Chapter 1013: Chapter 57: Where in the World Is the Path to Becoming an Immortal? (19)

Magic Capital, an airport.

Even at night, the airport remained exceptionally crowded.

Especially since a homemade bomb incident occurred in the airport a couple of days ago, and the culprit unfortunately fell to his death during capture, security checks have become much more stringent over the past two days.

Flight arrivals from overseas had to creep slowly on the runway, and passengers who had safely landed were bored for nearly twenty minutes after unlocking their seatbelts.

The first-class cabin was entirely booked out.

For the flight attendants, the guests in first class seemed to have great potential… especially a young man named Suzuki Haruxin.

Like a cold-hearted president from a Japanese drama, this wealthy individual directly booked the entire first and business class, the ultimate goal for many of the hard-working flight attendant ladies.

Indeed, the young man who had written the name ‘Haruxin Suzuki’ on the passenger list had qualities that many women found attractive.

There’s a feeling like, no matter how poor and plain the person might be, one still wants to make a mark in youth.

Of course, another person accompanying Suzuki Haruxin, an older man named Suzuki Yuuichi, seemed to be within consideration as well — not many elderly people possess such a robust physique as Mr. Suzuki Yuuichi.

Another advantage is that Mr. Suzuki Yuuichi is already sixty years old… if he unfortunately passed away in a few years, as a widow, one might receive a considerable inheritance?

Actually, there was a third passenger in the first class.

But for the flight attendants, even though they maintained professional enthusiasm, there wasn’t much interest— because this third passenger seemed to spend the whole journey smiling apologetically at the Suzuki father and son, leaving nothing noteworthy.

His name was Mu Xianghua, and he seemed to be a Japanese national of Chinese descent.

Throughout the journey, the Suzuki father and son appeared uninterested in the flight attendants constantly moving about — leaving the attendants no choice but to give up.

Since the next opportunity might never come… they were just passing through for an hour or a few hours at most, and if nothing happened, they would drift apart for life. Accordingly, the attendant sensibly refrained from further interruptions and enthusiastic service, simply performing her regular duties.

“Young Master Haruxin, that stewardess seemed quite interested in you earlier, do you need me to lend a hand? I know several executives from this airline,” Mu Xianghua said with a smiling face, looking at Suzuki Haruxin.

The Suzuki family was a powerful force in the Kanto Region of the island nation, not only having its office and company but also a strong faction, the Suzuki-kai. Thus, they were not the kind of people you offend easily, but could be worthy of support — especially Suzuki Haruxin, clearly the future successor of the Suzuki family.

However, it’s heard that before Suzuki Haruxin, there was another named Suzuki Natsuya, but for some unknown reason, last month, the head of the Suzuki family, Suzuki Yuuichi, unexpectedly announced that all his inheritance would be passed on to his second son, Suzuki Haruxin.

But Mu Xianghua didn’t care about these things. For him, it didn’t matter who would take over the Suzuki family in the future — what mattered was the potential to become friends with the Suzuki family.

Although his trip with the Suzuki father and son was due to instructions from his boss, the Takizawa Family, Mu Xianghua hadn’t received any new orders from them recently, so he had to follow the latest directive and followed the Suzuki father and son.

Not long ago, leveraging his identity as an overseas Chinese, Mu Xianghua acted as an intermediary agent under the direction of the Takizawa Family, using an ancient map to contact a certain tomb-robbing family in Hua Country for a secret discussion. It was only in the past couple of days that the cooperation content was finalized — thus he accompanied the Suzuki father and son on a flight to Hua Country.

“Don’t engage in unnecessary acts. We didn’t come here for a vacation,” ‘Suzuki Haruxin’ coldly glanced at Mu Xianghua.

“Yes, yes, Young Master Haruxin.”

A sharp gaze gave Mu Xianghua a feeling as though he was being watched by a venomous snake. He instinctively shrank his neck, feeling as if the air had suddenly turned colder.

As for Suzuki Yuuichi next to him, he hadn’t opened his eyes all along.

The journey was so silent the Suzuki father and son did not exchange a word, which gave Mu Xianghua an indescribable strange feeling.

