone remained calm and poised. As if what they were discussing wasn’t life or death, just a question on paper.

That tone even made Black Conical Hat Li feel a sense of absurdity, a sense of elegance in a frantic situation.

”Without the Undying Slash, we all die. So no matter what, you have to find it now! Go!”

The face under Black Conical Hat Li’s hat was first stunned, then he bit his lip.

”Got it... Hold on! I’ll be right back!”

No need for more words, Old Robert, who was also restraining the three Undying Insects of the Immortal Peak Master, naturally blocked the silhouette of Black Conical Hat Li darting away.

A massive sword swung with fierce gusts without any technique.

A short burst kept the three Undying Insects too occupied to attack Black Conical Hat Li’s back.

The Immortal Peak Master could only rely on Old Robert to hold the line.

Because the Eight Hundred Nuns are truly hard to deal with now.

The head of Immortal Peak Temple, who has lived for who knows how long, her Long Glaive’s attack power and range surpassed that of any ordinary Undying Insect.

And her expertise in [Light Body Skill] that allows long-time hovering in the air makes her threat level far surpass the Immortal Peak Master.

”Clang!!!”*5

A sequence of five loud clashes of steel ringing out, accompanied by circle-shaped sparks bursting with sound.

Lann, wielding the Lady of the Lake’s Sword, tried his best to fend off the attacks. Yet under the leverage advantage of the long weapon and particularly strong swings, he was inevitably knocked horizontally across the floor.

The sharpness and resilience of the Lady of the Lake’s Sword are always reliable, but against this kind of enemy, its size, weight, and construction hindered Lann’s performance.

The hand-and-a-half sword suited to a human grip holds no advantage against colossal enemies and weapons!

The Eight Hundred Nuns’ Long Glaive technique moved in arcs like theatrical movements, making circle after circle. Just now she completed five spins.

Each spin, the Long Glaive in her hands carved a noticeably unusual air density zone in the air.

Lann’s Swordsmanship was stable and precise. He accurately tackled and parried with [Climbing Koi], dissipating force with [Flowing Water], exhibiting the essence of the Iwami style fluidly. Yet under these exaggerated slashes, he was pushed back directly.

In the end, he had to plunge the blade of Aron Dite into the floor to prevent himself from being pushed too far.

But it didn’t matter... He achieved his goal of enduring those five consecutive strikes head-on.

”Your swordplay is quite beautiful, nearly on par with a friend of mine, but... your incessant bouncing is infuriating!”

An aged but powerful voice shouted, with the Golden Iron Dragon-Slaying Blade carving chilling white arcs through the air.

Iwami Yixin’s swordsmanship isn’t something easily paralleled just through time.

The aged arms made the blade carve beautiful arcs, and the Eight Hundred Nuns’ power and weapon advantages were suppressed under markedly superior technique.

She couldn’t swing wildly, nor use force to push people away.

Iwami Yixin was like a living stream of water, scattering without form under attacks, transforming into a high-pressure water blade when striking.

For all the sharpness of the Long Glaive, he could escape the attack with a slight shift of his foot and sidestep. Less than ten centimeters of movement could effortlessly evade the attack.

Iwami Yixin was already panting, yet he could still make his swings powerful and effective.

The Eight Hundred Nuns could easily kill him; just using her [Light Body Skill] to keep up with the Sword Saint would suffice.

As she lifted lightly, she could leap over twenty meters without effort.

Iwami Yixin would soon be dragged to death by her.

And Lann’s role was to eliminate this possibility.

The Demon Hunter knew well that his Swordsmanship was far behind the elderly Sword Saint. But he could suppress the Eight Hundred Nuns’ movement within Iwami Yixin’s vicinity.

During her previous five consecutive spinning slashes, Lann could have easily dodged had he wanted to. But in order to maintain her in position for Iwami Yixin to act, he stood his ground and took the hits.

In the midst of the battle, Lann took a brief glance towards the Immortal Peak Master’s direction.

The master with a short blade embedded in his head recited Buddhist scriptures, praying for everyone. But the Undying Insects protruding from his back were writhing chaotically, threatening lives.

Old Robert was furiously roaring, his massive sword thrashing and hacking.

The centipedes sometimes failed to dodge and got hit, but even after their bodily fluids erupted from their chitin shells, they quickly returned to agility as if nothing had happened.

It seemed as if Old Robert had managed to restrain the three Undying Insects, but Lann sensed... under that European armor, he too was starting to breathe heavily.

Suddenly, a melodious bell sound echoed soothingly from deep within everyone.

A Buddhist Temple Bell that emitted a crystal-clear and pure sound.

Lann didn’t know what this bell sound signified, but after it, the Eight Hundred Nuns’ moves became noticeably more lethal!

Black Conical Hat Li found the key hidden within the grand hall.

The bell sound was cryptic, but it suggested... the Undying Slash was near!

And until the ’blade that slays the undead’ was in hand, they had to endure the increasingly severe pressure from their opponents.
