Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Chapter 441: Two on One

The Arena Master’s call ended with Nikolai putting down his phone with a long sigh. He watched Ryan with bright red cheeks, speaking on the phone to his Lamia Queen on the other side of the room.

Before he realised, Leona slipped into the room and sat beside him with a fresh pot of coffee and some sweet snacks and pastries from the bakery downstairs. ”I thought you might need a boost, honey.”

”Leona, what would I do without you?”

She huffed and elbowed him, ”You’d just run to Anya or another woman, right?”

”Haha...” She knew Nikolai too well, and he could only laugh nervously, shifting his hips to lean closer to his jealous wife. ”No way, you’re my only maid wife.”

”Hmmmmph~ well, you’re just lucky I am a foolish woman who loves her master.”

”Oh, I am, but don’t forget a loving husband who worships his head maid.”

”You’re so corny!” Leona huffed while placing her head against his shoulder. ”What did they want from you?” Her tail slapped his thigh, and the orange fluff then stroked his leg.

”Well...” Nikolai brushed her smooth cheek, showing a bitter smile. ”I will be fighting a two on one match tonight, for tripple the pay and boost in the rankings.”

”...Eh? Two on one... but, honey!?”

”Shhh,” he pressed his finger against her soft lips. ”It’ll be fine, they are both Mature fighters. I have no choice but to take the fight.” He squshied her lips, the sticky sensation from her gloss smearing as she sucked on the tip of his thumb. The hot breath made his chest pound.

”Nikolai, I am worried...” Leona muttered with a sulking tone, taking another sip from her latte and pouting.

”Really? How worried... why don’t you kiss me better now.”

Leona blushed and turned to face him. She brushed the back of his head, slipping her fingers through his hair while biting her lower lip. ”If master asks so kindly...”

”Ugh.... it hurts...” Anya’s voice came from the sofa beside them; she lay in a position that could hardly be called lady-like or comfortable for others.

Anya propped her legs against the armrest as her head hung off the edge. She looked like she was about to fall, but seemed fine as she rolled to her side. Her cunning lips curled into a smirk as she ruined the moment.

”Why do you two keep flirting without me?”

”A-Anya... I forgot.” Leona muttered while pulling away.

”You forgot? Poor thing, how mean of my sister to forget about little Anya...” She pouted, turning onto her front with an annoyed grunt. The vampiress huffed when Nikolai glanced at her, and then she pulled back, pretending not to have been listening.

However, as he leaned over Leona, her body began to fidget.

”Well tonight I will go alone, so can you take care of each other tonight?” He asked Anya, while stroking Leona’s back, before leaning close to her ear and whispering. ”This time, when i’m all hot and bothered... and about to enter a frenzy I’ll come find you, so wear something sexy.”

”N-Nikolai! You pervert!”

Leona slapped his arm with red cheeks; it seemed her jealousy was abating for now, but then she hummed happily, and in a quiet mosquito voice. ”I’ll make you addicted to me, husband.”

I look forward to that...

Ryan POV

***

Ryan leaned back on the sofa with his eyes closed while sipping a chilled glass of cold brew coffee that Leona prepared for him.

”I’m fucked.”

His eyes widened the moment he sipped the dark nectar. ”This is great!?”

The woman on the phone spoke to him with a sharp, arrogant tone, but whenever she whispered in her deep, husky voice. He just couldn’t go against her... Am I a pervert? He wondered as the Lamia ordered him around.

”You will do as I say, or else...”

”Or else?” His voice trembled when he answered.

Despite only spending a single night together. There was no doubt about it, but she was a Queen-type, and although he managed to satisfy her. It wasn’t enough to dominate or change their current sitaution.

She wants me to meet her again tonight, but I promised to support Nikolai.

”Nikolai is...”

Ryan watched as his best friend flirted with a pretty demi-human maid with fluffy ears, while the third daughter of the Tepes clan lay like a slob with a completely blissful expression.