However, Mu Xianghua was unaware that the Suzuki ‘father and son’ were not without communication but were using a form that he couldn’t comprehend.

Let’s call this method a ‘spiritual connection’… a mental exchange.

“I say, Elder Brother Lian Zhen, why does this fat pig think I’d be interested in those common powders and rouge?”

“Don’t disturb me; I’m trying my best to adapt to this body… Hmph, truly troublesome, why did I ever agree to your picking Suzuki Yuuichi?”

“There was no choice, was there? Elder Brother Lian Zhen, you see, at the Takizawa Family estate, although Suzuki Yuuichi survived, he was left paralyzed and immobile. Yet the entire Suzuki family still obeys him… if you don’t temporarily attach yourself to him, how would we leverage the Suzuki family’s power?”

“Hmph, if you hadn’t begged for the Suihou Pearl, this seat wouldn’t have agreed to cooperate with you!”

“Relax a bit, consider this body just transitional. Besides, temporarily leaving that small island country has its benefits… Elder Brother Lian Zhen, don’t forget the other son of this body, his status. However, if I can obtain the Suihou Pearl from the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, then I, your elder, can fully recover, and you’ll also mend the wounds to your soul. So, it’s a win-win, Elder Brother Lian Zhen.”

“But I have a bad feeling… you should know, this year coincides with the decennial Penglai Meeting. And the location marked on that map is in Mount Tai. At the Penglai Meeting, shamans and demons from half of China congregate…”

“That’s why we need the identities of Suzuki Yuuichi and Suzuki Haruxin, right? Rest assured, under my prowess, few can see through it.”

“Hope so.”

Indeed, they were an unfortunate duo.

The aircraft door now finally connected with the passageway, and passengers were officially allowed to leave.

‘Suzuki Haruxin’ stood up, straightening his clothes with a smile, “It’s been a long time since I’ve been back, this air is truly nostalgic.”

…

…

In fact, this is the first time Zhuifeng has taken a transportation tool called a high-speed train—and Zhuifeng has to admit that this human invention is indeed a bit terrifying.

Running directly at high speed for thousands of kilometers without stopping, and even maintaining a constant speed, Zhuifeng thought to himself he could never do it—he’d probably be flat-out exhausted before completing half the distance at this speed.

Even so, Zhuifeng yawned out of boredom… Across the seat, Brother Mo Xiaofei was full of energy, even muttering to himself.

Saying something about how if he had had such advanced tools back in the day, military logistics wouldn’t have been so cumbersome, and unifying the Six Nations would have become a simple task, and so on.

In short, from Zhuifeng’s point of view, Brother Mo Xiaofei seemed to be having another episode, and it was never a minor one.

Brother Mo Xiaofei was sitting upright, staring at the cup of instant noodles on the small table in front of him—the whole train carriage seemed to be filled with the scent of instant noodles.

“What a convenient dry ration. If only I had this technology back then, why would I worry about the army’s food during a campaign? The food logistics moving before the troops, compared to this advanced transportation, this food technology is even more impressive, hmm…”

It’s no use, his eyelids were getting heavy, Zhuifeng propped his chin on his hand, looked at Brother Mo Xiaofei, and yawned again.

“I’ve decided, once this journey ends, I must visit this Master named Kang and master this technology! Did you hear that, Lord Zhuifeng?”

Master named Kang… Who’s that?

It seems like it won’t be until after six in the morning before we arrive at the Mount Tai Train Station… so sleepy.

“Lord Zhuifeng, I’m asking you a question, why don’t you respond?” Mo Xiaofei’s voice suddenly turned cold.

But it couldn’t dispel Zhuifeng’s sleepiness. He yawned again and casually said, “Heard you, Brother… but you’re so powerful, what do you need an army for…”

Mo Xiaofei calmly said, “Nowadays, Zhuifeng, you naturally don’t know much. Today I’ve done a bit of research on the internet and found that many past events in the contemporary society have been hidden. Not to mention you ordinary humans have no idea, even martial artists are almost extinct.”

“And then what…”

“Back then, the world was in turmoil, people suffered endlessly, the Six Nations were at odds, people were living in destitution,” Mo Xiaofei shook his head, “not to mention the chaos caused by demons and taoists?”

