Chapter 2090: Appearance

A blue hand caught the top of the portal and ripped it open wider, stepping out as though the universe should be making way for his shoulders as well.

There was a whine and groan in the air that wasnʼt quite like the stomping quake of Elder Kombeʼs arrival, but somehow deeper. Rather than just the world reverberating, it felt like the cadence of their heartbeat itself was changing.

The portal was yanked open as though it was only natural a manʼs hands should be able to dictate the twisting of existenceʼs fate.

A Royal Blue Troll stepped out, a beard and head of white completing his look. The air around him was so frosty Elder Nova was practically oozing with steam before he suppressed it.

Soon after him, a fluttering array of peacock feathers appeared, an old woman with a beauty still touched by youth making her presence known.

She was a world-toppling beauty even now, despite looking to be at least 50 in mortal years. One could only imagine what she had been like in her prime.

Eyes were drawn to her like magnets, and her delicate cherry lips spread apart in a delicate smile as though in greeting of them.

Soon after, a robust man in green robes embroidered in thick gold lines appeared. These golden lines formed the image of a tree on his back, the branching lines forming the complex embroidery of the rest.

Soon after them, a group of youths followed.

Unlike the Thryskai who had many, each one of the Sachi, Golmara, and Royal Blue Trolls only brought a single youth.

They radiated a majesty that faintly suppressed the others…

And yet, every one of them had an ancient runic character on their lapels that only reflected a single thing.

A number.

The Royal Blue Troll was half the height of his elder, and yet he still stood at over four meters tall. Black tattoos covered him from head to toe, covering even his face in a mask of lines.

His runic character read… ʼSixʼ.

The Golmara was almost as scholarly as Elder Cain, even holding a very similar fan. The difference was that his was formed of metal panels and when it opened, it sounded like a thousand blades were singing.

On its surface, the image of a complex formation appeared. But when he snapped it closed and opened it again, the formation on it had completely changed into another no less complex.

His runic character read… ʼFiveʼ.

The Sachi that took a step out from behind the Sachi elder of astounding beauty immediately stole the light away from them all. It was hard to fathom a woman could even be so beautiful.

The peacock feathers of the Sachi often took the spotlight, so grand and imposing as they were. But it took several seconds before many of the youths even noticed her feathers were colored in blues, silvers, and golds.

Instead, their eyes were completely locked onto her face. They couldnʼt have even told you what she wore.

It was a face so perfect and delicate they were scared to even look at it for too long for fear their reflections might crack it.

In contrast to the Sachi she followed, though, she was completely stone cold. There wasnʼt a single aspect of her that seemed to suggest she was pleased with the attention she was receiving, and there was even less of a suggestion that any one of them was worthy of her. Because the runic character on her lapel read… ʼFour.ʼ

”It seems that so many friends are here, how grateful we should be.” The Sachi elder spoke. ”There should be some proper introductions. I am Elder Verale of the Sachi and this here is my disciple, Little Bel.”

She smiled, but the expressions of the Golmara and Royal Blue Troll were stone cold. They didnʼt seem to have any intention of introducing themselves.

And given the unwavering smile on Elder Veraleʼs face, it was like she had never expected them to in the first place. She didnʼt react like she cared about being snubbed at all.

The tension that hung in the air was nothing short of palpable, yet this woman seemed entirely immune to awkwardness and pressure.

Deuvuoʼs clan felt like they were trapped in a quagmire of powerhouses, but they managed to hold their own until many more began to appear.

Yet, not a single one seemed to be able to hold a candle to the Thryskai and Cryst Emperors.

It was in the midst of this chaos that the Weaver Guild made its presence known. It was simply not something they could miss, not when the entirety of the Skai Heaven Mortal Planeʼs upper society had come.

But it wasnʼt Fanelei.

The old man had skin of grey, cracked like stone. In fact, it was stone. When he moved, it sounded like tectonic plates scraping against one another, the groaning echo of large slabs of earth echoing. It wasnʼt as momentous as a quake of space, but it had its own grating character.

Elder Stav of the Drevak, the strongest of the seven Clans of the Weaver Guild and a man directly subordinate to their strongest Founding Ancestor.

But he wasnʼt alone. By his side, a man whose skin radiated a delicate blue and gold light. It looked like fireflies were fluttering around in his skin, almost like his skin had the depth of an actual world.

He wasnʼt wearing any clothes at all, but he also didnʼt seem to have any sexual organs, like some sort of alien.

This was Elder Moor of the Weaver Guildʼs Solenne Clan.

This wasnʼt the end either, because they too brought three of their kind.

The last of them stepped out, a man with two pairs of arms and two thumbs to each hand. Each palm held an eye within it, radiating the light of the Runeweaver Eye. Around his palms, Runes circled like the rings of a planet.

The Varath, but this one was no normal Varath. He was the strongest of them, the Founding Ancestor of the Varath.

The Weaver Guild knew that their appearance today required real strength.

Almost as though to prove this, Elder Veraleʼs smiling gaze landed on them the instant they appeared.