This guy is so lucky.

Should I ask for some tips?

Although Ryan dated a lot of women during college and training in the SSS, after meeting Lamia, he realised his skills weren’t special. He fired his first shot in seconds, then... for hours suffered at her skilled hands.

It was so bad that I’d almost shot my load six times before I got inside her... damn it!

”Oh, Ryan, you done?”

”Niko? Sorry about tonight...”

He didn’t want to let his brother down again. Clara looked so happy since coming here and staying in this safe apartment with Nikolai around made Ryan feel at ease. However, he had already promised to meet the Lamia in her private home.

”Did she call you for a date?”

A date... I wish she had just asked me to sleep with her all night.

”Yeah, something like that... sorry, about tonights fight?”

”It’s fine, I’ll go alone since it’s a Two on One fight, I needed to focus anyway.”

Why did Nikolai never shout or punish me?

He never complained in the past, and even after we both changed.

He accepted my pathetic attempts to make up even after I insulted his wives.

Nikolai just smiled back while hugging Leona. He didn’t show a sign of anger. ”I’ll leave Leo and Anya here to keep Clara safe tonight then.”

His reaction was calm and without issues.

”Thank you... Sorry.”

I should have put him first instead of letting that woman get to me... but I’ve never felt this way before.

Nikolai POV

***

After Ryan left to meet his date, he wore one of Nikolai’s spare suits, though it looked a little loose because his muscles were much smaller than Nikolai’s.

The moment he left, Clara seemed to grow more excited that her brother went on a second date with a woman.

”He’s never been like this before!”

She sat down at the table and told Leona and Anya everything that had happened before coming here. About Ryan’s previous lovers and girlfriends who never affected him in such way. ”It must be someone amazing, right!?” She was excited and seemed happy that her brother was enjoying himself for once.

”It’s that woman from the VIP bar, the Lamia.” Nikolai corrected her.

”Eh!? But I thought she looked at you?”

Clara pointed out while munching on some popcorn.

Anya sat on the opposite side of the sofa, wearing one of Leona’s white shirts and a pair of shorts with bunny slippers.

Since Ryan left, the atmosphere became comfier as the girls decided to order pizza and watch movies together. It was a strange feeling for Nikolai and something he envied.

Tonight I will fight and they will relax...

Although Nikolai felt relieved, because it meant that Leona and the others would be safe, he also needed to get his head in the game, preparing himself to fight.

”No~ she looked at me like an opponent, but her type is men like your brother.” Nikolai couldn’t help but try to avoid the sharp gaze of Leona and Anya when he spoke about the Lamia.

Somehow, their piercing eyes made him feel guilty.

”I see, but she’s a little...” Clara paused, glancing at the girls who showed her curious looks.

”A little?” Anya continued, while chomping into another slice of pepperoni pizza.

Clara tilted her head while tapping her lips, a cute habit which was similar to Ryan’s, who would tap his chin. ”She’s quite old... I guess?”

”...”

Nikolai couldn’t help but laugh, ”Haha...” He forgot that, despite being a fairy, both Ryan and Clara were technically still normal humans, so they don’t understand the sense of time for monsters. The Lamia was certainly in her early forties, but their race lives for hundreds of years and only matures at thirty.

”Well certaintly...”

”Darling... are you saying I’m old?”

Leona... a woman with werewolf blood at the prime age of sixty, glared at him with a dark aura as she lifted a can of soda to her lips, but the way her fangs poked out made him nervous.

He also made this mistake with Amphitrite and Nagisa quite often, to think that Nagisa was older than his dad... and that meant his mother was older too!

”Ah, sorry I didn’t mean it like that! You are so youthful and pretty, my wife!”

Leona lifted her lips while poking him with her foot.

The room filled with laughter as Nikolai sat on the floor, between three beautiful women who teased him.

Honestly, Nikolai wanted to stay here longer... but he needed to go.

Tonight, he would fight two mature-level monsters.