“Chaos caused by demons? Chaos caused by taoists?”

“In the south, there was a drought causing havoc, turning the land barren for miles, with countless people displaced and starving to death. In the East Sea, a dragon wreaked havoc, often jumping out of the sea to feast on people. Even in the court, there were monsters disguised as ministers devouring the nation! Demons scattered everywhere, happy with their actions, causing civilians to suffer endlessly, that is the chaos caused by demons!”

Mo Xiaofei snorted, “As for the chaos caused by taoists, back then the art of alchemy was rampant, large families revered alchemists as gods, hoping to obtain a celestial elixir to transcend and become immortal. Little did they know those alchemical pills were often highly toxic, causing addiction, leading to a state of inactivity. Furthermore, there were outer path taoists teaching doctrines among the people, challenging law and disregarding royal authority!”

Mo Xiaofei looked at Zhuifeng and slammed the small table in front of the seat, startling Zhuifeng awake.

Mo Xiaofei snorted coldly, “With the calamities caused by humans, demons, and taoists turning the world upside down, I’m asking you, how could I bring peace to the world without an army!”

Zhuifeng was wide awake now but still puzzled, “But Brother, if monsters are wreaking havoc everywhere, can humans really win? You’re talking about the drought, the dragon, those are legendary huge powerful monsters in the demon world…”

Mo Xiaofei nodded, “Indeed, the power of the demons is extraordinary, ordinary soldiers can’t stand against them. Each time I fought against the disruptive monsters, I lost many soldiers. However, the Human Race, though weak, is not without means of self-preservation. At least, among the Human Race, Xuanyuan Palace stands, making even the most rampant of demons wary of truly overturning the nation.”

Xuanyuan Palace… where have I heard of that?

Zhuifeng was momentarily stunned, “Xuanyuan Palace… Brother, what’s that place?”

Mo Xiaofei gave Zhuifeng an odd look, “What, a demon like you doesn’t know Xuanyuan Palace?”

“I seem to have heard of it somewhere…” Zhuifeng shook his head, “but I don’t remember.”

He’d been wandering since childhood, barely living from day to day, having no mind for the affairs of the demon world.

Mo Xiaofei said, “In antiquity, there was the Emperor Xuanyuan. Xuanyuan Palace is the legacy left by the emperor. It is said that Xuanyuan Palace is located within Xuanyuan Hill in the North Sea, but its exact location remains undiscoverable. Back then the Six Nations were constantly at war, and the demon clan was rampant, Xuanyuan Palace sent heirs into the world, sweeping away the evil demons. Many powerful demons were subdued by Xuanyuan Palace and made into servants. Thereafter, Xuanyuan Palace’s heirs warned the demon clans, making them restrain themselves. Later, Xuanyuan Palace began to eradicate the sources of the chaos caused by the taoists, giving the world a chance to breathe.”

Got it!

Xuanyuan Palace!

Isn’t that where Lord Gui Qianyi and Lord Ghost Baby come from?

Ignoring Zhuifeng’s wild thoughts, Mo Xiaofei said calmly, “The Imperial Martial Arts I taught you, the Emperor’s Supreme Shock World Fist, was passed down from Xuanyuan Palace. It’s said this martial art was created by Emperor Xuanyuan, giving it such unbelievable power.”

“Why would Xuanyuan Palace pass such an incredible martial art to you?” Zhuifeng asked confusedly.

Mo Xiaofei said calmly, “Xuanyuan Palace only deals with chaos caused by demons and taoists. As for the chaos caused by humans, it does not intervene, saying that since this world belongs to the Human Race, internal unrest should naturally be resolved internally. This Imperial Martial Arts was passed onto me, indicating Xuanyuan Palace recognized my capability to bring peace to the world.”

“Wow! Brother, you’re amazing!” At this moment, Zhuifeng was genuinely a bit in awe—originally, he was a kid who admired heroism deeply.

“But Brother…” Zhuifeng frowned suddenly and said, “Speaking of which, aren’t your instant noodles overcooked?”

During the conversation, Mo Xiaofei hadn’t even opened the instant noodles.

Mo Xiaofei: “…”
